I have so many Vans but these hurt so bad the cushion hurts on the bottom of my foot. Never experienced this with my other vans! They are so cute but sad that they hurt so bad! I took out the extra cushion but now they are too big. Very disappointed

The extra cushion inside the shoe makes the top part too tight. Even wearing Van's socks, the shoes are still very uncomfortable. I will be returning the extra pair I received.

How did they screw up this shoe so bad? This used to be my favorite shoe but something about the build is off. It’s rubs be the wrong way, literally. The insole is also way too thick for the interior dimensions of the shoe. Impossible to slide feet in. Really, really disappointed.

The Sk8 Hi Pro was perfect.
This Skate version is an absolute piece of garbage.
The sole is too stiff.
The inside elastic on the interior is uncomfortable and restrictive.
The fit is all wrong, skinny , stretched out.
The weight is crazy heavy, almost like a boot.
The sued is cheap, and thin.
Bottom line I returned these, they are unusable as skate shoes.
Whatever design team was in charge of this shoe needs to go make basketball shoes because you ruined, i say ruined a classic.

The shape of these are awful rub really bad in multiple spots compared to classic slip ons or authentics. Take way too long to break in for a shoe. The materials are pretty bad in the heel which make these almost impossible to wear. Also the insole is way too big for how small the shoe is so be prepared for blisters no matter what you do.

Bought two pair one for the wife and one for myself. Less than a day and blister for me and the wife. Not the same as the old pros! Sit way high on the heel and rub like crazy. Super bummed! Loved the original checkerboard pros! We returned them and had to go back to classic checkerboards! Vansplease bring back the pros. Classics are awesome but the comfort just isn't there!

These shoes are unwearable. I've spent months on and off trying to make these work but the heel rub is too uncomfortable. Aside from blisters, the shoe just feels stiff and unbalanced. Buying this shoe you expect to have extra support, better flow to the footbed, and a wider toe box. Exact opposite. The show is widely uncomfortable compared to normal slip on vans. Really big miss with these. It's a shame that they are still selling these shoes knowing good and well that they are hugely flawed. Save your $20 and go buy regular slip on vans.

Fits worse and has much worse board feel compared to the Old Skool Pro that I used to skate. Pretty disappointed

As noted my many of the reviews for this shoe, the heel cut into my skin within a mile of my first use. Unsure if this was a manufacturing QC issue or if this is inherent to how these shoes are made now. I've have a number of pairs of slip ons throughout the year and have never had this issue before.

These look way better in pictures than in reality. The heel has been so abrasive that its cut through the skin on my heels and are painful to wear. The insoles keep making my feet cramp up while skating. I'm going to keep trying to break them in but if this doesn't go away I would never buy these again and do not recommend that anyone buy these. Overall I've had countless Vans shoes in my life and never been disappointed until now.

These are not the vans you think you're buying. The sole is extremely shiny. Like, reflective shine. It looks terrible. I called Vans customer service and they said, well that's just the way they are now. If you want your black vans to shine, then these are the shoes for you. If the pictures on the page were more accurate, I would be less disappointed.

I've been skating Slip On Pros exclusivly for years and gone through dozens of pairs.
The new Skate Slip Ons are just too painful for me to wear and won't break in.
On top of that, the sole feels way heavier and stiffer so the board feel which was its best feature is now gone.
Please bring back the old design, it was my favorite shoe of all time.

This would've been my 8th pair of black with gum sole. The sidewalls are now super shiny and cheap plastic-looking - nothing like the photos. Haven't even tried them on - they are so ugly they are going back. Reading all the bad reviews on how the comfort is gone after the redesign, I'll be looking for another brand. Too bad Vans ruined a good thing.

I have been wearing slip ons as my main skate shoe for years. And I just wanted to add to the many reviews to confirm that these new slip ons are horrible. Very stiff, can't get them broken in enough to stop giving blisters. Same size I've always worn and I can't get a bigger size (I wear the biggest they offer). Really disappointed and hope they make a change so I can get my favorite shoes again.

Ive been skating since the late 90's and have been exclusively wearing Vans for skate and casual for the past 15 years. I could always rely on an off the shelf slip on and they fit my foot every time. Ive owned dozens. I can hardly fit my foot in these new styled Skateboarding slip ons. I bought a pair and had to trash them because they were so tight and killed my foot. I even cut up the suede to try and make it work. Then I just bought another pair hoping that I had a fluke. They were the same so I will have to send them back. Please go back to how they were. I will say the eras fit true so Im still a Vans fan. Just want the slip ons back.

First time in 20+ years. The heel slipped in the back of the size 5.5/7's, so I returned them and got these 5/7's (should have taken that as a sign, I've been wearing the same shoe size since the 6th grade). Sizing down helped slightly, but I still ended up with blisters on the back of my feet.

Is not sized accurately, has very sharp back to it. So much so, that they cut through my UA socks, through the calluses on my ankles and made them bleed.

The new designed extra interior tongue straps are horrible! Extremely difficult to get your foot into the shoe and forms painful lump across the top of your foot. Seriously flawed design.

I bought these as a gift for Christmas and should have read the reviews. Get them 2 or 3 sizes up. They are not comfy.

The shoes looks nice but skating wise they suck, mine ripped in the first 10 minutes of skating 0/10. I would not recommend them if u plan to skate them

Went in for my third pair of old School and I already didn't like the look of the redesign. However, I decided to give them a shot for lack of any better options.
I tried two different pairs. They are unwearable. Much too uncomfortable. And something is wrong with the heal... both pairs dug right into my Achilles Heal.
