I really liked the style and the innersole arch. I tried them with thin and medium weight socks while testing the fit but they did slip up and down as I walked. The shoe is beautifully designed and the leather of high quality, but I couldn’t make them work, so they were returned.

Loved the shoes, but I found myself needing half a size larger to allow the toe box to be wide enough. Also felt a bit smaller/shorter length than a typical 9.5 for me.

Wanted to love these shoes. They fit well, although the length seems a shade small. I would exchange them for a larger size, but nothing will fix the shape of the heel cup. My foot does not have a deep heel, and this shoes rubs my right foot uncomfortably in that area. Just a few steps put a wrinkle in the heel tab, which isn’t a problem aesthetically. However, the fact that it is uncomfortable is the reason I will try a different brand.

Great shoe, with one adjustment it would be perfect - make the heel cup a little deeper. It feels a little too low so not as perfectly comfortable as it should be for as expensive as it is.

Wish these were wider. I ordered a wide and they fit like a medium/regular. They are a great looking and feeling shoe, if only they were a bit wider on the "wide" sizes.

I tried the Wide and they were not different than the B width. Not sure what is going on. I have Taos boots in wide and they are very roomy.

I have a slightly wide toe box but can wear a regular width in a lot of brands/styles that have a more generous rounded toe (New Balance, Dansko, Adidas, Dr Martens, Keen, Merrel). Sometimes I need to get the wide width for shoes/styles that run a little narrow. Unfortunately, the "wide" width in these shoes was really really narrow still. I saw other reviews say as much but thought they might still work for me since I don't always need to go wide. I can't imagine what the regular width of this shoe would be like!

I wanted these to work out for me. They're really cute and the color is amazing. Zappos told me that I was a 7M based on my purchase of Taos sandals in the past, but I had to size up to an 8 to fit correctly in these sneakers. Unfortunately, they were still too narrow in the toes for me, and they don't make a W in this color. So, I'm sending them back and going to try another Taos model that has a W available.

The shoes were wider than I had expected. Since I have a narrow foot, I had to return them.

The shoe is great quality. They felt pretty tight the first day I wore them, but they loosened up some the second time I wore them. I think they will be one of my favorites once they stretch to fit my feet better.

I had the experience of my heels flopping out of the shoe, so I ordered a smaller size. Same thing, take a step, heel lifts up. It turns out the heel cup in the removable insole is pretty high. I tried them with my orthotics and some other insoles—much better! They're a high-quality crafted shoe. I got a silvery dark gray leather, and they look so dang cool!

Taos makes great shoes. These are no exception. My only complaint is that they are too heavy. I have several pairs of Taos sneakers and they are all too heavy. The arch support is fantastic. Reducing the weight of the shoe would make it perfect.

The leather on the camel colored ones is soft and comfy! But the toe box is too tapered for me: something rubbed on the outside of my big toe. This could be where my very long toes hit the outside edge of the shoe, and not a problem for others. I sized up 1/2 size for proper length. I think these were the closest to a fit that I've found after trying a bunch of Taos recently. I have low volume feet and long toes, for context. I sometimes wear narrow shoes.

I've ordered more pairs of Taos shoes in the past few weeks than I care to admit. Most of them run small, including this one. I finally got the size right (1/2 size up from my average size), but still, the toe box wasn't the right shape, and tapered in too much, causing pain on the outside edge of my big toe. I give up (for now at least!). I have a low volume foot, and long toes, so getting all the elements to line up and fit well is daunting.

The only complaint was I felt the tongue of the shoe came up towards the ankle and rubbed.

Awesome arch support, but like others have said, the back of the shoe is weirdly short. Enough that it would definitely bother me. Had to return unfortunately.

I’ve bought many pairs of white leather and canvas shoes before settling on these. The arch support is great for my plantar fasciitis! I noticed the back of shoe hitting lower than most of my other shoes, like other reviewers mentioned. I had the canvas Plim Soul to compare to and the Lux has a thicker sole. The insoles are exactly the same. Because the sole of the Lux is thicker, it makes the back of shoe shorter with the insoles. I wore them for the first time walking a couple miles in them with ankle athletic socks that covered any part of my skin from touching the leather. I developed a mild hot spot at the back of my heel because the shoes kept slipping as I walked. I think if I don’t have to walk too long, these shoes are great, but I’m wary taking them as my primary travel shoe. I still like them more than any other white shoe I've tried so far!

I really wanted to like these shoes. They were the perfect style, the leather was soft but the heel cup isn’t deep enough so my foot slipped out of the shoe. If only the footbed had better contour, it would’ve been perfect.

I wanted to love these shoes but im returning. They run big so you may want to size down a half size. Like another reviewer mentioned the heel cup is too shallow so my foot would slip out every step. I tried removing the insole, which helped, but then I had zero arch support and for the price of the shoe, its not worth it. Im a size 8 in every shoe I own, but these size 8 do not fit. Also - the Steel color online looks darker ( more black) but in person its more of a light grey. Returning.

I read most reviews and agree that you should order a half size up. I am normally a size 7 medium, but, my pinky toes rubbed, I returned the size 7 aso I ordered a 7.5 medium. We’ll see if the size up fits. Haven’t got them in the mail yet.

LOVE my new shoes except for the lack of cushioning underneath the ball of the foot. I will try adding some cushioning there.

Ordered a 10.5 M. I wear a 10 or 10.5 depending on the shoe. Fit true to size and width. I love the pattern, very pretty. Material feels a little stiff, and am hoping they'll soften up as I wear them. I have to wear socks with these too because of the stiffness, but I don't mind the socks. That's why I only gave these three stars for comfort. I have a canvas pair of Taos tennis shoes that has a little zipper on the side, which I adore. That's why I purchased these. I wanted another pair with the zipper but none were available in my size in a different pattern.
