I absolutely love the coverage and ventilation of this hat!!! It's not for making a fashion statement; it's practical, and that's perfectly fine by me. If you want great functionality this is the hat for you!

I have been searching for a sun protection hat to wear while foil boarding. This hat fits under the helmet I wear and the hat is breathable & comfortable. The visor does not sag when it gets wet. The material drys quickly. The hat protects my neck, ears, and forehead. Simply the best!

I bought this hat for my dad for Father's Day after he tried mine on. We both have bigger heads (ha ha thanks dad) And his hat provides goods and coverage and fits great while still being super lightweight. Would definitely recommend.

I have been wearing the Sun Guide Caps for many year! They are cool, comfortable, best sun protection of anything I've ever worn and if I get in the shade and want to take it off for a while, the clam shell brim allows me to fold it up and stick it in my back pocket. I have never seen anything to compare to it for protecting my skin here in the hot Texas summers.

Love both Sun Guide and Aerial for Large heads I purchased both the Sun Guide Cap and the Aerial Cap. I like both very much. I have a 7&7/8 head and the L/XL fits perfectly. They are proportioned well that is they don't just have a longer adjustment in the back, but the hat is actually designed for larger heads. I love how the Sun Guide Cap can fold so when I stuff it in my pack the bill doesn't get wrecked up. The Sun Guide comes down a little lower on my head so it stays on better on a windy day. It also has a larger bill than the Aerial. The Aerial is more comfortable to wear but since it sits just a tad higher it doesn't stay on as well in a strong wind. It's perfect on a calm day when I just want to keep the sun out of my eyes. Like other reviewers say, the strap in the back does loosen up. I don't notice it so much if I leave it on, but if I move it around or take it off and put it back on I have to snug it up. I'm so happy that both fit my large head so well that I'll live with a strap that loosens a little. I'm happy with both.

Lightweight, durable, and fits more easily in my pocket than any other hat due to the folding visor.

Excellent cap for sun protection! Easy to carry and it washes up perfectly in the washing machine. I used this hat in Afghanistan and in Africa. Now I use it on the water in southern Florida. I can adjust it so that it doesn't fly off when I'm going fast on the water and it is not so tight that it becomes uncomfortable after a few hours of wear. The flaps are perfect length to provide great sun protection and they do not "get in the way" or obstruct your vision. The only negative thing about the hat are the snaps on the flaps. I have had one break. These snaps hold the flap on to the bill of the cap so when one breaks the flap is worthless. When my snap broke I was in Africa and could not take it back to the store. I called Sunday Afternoon and they sent a replacement to me in Africa. A great hat and the manufacturer stands behind the product. You can't go wrong with this hat!

Finally -- No more searching for the perfect hat! I do tons of hiking in the deserts of the southwest, and a lot of work outside in general. I've been looking for a hat that can do this for so long. The fold-up feature is perfect. The snaps are high-quality, and I was surprised how well it stood up to strong winds -- All I had to do was tighten the elastic on the back. The gray "quarry" color is perfect. I also own the older khaki version. It's all that same material, so there isn't a chance for it to soak up sweat. You just don't get that same salt buildup from heavy usage.

I developed a treatable skin cancer, and now must wear full protection whenever I am out in the So Cal sun. My go-to has been the Adventure Hat, and I do love it. But I also wanted something different on the hat rack. This hat is super comfortable (light and cool) as well as versatile. Great for driving too as the smaller bill works better in the car. They really thought of everything here, with the options for the neck cape, flaps for the vents, and foldable bill. Love it. Because the brim isn't as large as the Adventure Hat, I do get more sun on the lower part of my face, but closing the cape is always an option. Great hat.

A year ago, I bought the Sunday Afternoons Sun Guide Cap in sandstone to wear for AverXise: The art of flying, training, and tropical birds. I train macaws & moluccan cockatoos. Great! Does everything I ever wanted a sun hat to and looks handsome! I recently use the same hat to go shark fishing with. I look so good wearing it! Handwash nicely! For fear that it will stain & odor, I decided to buy three more for styling: one in white, olive, and sandstone for backup.

I bought an original guide hat from a flea market many years ago and it finally wore out with holes on the top maybe due to washing it the washing machine. A few years ago I bought this newer version and like it also although I wish the neck covering would not hang down so low. The original did not hang this low. I'm buying another one now because I like the style and the removable snap covering. I also like the snap style closing around your face when wearing it. Thus you are pretty much covered up without extra material as in some other brands with a 360 degree covering around your head.
