I have had basal cell skin cancer.....I need a product with a UPF of 50 or higher...this hat is great!

Love this hat, giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish it were made of cooler material for hot weather. Though it's vented, the material is synthetic, tightly woven, so no breathability. NONETHELESS, it fits well thanks to the adjustable strap in the back, folds/rolls up, and has a string to keep it from blowing away on windy days.

I ordered a large because my old one was a large, but this one runs much bigger. A medium would fit much better. Yes, I know it has an adjustment strap, but it is still large. I didn't want to incur any more expenses, so I just kept it.

Very stylish and decent coverage on the face, more than the baseball caps I wear during golf whereby the side/bottom of my face gets a lot of sun. This one covers a little more of my side and ears. I would give it a 5 except not as much coverage I'd like. However if it had a larger brim, it might be distracting. Also the adjustable part of the strap loosens. Sometimes I have to tighten during play. I bought all 3 colors. Overall I like the hat for golfing, hiking, walking, etc.

The down-sloping brim gives decent coverage and stability without the necessity of a larger brim. That said a larger brim would make this hat even better. The hat is very light weight and the ventilation is something you don't often find to this degree in this type of hat. Chinstrap is not removable which is a plus to some and a negative to others. This is a great hat for someone who wants to pack it without worrying about ruining it, creasing the brim - etc.

I like how light weight it is. And the strap to hold it on in windy conditions.

I loved the look of this hat and it really fits my needs. However, the medium is too large for me (I'm a female), and there is no small.

Great style and nice fabric. I am very picky when choosing a hat but I wear it for travel, hiking and for casual dining. I found the large size better looking then the too fitted" medium style. Highly recommend. I like the cream color best."

This is a great hat for shorter trips outside and dog-walking. I prefer my other hats, with wider brims and backflaps, for when I am gardening or outside for longer periods of time. But this bucket hat is pretty cute and functional. I wish it came in better colors; I would especially love to be able to buy it in solid black (no contrast piping).

Use for outside walking which is everyday. Good use for the sun protection. Super light on the head.

On a cool, windy day, the mesh admits an unwelcome wind to the top of the head. Moreover, the mesh does little or nothing to cool the head on a hot day. The hat would be more attractive without the gray piping. Solid green would look better.

Could be a tad tighter. Ordered a medium. Nice all around outdoors sun hat. Purchased medium Lotus at same time and it was considerably smaller.

The ventilation holes allow a cold wind to blow across the head. The hat is unusable except on warm or hot days.

I have another Solar Bucket that I bought a couple of years ago. I bought this one to get a different color. Not sure what is going on, but the new one is too tight. I would not buy another,

Not a true bucket hat: The brim does not slope down very much. The brim is too narrow to provide good sun protection. Flimsy feel. I am returning my order.
