I just moved back to Germany and have been looking forward to getting my Golden Retriever out in to the mountain trails near the house for his daily exercise. I was not looking forward to the cold, wet feet. Enter the Muck Arctic. This is a GREAT boot. I have had many many different types in the past and these beat them all hands down. My wife is jealous and wants a pair badly, but she wears a size 4 and alas, the Mucks don't go down that small. I was worried this boot may just be a bit of a floppy Wellington boot, but it fits nice and snug. The footbed feels like it is very high quality. As for size, I wear a 9 so I ordered an 8 after seeing the reviews here. The fit is perfect. They hold your foot and don't have any heel slide. The sole is very very good. Traction is never compromised, even when ascending a very steep grade. They don't slip on rocks, mud or roots. Haven't been in good ice with them yet, but the design looks like it will bear the task. The comfort is amazing. I have worn them hiking for two hours in 50 degree weather and in sub freezing temps. Both were equal. I am sure when the snow starts to get deeper, they will perform just as well. Great boot! A must have if you are an all weather ambler. Well worth the money!

First time purchase of any type shoe/boot - must say I'm very well pleased. Perfect fit, comfortable and not to heavy. Looking forward to excessive use. They're a great product and I would highly recommend.

Great boots. Well made with good insulation. My only advice would be that they should list the size as 1/2 sizes. For instance, I ordered a 12 thinking that my 11 1/2 foot size would require that. Turns out I had to send them back as they are actually size 12 1/2...just a bit too sloppy. In addition, they don't hug your leg as tight as I would like. Therefore, if you have ordered a little bigger, they will slop around a bit too much when walking. Order the size 11's if you are a 11 1/2.

I purchased these boots for an Alaska Expedition. I chose the Muck Arctic Sports after trying on every other waterproof boot that I could find. I have a wide, tough-to-fit foot. When I tried these on, I couldn't believe how comfortable they were. Tons of padding makes it feel like you are walking on a pillow of air. When I got to Alaska, I was pleased to find that these boots were the brand of choice for our expedition leaders as well. When we hiked through freezing streams, my feet never even felt cold -- not so for the others in our party who were wearing hunting boots and the like... I can't say I'd want to wear these for a long time in really hot weather, but I am actually looking forward to wearing them next winter when the snow comes.

I got these high cut boot's for my husband's birthday. He loves them. He has warn them hunting, ice fishing and removing snow from our roof on cold windy days. They stand up to resist the wet snow and hold close, but not tight, to his leg. The only downside is that they are not so easy to get off. Other than that it's thumbs up! I'm hoping that Santa will bring me a pair this Christmas!

great boot so far - bit tall, and some sock grabbing

Wanted Bean boots, but couldn't get them due to supply constraints. fConsider how and when you are going to wear these boots. Comfortably snug around the calves. If you prefer tucking long pants into your boots, these will not work very well for you. If you can put your pant legs down over the boots, these will not disappoint you. Very warm boots. Would be too warm as an active boot in above freezing temps IMHO. Very pleased with these from my own personal preferences.

LOOK GREAT, COMFY DON'T KNOW YET FOR THE WARM. IT'S HEAVY A BIT.

I ordered the arctic sport muck boot because of its insulating properties. Although my first use was a relatively warm day on a pheasant hunt in Wyoming, the boots were warm. My only complaint is the lack of half sizes.

My husband has an average size foot. He wears a size 9.5. I have read just about every review on this item: 1. Half say the run big 2. Half say they run small. I ordered my husband a size 10. They say for half sizes go up to the next size up. I did and they were to large. The only downside is the returns take about two and a half weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed that the size 9 is the perfect fit.

I bought this pair of boots for my son. He loves it, but he had one complaint. The top rim of the boot rubbed on his skin and it got a little irritated.

Way too heavy for me to walk around in, just felt uncomfortable. When I wear boots its usually to work in around the farm and most of the day. These wore me out just walking across the living room.

Well built boot but extremely tight around the calves. Sitting down for an hour my feet were stone cold from lack of circulation. If you have big calves I wouldn't recommend these boots. I went back to lacrosse alpha pro boots with a wider top along with an adjustment to open or cinch the top of boot.
