Nice shoes, great fit (size 14) with adequate cushion and just right amount of stability and motion control for my 6'3" 220lbs of Clydesdale running. The best fit I've ever had for my narrow heels and wide forefoot. Before I found Topo I suffered from neuroma in my forefeet from toe constriction. Now I only buy and run in Topo shoes and have healed completely. Please keep the fit and quality up to your current standards and I'll be a lifetime supporter! Thanks Topo! Same words of support go for the Ultrafly 3 which I use on street runs. My only issue with Topo is the lack of supply in my size (14), I have to constantly check on shoes because it seems they only make a few pair in this size and then I'm out of luck until a new model is released. Please make a few more in size 14 for me.

Roomy toe box but not swimming like in Altra’s. Definitely a nice hugging snug fit without it feeling tight.

After months of physical therapy to be able to run again I am 100% convinced Topos were part of my recovery and allow me to trail run again. I never knew how much cramming my toes into shoes with cramped toe boxes could affect my feet over time and ultimately painfully stop my running. Topos wide toe box allows me to flex and use my toes while I run without compromising fit or sliding on my feet. The design is incredibly comfortable but offers support and traction for trail running in all conditions. Ultraventure 2's are now my every day trail running shoe.

Very comfortable, well made shoe for walking/hiking, and the toe box is roomy but not too wide. (I'm not a runner so I'm unable to give feedback on the shoes for that use.)

I am a walker, not a (trial)runner. For me this is the best hiking shoe I have had so far. Comfortable on any terrain. Wide toe box. Low drop. Very goed breathability. Good grip. Perfect fit. Great! Thanks Topo!

This is my 3rd pair. It's the only pair of shoes and I can stand in for an entire day and have perfectly happy feet. I don't run, but hike a fair amount and tread on steep terrain at work a few times a week, so the versatility is important.
That being said, I will get the new Topo boot next, but I'd love a Topo light hiking shoe with more neutral colors.

The Vibram sole is the main reason I purchased these over Altras. However, I've only got about 20 trail miles on these, so I hope they hold up as well as the other brand. If so, this is my new go-to brand.

These are great for the trails! They are extremely supportive for trail running, and light enough to do a few miles. The ankle support prevents rolls, but the softer grip on the bottom allows for flexibility, yet still grippy enough to hit the trails hard with confidence. I also use this for disc golf, as well as trail running. Wish there were more color ways, but the functionality beats the looks. 100% recommend!

I had to ditch my Altra Lone Peak 5 and Superior 5 purchases for the common reason, poor Fit. Constant hot spot by the lower lace and upper toe box area but the Ultraventure solved that. The open toe box area is comfortable and no more hot spot that I was suffering with the Altra brand. I totally enjoy the 5mm drop and the awesome traction the outer soles provide. I hike and run approximately 3-5 miles on easy to moderate hard trails. My only feedback is the lack of cool color options.

Nice to find a shoe that has a wider toe box. Usually have to wear a EE width but these fit great. Heel area can feel a bit loose depending on how thin of sock you wear.

I usually wear keen boots, or birkenstocks. I fractured my ankle and needed more cushioning and support and a large toebox, because of some residual swelling and simply do not like my toes being squeezed together. I tried some Hokas, and these Topos, and these won.

Topos are perfect for my feet. I love the wide toe box combined with the firm fit through the mid foot and heel. My feet run a little on the narrow side but narrow shoes are always too narrow.
I have had Runventures, MTN racers, and the Ultraventure 2.
These Ultraventures are my favorite.
I started with the Runventure 3. Mainly because that's the only model they had at my local running store. This was my first backpacking shoe. As a new backpacker, I was worried about foot problems, but these shoes were always perfectly comfortable and I never had any foot or toe problems.
I decided to try the Ultraventures just to explore a more cushioned, higher stack shoe. I thought it might feel "squishy" and unsupportive, but that is not the case at all. Just pure comfort and plenty of support. And once again, no foot or toe problems.

I decided to give Topo a try after the other 0-drop shoe brand redesigned my favorite shoe and made it unwearable. I wish I hadn't waited so long. I cant remember ever having such a comfortable 1st run in new shoes. The toe box is roomy and the cushions is not too much or too little. I love them. My only complaint is why cant Topo give the shoe a full rubber sole like all the mainstream brands my wife uses. I can already see the mid-sole foam being worn.

Really nice shoe, didn't care for v1 as that shoe was too firm, ran short lengthwise, and didn't care for the warm upper material. Those issues have been addressed in this shoe. The cushioning is really nice, however at times I did feel some rocks with the loss of rock plate in this model. The tongue may be a bit thin for some. Periodically noticed some small debris entering the shoe right underneath the ankle area. Really nice update, upper is sooo much nicer than the original. Highly recommend.

So an obvious draw to Topos is the toe box. Often over looked or not mentioned is they are extremely breathable. I am use to wearing Hokas so the Topos don't feel quite as cushy. Subsequently, they feel much much more nimble, especially with the vibram outsole. These are my go to shoes for short to mid mileage hikes or anything technical. I will be a returning customer.

The Phantom is a little more cushioned & heavier than the shoes I typically use (Newton Running), but have been a nice change of pace. As I get older (currently 63), I may transition to more cushioned shoes and this will be my first candidate. The overall design complements my natural running style.

Best trail shoes I've ever owned! In fact the only shoes that have held up against the rocky trails of the northeast for more than a couple hundred miles. Just ran a 50k in them and had no foot issues for the whole race, will give them a go with a 50 miler later this summer. The only trivial nitpick I have is the color scheme. I would buy a half dozen pairs of these if they weren't ugly as sin. Why the mustard yellow? Yuck. Please offer more choices, or make them more neutral.
