I normally where a men's 10 but with the extra thick cushion I should have bought an 11. The look is great, but the fit is TIGHT. I'm trying to stretch them now.

There was only one issue with the shoes. There was a tiny glue spot on the toe of the right shoe. Love them though.

Shoes arrived a day early in good condition. Still breaking them in, but they slip a little on the heel so wearing the ultra low socks is a no go. Now I have scabs on the back of my heels. Just wear taller socks.

I really like the Skate Old Schools, they’re my go-to casual shoes. Same look I’ve worn for a long time with more comfort (the Popcush insoles really help with that). I’m past the age where I can tolerate shoes without cushion, arch support, etc. I normally wear a 10.5 but this last set is on the tight side. Borderline intolerable, maybe manufacturing tolerances? Typically they’re pretty consistent for me.

I typically enjoy wearing my vans to work and it's nice having the pros now because they're so much comfier! DEFINITELY size up! I wear a 9 in the regular ones but had to get a 10 for the pros.

These are the first size 13s in Vans i have not been able to wear comfortably. The insoles are thick and make the shoe tighter than normal. If you get these, make sure to go up a size or swap the insoles out.

Rating is prob more 3.5 stars.
This is a first time receiving any shoes labeled "Skate" instead of "Pro". I know lots of people didn't like pros cuz if the snug fit. The first day they were quite snug, but they loosened up after a day of solid wear. Well, it appears as if they've overcompensated for that with the old skool skate, which seem much wider than the pro or classic. The length of the shoe seems to be correct, but they def look larger and unfortunately slip in the heel. I'm going to return and get a half size smaller to see if that helps... I hope so because I liked the Pro's! Now that my feet have had some arch support there's no going back to ANY of the classics for me, they absolutely tear up my foot until I can't walk properly.

I love the look and the feel the only thing is I normally wear an 8 womens and they were too snug because of their insole. Had to return go a half size up. Otherwise really perfect shoe.

I love this color way! I like the pop cush insole. A little sturdier than the comfy cush & still comfortable to wear all day.

These look great! This will be her first pair of Vans. I hope she loves them as much as myself and the rest of the family loves them. They really look nice and I know they will be super comfy

i like them in every way i can think of, they just run a little small on me. I guess it's partly due to my foot being a little wide, but not wide enough to actually buy wides. good shoe, built super well, im in the process of stretching them out so i can actually wear them without tearing my feet to shreds. bought them to skate in, definately built solid for that purpose as well, but we'll see how they hold up when i can use them for that purpose.

I am really pleased with my purchase. I like the shoes overall and I will recommend it to anyone that ask me about it in particular. However there’s one flaw which is not a major concern but can be corrected whenever I wear it. My previous purchase size was a 9”, which, when I wear feels a like to tight, but not in a uncomfortable way, if I do wear socks it get a little to tight. This one that I bought is a 9.5” and it fits so-so okay, but is better with a sock on.

Very narrow compared to any other brand i've purchased at this size. They may stretch out as i wear them...too soon to tell. They fit and feel ok once on, but are a bitch to squeeze into.

Both shoes have torn canvas at the side wall and peeling away after less than a year of light use (no skating). Disappointing.

I wanted to love this shoe right out of the box so badly, but unfortunately, I don't. I can be skeptical of reviews, but in my experience wearing these only a handful of times, what others have said is true: these dig into the back of your heels/achilles and leave you with blisters. That might not be everyone's experience, but it's been mine. I didn't wear them enough times in close succession to learn that, and now I'm out of the return window which is a huge bummer.
Things I do like: the elastic tongue keeps it in place and avoids movement, the added support in the sole, the shorter laces, and, of course, the overall shoe design.
I recently saw the Currens in a store and wish I had gotten those instead, because they have amazing cushion in the heel. And these days, comfort trumps style for me.

They look great but they were too tight on my feet. I ordered my regular size, size 9 and I couldn't get them on and when I did my feet were smashed inside. Perhaps a note to size up would be helpful or maybe it's the style. My feet are wide but I can usually wear regular width shoes.

This is a Customer asking for you all at Vans to bring back the skate old skool black shoe, w/ black laces and black design on the side of the shoe w/ the brown rubber(gum) bottoms specifically in size 14, because that is my first and favorite product made by the team at Vans. I would be interested in purchasing that pair at the website or in store from you all at Vans.

I got these shoes because my Skate Sk8-Hi are a pain to get on and off, and I wanted a pair of shoes I can wear around and still skateboard in.
I bought these in black/black to wear to work and skate before or after without bringing an extra pair of shoes around with me.
The shoes fit well, true to size, and the pop cush feels good, and the shoes feel comfortable while skating.
Only issue I had, and keep this in mind if you are buying these to skateboard in, two short sessions in, maybe a total of like 2 hours of skating, and I already wore the "ollie hole" in the shoe. I am quite disappointed because I have skated ALOT in my skate Sk8-hi's over the past few months and they are SO MUCH MORE DURABLE, still hardly a scratch on them.
This is due to the fact that the suede doesn't come up nearly as far in the Old Schools as the Sk8 Hi. so when you Ollie the board while wearing the Old Schools, the grip is making contact with the canvas and not the suede.
I will say it's only a hole in the first layer or canvas, as it looks like Vans doubled up on material, so it's not worn through to my sock for now.
Next shoe I'm going to get the Skate slip ons, because they look like the suede comes up a lot higher, so I won't have to wear a hole in my shoe the first week, and they'll be easy to just slip on and off when needed and I won't feel like I'm lacing up ice skates every time I want to skate.
Worst case I just stick to Sk8 hi's since they seem like a real workhorse, they are real comfortable once broken in, and their function over convenience is definitely a good trade off.

They seem to run a little bit small, they're also really stiff and uncomfortable out of the box. Really hoping they break in soon.

I've worn Vans for the past 25 years and have always been great. Sadly the last two pairs of skate Old Schools have been off. The left shoe on both pairs is more narrow than the right. It's hard to notice at first try on but as the day goes on it's really noticeable.
