The MT2 is what brought me to Topo, and was my favorite pair of running shoes that I ever had. The MT3 doesn't feel like it has the same quality to it. The soles are a lot more slippery, which was kind of a bust to me. I'd look at other models, especially if you are running dusty and rocky trails in California and New Mexico.

Ankle support is good, not breathable at all. Really no difference from the WP ones that are great. These are floppy and uncomfortable. My hope was a breathable summer version of the WP ones i love.

These shoes get full marks for intent, failing grade for execution. Great traction, true to size, great under foot support. Where these shoes fail, is in use of materials and method of attaching the tongue section to the rest of the shoe. Test drove these on a hilly six mile hike. The area in question abraded the top of my foot, at the base of my big toe the point that a blister developed at mile 3, not fun. I sent them back immediately.

I typically wear a size 10. My foot is a bit wide at the forefoot, and narrow in the heel, and a somewhat high instep. I had high hopes for the UV2, but to be quite honest, it's a horrible update - at least for me. I've been through six pairs of the original Ultraventure. That shoe moved me into running ultra distances. I now have 53 miles on the UV2. I won't be using them anymore. Compared to the UV, the same size UV2 is quite a bit narrower in the forefoot and wider in the heel. The upper feels sloppy. Even with as firm a hold I can get, the upper still has a lot of give. It's very easy to roll off the side. The midsole still feels pretty good with cushioning, but when running, the shoe feels slow and stiff. The lacing and tongue feel pretty good, but seems unnecessarily complicated. And it's hot. This thing does not breath. I understand shoe models have to evolve, but this one went all wrong.

I LOVE the older molder of ultraventure. I've been waiting soo long to get a new pair as my size (12,5) wasn't produced anymore since 2019. So finally got hold of those, but they feel way too narrow, and much tighter around the forefoot. What a shame

I really do want Topo to succeeded. I believe in what they are building, the team ( Go Tony P. and the CS team) and I keep on coming back to them. I think while they have good ideas, the quality control is just not there yet and they are not ready for prime time. I picked up a pair of Ultra Adventure 2's in late fall, Nov. Where the over lays on the top of the foot came together at the bottom of the tongue, it cut into my foot after a 6 mile trail run. Running my hand inside the shoe, there was a huge buildup of overlays that was pretty huge. I sent the shoes back as a warranty repair. Tried out another pair in feb/march of this year. Different color so a different batch. Still the issue of the overlays, where the tongue meets the shoe body down by the toes. You will see from the photo that after a 5 mile run on the road (still lots of snow on the trails) it was eating through my brand new socks. Not good. To add insult in injury, the right shoe, the arch support was too far aft and gave me discomfort as soon as I put the shoe on. This was not the case on the left shoe nor on the pair I had 4 months earlier, nor on a pair of Ultra flys I have. Something wasn't right here. Sadly, I had to send them back. Maybe I got a bad batch but I'm disappointed with the quality. Fix that and Topo Might have something here.

I'm a woman with large feet. I have worn many pairs of men's Topos with outstanding comfort. This shoe was so small that I ordered another pair a half size up. The larger pair was long enough but very narrow in the area where the laces begin. Stitching and seams in this area were very bulky and caused extreme pain. I'm sad that they don't work because I wanted an all black shoe. I will return them.

These shoes lasted no more than 5 weeks before totally delaminating at the sides. I would not have done more than 5 km in these over 5 weeks. Just not acceptable for such an expensive pair of trail shoes. I have had a pair of Mountain Racers which are still going after 500 km but these runventures are just total rubbish I am afraid.

I am a loyal Topo fan, Having gone through at least 10 pairs of their shoes in the last couple years as a high mileage runner. Based upon reviews I had high expectations for the new Cyclone. The good: A relatively light weight hi Christian Shoe with great energy return, feels very snappy, and *could* probably be a great long run shoe if it weren't for the bad: a god-awful, rigid, blister-inducing heel!! My feet are not usually Becky, but I could not tolerate more than 2 to 3 miles in the these. Quite frankly the poor design is evident the minute you put them on, but I really really wanted to like these. My second and last run I have 8 miles left me in significant pain halfway through, angry and gritting my teeth to get home and throw these back in the mail. Topo, you have an otherwise great shoe here if you can fix the awful heel design. Please, do it!!!
