Horrible for overpronate

The description listed these as Extra Wide 4E. The actual shoes said only Extra Wide, NOT 4 E. They are way too NARROW! Older Asics sneakers my husband has say 4E inside and fit well. We even bought another pair of these just to be sure. Same problem. Obviously Asics has changed how they define 4E, which should be wider than extra wide which is 2E. Not good. Had to return them.

Extremely uncomfortable footbed. Hurts my instep. Poorly constructed inside. Half width shoe laces. Cheap cheap.

Very soft sides - foot moves around too much. Sloppy fit and not supportive.

Not sure what's going on with my right foot. I don't think the problem is ASICS but my right shoe causes extreme pain in my foot. Tried larger size, still a problem. Before this purchase I bought the Gel-Contend 7 (12.5; 4E). It does the same thing, cause pain in my right foot. I've been buying ASICS for at least 20 years and have no idea what went wrong. Too late to return the Contend, but I'm returning Gel-Venture. Sorry ASICS.

Felt a size larger

The shoes do not fit true to size. In particular, the left shoe is small enough that it causes pain in my big toe. I like the Asics brand and have been wearing them for a number of years. I have never encountered this problem before AND am still able to wear my older Asics shoes that I still have. I understand that I should have returned them within the 1st 30 days, but did not do so. My bad. This is the 1st time I have experienced problems with the Asics products.

Very cheap flimsy shoe. Not up to Asics good standard. Even the laces very cheap- like dental floss thickeness. No support either. Like walking with no sole. Donated to Goodwill for homeless in 1 week and purchased Brooks at REI.

I have ordered various style of ASICS because they offer more 4E shoes than anyone accept new balance. They have always fit great. Not so with these. No way are they 4E. Placed side by side with old pair of gel venture 8 they clearly are not the same size. I have never had to return shoes to Zappos before so didn’t know the rules. I actually put them on my feet and walked around hoping they would work since the label said 4E. No they are not comfortable no I can’t wear them and no they are not returnable. When you open your next box of Zappos just look at them and if they don’t look like they will fit out em in the box and send em back. And don’t take the tag off either. Maybe I just got a mislabeled pair? I’m not giving up on ASICS but I am going to be buying my shoes locally where I can walk around in the shoes to see if they fit

I have purchased these shoes for years, the updated model is MUCH smaller!

I bought these sneakers for my husband and was really excited for him to use it. Today he put them on and they are defective inside his left shoe. Not sure but the insole is missing to the front of the bottom platform. He had to put the shoes right back into the box. I really wanted him to love these.

Fit was too tight. There was gap between the lip of the shoe and the socks after tying the laces. Laces were cheap quality. They will wear out in few months.

THE ASICS GEL VENTURE 8 IS NOT TRUE TO SIZE. IVE HAD THE ASICS GEL VENTURE 6 FOR YEARS AND DECIDED TO TRY THE 8 AND THE SIZING IS MARKEDLY SMALLER THAT THE 6. BUYER BEWARE

I have 2 pairs of Asics Contend 6 size 15, both fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I ordered the Venture 8 because I could not find the older Contend 6 in my size anymore. They were small, wide and very uncomfortable. Disappointed, but will now have to look beyond Asics.

Felt small

Since the last time I ordered a similar model of shoes from Asics, they have completely changed the sizing. My old pair says "CM 25.5, US 8 1/2, Euro 40." The pair I just received says "CM 26.5, US 8 1/2, Euro 42." What a waste of my time.

Asics has lost another customer after 25 years. Quality of running shoe has been deteriorating. I tried the Gel Venture 7 previously and they had become a poor comparison to the 6 and before. Tried the Venture 8 thinking things had improved. What was I thinking? Very little support and structure in the body and sides for a running shoe. Flimsy lacing area. Shoe strongs pracitcally as thin as kite strings and 12" to long. The size, width, and support questions were not applicable because the Gel Venture 8 was just poorly made. Too bad Asics has squandered their running shoe history. Thanks to Zappos for their delivery and return service. I wonder whether Asics wil look at the reviews.

I bought my usual 9.5 (my last ten+ pairs have all been Asics) and my toes were touching the so badly that I had to take them off before I even left the house. I then ordered 10.5 and there was two thumb widths between my toes and the inside of the shoe. I returned both and I am reconsidering getting Asics mail order ever again.
