Shoe is well made and i did not mind paying a premium for an American made product. Unfortunately they are not comfortable at all. The highter end NB shoes designed with foam support are much more supportive and comfortable.

Tried three different pairs (13 wide, 14 wide, and 14 double wide) of this shoe and they all had the same bump in the same spot on both shoes. Couldn't walk in them for more than 5 minutes without serious pain. All of the bad reviews for these shoes say something similar. Makes me think there's a manufacturing defect somewhere that only a few people are experiencing. Emailed customer service with this idea and they were absolutely no help at all. So disappointed in NB as I'm a long time customer and I really liked the style of these shoes.

Taking forever for return. Haven't been kept updated

I'm 65 w/ a back that won't allow me to run or jump. These got their most use on an eliptical machine. Comfortable and nice looking. But first pair came apart after 5 years. These apart in < 2. My last!

We had to send the shoes back. There were no holes for the ahoelaces on one of the shoes.

Tongue on shoe was misaligned making it hard to properly lace the shoe up. Poor quality control. I'm done with New Balance. I have owned New Balances shoe for over 40 years and the quality has gone downhill.

I did like the design of the shoe. But this was the most uncomfortable shoe I have worn. I had to return it. I dont understand how people say this how is comfortable. It is not to me

Toebox is too big from the 2E NB shoes I usually buy

I used to love NB but the company service is awful!! No customer service person to talk to. I had to email and it took 4 days to get back to me. Other businesses improve Cust service during Covid - NB gets worse. I ordered 2 pair of shoes - 1st came with no holes for laces so I returned them. Second pair came was wrong color GRRRR!

My husband only wore these as his "dress" sneakers - they did not get heavy use and he wore a hole through the reflective material on top of the toe box. Very disappointed!

Quality shoe. For me this would be a daily walking shoe, but the toe is too narrow for my foot.

I was replacing my running shoes every 2 to 3 months. I can't afford that any more, now I make a pair last 6 months

soles are to hard and I would not feel comfortable wearing them

I've been wearing NB shoes since I was a teenager. Because of the pandemic, I ordered online, which I rarely do. The shoes I received were bigger than my other size 7s and weren't nearly as comfortable as others I've had in the past. When I tried to call re: return, etc. the message said there was nobody to speak with and I had to email or text. I did that. I was supposed to get a reply w/in 4 business days. That was last Tuesday. I've heard nothing. I totally understand everyone is under immense stress but I am heartbroken by this. Seriously, I've been wearing NB shoes for years. They're the only brand I would buy... If I could attach a photo I'd send pix of all the NB shoes I still have in my closet, but my main "outside" workout shoes are wearing out and I need new ones... hence my order and this problem. I need to hear back from the company and figure out a solution or I will dispute the charge on my credit card.

I have worn 990's series shoes for years. More than likely the loyal buyers of these shoes have been buying them for decades, even before Steve Jobs wore them at Apple Computer back in the 90's. Yet some brilliant designer at New Balance who knows little to nothing about the history of these shoes, decided to stick plastic on the side of the shoes. I wont buy them till you come out with version 6, without plastic on the shoe.

I wasn't sure of what size shoe to buy and naturally they don't fit. Can't go to the post office as I'm quarantining. Now I'm stuck with an expensive jogging shoe. John

My husband has bought this shoe style multiple times because of the extended shoe sizes. The first day he wore them (with athletic sox), he had a hole in the top of his left shoe. I sent 2 texts to customer service and had no response. I am very disappointed.

As a Doctor Who has always referred patients for new balance sneakers they always used to give doctors a free pair each year. Now they stop doing that for whatever reason I don't know. Their customer service line is poor at best. The sneaker is great if fitted properly

Ordered extra wide, but not good fit.....had to return for full refund.

Shoes too small. Why can't NB carry my size in stores. I don't like having to purchase via the web
