Woman who answered my call to your main number was the best customer service person ever. I had questions on Trailventure shoes I just received re fit. She covered construction differences between these and my Ultraventures, lacing, best length and material socks to wear. She was professional patient positive pleasant courteous highly knowledgeable. Feel terrible I don't recall her name.

I use these for hiking and construction work. Always looking for a pair of durable comfortable shoes. Had them a few weeks and have worn them everyday from framing to trim work.
I've got a wide foot they have been an excellent fit

This is my first pair of Topo's and I am not disappointed. The shoes fit like gloves and give me all the room where I need it and hug my foot in the mid and heal to keep my foot from moving around. I had two main criteria for this shoe, give me to room I need, but give me to cushion for the long runs. I think I got both. Still early days, but the only issue I had that feels like it is getting better the more I use them is the where the crease is created as I go to spring off my foot. It is pushing down on the top of my foot a bit and by the end of my first run I had some significant soreness across to top of my foot.
This does seem to have eased off the more I use them so hoping it will go away. That being said, I feel like 100 kms/miles will be easy in this shoe.
I cant wait for this shoe to be available in Canada so I don't have to go through international shipping every time. I can't believe I went to those lengths for a shoe I've never worn. But the foot wants what the foot wants.

I've converted to Topo from Altra and was looking for something similar to the Timp. Picked these up for a 100k and I'm glad I did. Decently cushy and I've had no problems. Toebox is slightly narrower than Altra but that's not a problem for me.
Would recommend going a half size up if you're used to Altra sizing.

I have neuropathy and I find this shoe has good cushion. More would be even better. Tried Kuro's but this shoe is much better for me.

I had previously used the ultra venture 2 for hikes/trail runs. They were amazing. I planned a rim to rim to rim hike. The reviews were mixed on the new ultraaventures. I purchased Hokas, topos, altras and trained in all 3. The topos won out. I knocked out rim to rim to rim no blisters, no pain. Incredible shoes. The only issue is they wear out after 300 miles. But that's with all trail shoes.

Really like the fit of these. Very comfortable and stable. The upper wraps around your feet real nice, and my heel is locked in. Very happy with these.

Really nice update. Toe box is a touch refined size wise, doesn't have as much volume as v1 to me. Still plenty of room for toe splay. Mid foot retention feels improved. At times it felt as though my foot would slide forward with v1 going downhill. Cushion is excellent, I like the mid sole material used for the Ultraventure. I use this shoe for trail running & hiking. Looking forward to additional color way offerings. Traction is good for assorted conditions so far.

i'm currently thru hiking the AT, and these are the 3rd different shoe i've tried on trail. my shoes have just over 200 miles on them, and my only complaint is that the rubber on the front of the toe peeled off within the first 3 miles of wearing them. this area could be reinforced to prevent this from happening. takes some effort to find the proper snugness for lacing, as i have a high instep and too tight pitches my feet inward. overall pleased with these shoes

The only thing I don't think is great is the fit around the ankle. Other than that the shoe is great. That's why I give it a four. I use them walking hiking and some running. Very seldom wear the on concrete. Great grip. Have a 150 plus miles in them. Have gotten used to the way they fit around ankle just have had other that fit better in the ankle. Would highly recommend though

Got these for a cushioned trail runner for 4+hr trail runs in Colorado mountains with technical terrain. I have had trouble finding a cushioned shoe that works- Hoka Speedgoat 5 didn't work, Saucony Xodus Ultra didn't work..
So far at about 40mi (including a 24mi mountain race) the fit is great and dialed. The roomy toe box is very comfortable yet I still feel good control on footing on technical stuff. The cushion feels good, my feet felt fairly fresh after 24mi and 9000' of gain and loss. The outsole is generally good, though I could feel a little slipping on damp rocks in the early morning after night moisture. Scrambling ridgeline at 13000' and running down steep trail felt confident. The outsole is not the best out there but it's very usable. Running through streams and wearing Xoskin toe socks, these seemed to drain well and dry out well enough over maybe 15-30min. Overall, these felt fairly nimble and low to the ground for how much cushion and stack they have.
I do wish there was a band to retain the laces.. long laces leaves big bunny ears flopping around. Though nonissue with gaiters
I'm enjoying these shoes and the real test will be my 50mi race in a month. My final though: I don't exactly know the difference between UV2 and Mtn Racer 2, but I know the have the same stack height. My thought, why not lean a little more into a dedicated ultra distance model for the UV2? Maybe a rock plate and/or .5mm-1.5mm more stack could really make this a standout for full days on your feet moving through a variety of terrain

The 1st version of the Ultra's I fell in love with, they were perfect!l- 5 Star. I'd give version 2 a 4.5. I've had both in size 12. V2 Heel box is a bit bigger so there's a bit more play, doesn't quite cinch the heal the way V1 did. Love 'em though, Superior to other trail shoes in my opinion. Great tread, just the right amount of cushion, great arch support.

Had to size up one full size than normal because my toes were bonking the aggressive taper on the toe box end. Otherwise a comfortablely secure and neutral mid and heel.

I ordered a size 13 because that is what I wear in other running shoe brands. This shoe is noticeably longer heel to toe than other size 13s I own, and I thought I would need to send them back and order a half-size smaller. However, I find in the actual wearing the fit is just what I need. I wear an ordinary athletic sock and the fit is very secure, stable, and all-day comfortable. I have worn it for light hiking, treadmill walking, and just out and about. Because of its great stability and grippy sole, I plan to try it out as a golf shoe when weather permits.

I love Topos. I wanted to love this shoe and I think it will be perfect for many (most?) folks. The comfort and roomy toe box and cushion were terrific. I ended up returning, mine, though for a very specific reason-- the toe box is "softer" and has less structure than the Ultraventure 1 and the Mt Racer and the Terraventure. That makes them probably MORE comfortable walking around and on flat surfaces, but I found on uneven trail, my big toes slid around too much and hit the sides and I got hot spots. That does NOT happen to me with my Mt Racer 2s and so I will continue to wear them happily. I just wanted to take a shot at some more cushion. As always, the good folks at Topo were wonderful with their customer service-- answering my questions and facilitating my no-hassle return of the Ultras. And I just ordered my 2nd pair of Mt Racers so I continue to be a happy Topo customer. Thanks.

These shoes were very nice but they ran small. I'm technically an 8.5 and ordered a 9 and those were too small.

This is my first wide toe hiking shoe and have to say I'm impressed so far. I wore a 10 for most of my life and finally came to grips that my foot is a 10 3/8" and have recently gone with the thumbs width from the big toe to the front end of the shoe recommendations so I now wear a 10.5 and am happy with that. These 10.5" for me are about a 5/8's thump's space, in that way, so a little tighter fitting 10.5" in length than my usual 10.5", but are not causing any concern wearing them so I will keep them; if you can wear a 10.5 but sometimes wear an 11 you might want to get the 11 in these IMO. They offer surprising cushion and are very comfortable to walk in! I have high arches and saw a review stating they felt like this shoe had too much arch support, I don't notice any irregularities there and appreciate the support that exists there. These are being used in FL.

My feet are pretty narrow but I like a wider toe box and a fairly rigid and stable platform. The original Ultraventure was perfect for me. The Ultraventure 2 is very good but is wider/looser in the middle. It seems to be a little difficult to get the shoe securely laced. It would probably just fine fir someone with a more typical foot shape.

Usually wear men's 10.5. Had to get a 12 in these. Now they are long enough but are too wide for my medium width foot. Experimenting with different lacing but still my foot rolls inside the shoe when dealing with rocky, sloped terrain. I wear these on the job as a mostly rural express courier.
I think the trailventure boot would work better, unfortunately they don't come in black, which is required for my job.
Overall, these ultraventure 2's are the best solution I have found yet. The hunt continues...

Love everything about this shoe, best Topo model I've tried and I've run road and trail models.
Downside is the laces. Across the board they don't hold well, slowly loosen. Need a lace with a higher coefficient of friction.

I'm really enjoying these shoes. Before this I was in the cyclone and I prefer the front upper from that shoe but it doesn't lock your heel in as well as these do. I love having the extra support from the plastic plate. Would love to see one with a carbon plate.

I bought these in October 2020 for day hikes and overnights on medium to rough trails, under loads from minimalist to 30 lbs. Longest day hike 12 miles. 75-ish total trail miles so far. I am very satisfied with the fit, stability, and traction. I have wide feet with narrow heels. They fit so well I added daily wear, now nearing 100 miles in town. The soles are wearing well, but the heel collars have worn through to the foam. Disappointing for 8 months. Expecting at least 18 mo. Qualified "buy".

Great shoes so far. Have been a HOKA guy for years but these are definitely itself a nice addition to my running shoe problem. Will definitely buy TOPOs again!

I have ran in a few Topos over the years. I needed to return to a 5mm drop after a few seasons on 0mm (knees starting telling me so). Decided to give these a try since they also offered a stiffer ride. That is a fact. Took a good week to get used to that but now my gait and wheels are in sync. Now I can feel that extra bounce the tension plate gives out. The tongue is a bit stiff and long cutting into my ankle above the no show sock line. Glad to see bright FUN colors... after all running is supposed to be happy. Topo needs to do better with its colors and schemes across all RUNNING shoes - come on guys - live a little! The standard Black, awful White, typical Blue, Green or Gray are boring. I do like the colors and design of the new MTN Racer 2 that is more like it - creative and eye catching. Anyway, I am positive these will allow the 300+ miles Topo usually gives me especially since it is firmer. Overall it is a solid runner and delivers what it advertises.

I have been backpacking in these shoes for nearly 150 miles so far, and actually look forward to putting them on to hit the trails! The trails around here are rocky and "rooty", but the sole plate and the tread lugs make it safe and enjoyable. My backpack weight is around 25 lbs with full food and water, but I still have good support from the shoes.
I have had only one wear area show up and that is right at the Achilles area padding on both shoes. It could probably have a thicker material there to prevent breakdown.
Overall, I am super pleased to have finally found not only a comfortable shoe, but also a very functional one!
