At first I was hesitant due to price, I live and walk a lot in the city but hike on weekends and wasn't sure if concrete would wear the soles out quickly, (they did not). I took the gamble and instantly feel in love with them, firm, light weight robust and stylish. I've worn most days walking 15-20 miles and still going strong.

I bought this shoes to my fianc for his birthday, and he love it, he usually complains a lot with foot sore and he tried so many brands looking for something that can be confortable to hour his 8 hours shift as a mail man, and finally with this shoes he found what he was looking for, no more sore foot no more complaints! Yay!

I love these! The fit is perfect even though I have 2 slightly different sized feet. And I was happy that dirt and rocks didn't find their way into the shoe. Nice and snug along the ankles. They are extremely comfortable and fairly light for a waterproof shoe. Finally, the tread is that rugged, criss-crossed tread that Salomon is known for almost like cleats. Plus, they look cool. Salomon may have created the perfect hiking shoe here.

I bought these two years ago now, in the deepest darkest part of COVID restrictions. We had a small dog walking group that gathered more regularly than we would than without COVID and walked the Toronto ravines, often 10+ km at a time. We walked in all seasons and all conditions, some of which soaked me to the bone - except for my feet in these shoes, which were completely dry and comfortable. Nothing has come apart in the 1000+ km of hiking. They are easy on/off. I can't say enough good about themonly reason I'm here on this website was to confirm the shoe model name so I can get another pair as the tread blocks have worn a bit (not surprising with the amount of hard surface hiking they've seen) and they won't be as good traction wise in the coming snow and slop. This way I'll have summers and winters just like a good Canadian car driver should.

I bought these under replacement warranty for my (woeful) Ultra 3 GTX hiking boots, and I'm now really happy!! I've been wearing them for quite a few months now, and they are sturdy, comfy, and are holding up well.

As someone who's loved the speedcross since it came out, I've noticed my foot changing in the last few years. Where once I loved the feel of being tightly wrapped within my shoe (and ski boots), I now need a bit more room. Cross Hike checks all the boxes. The GTX is perfect for those Toronto winters where we don't get a ton of snow, but it's wet and nasty out.

Great fit. Lightweight. I go through a lot of shoes hiking in Arizona and the rocky terrain. This has been an excellent choice for the brutal temperatures, great support and comfort. Highly recommend

Excellent foothold! Lightweight and super grippy soles. Slip on and off easily. It is hard for me to wear any other shoes now! Love them!

Bought these for fire trailnwalking and some running. I usually head out to the Bennachie area in Aberdeenshire with its fire trails and some technical walks in places. I wanted superb grip, and comfort and the Cross Hike delivered it and some. Irrelevant of conditions these produce and they will not let you down. That's the thing about salomon footwear, it just dies exactly what you want it to do.... Everytime you need it

I wanted the new X ultra 4 to replace my X Ultra 3's that are getting on a bit but they seemed constantly out of stock. The cross hikes didn't really float my boat visually online but after reading so good reviews I took the gamble. Wow these are better than expected, comfortable out the box, grippy it's like having rubber crampons on they excelled in mud and wet grass. I even used them for gentle runs when my legs and feet feel tired and I find the speed cross a little unforgiving. Sizing wise I'd say slightly wider than I'm used to with Salomon but still fit perfectly as I typically always wear a liner sock + ankle walking sock. Even used them when wild camping after over coming my concern that low footwear might not support me enough when hauling heavy loads. Best hiking/walking shoe I have had to date and I've had a lot including a lot of Salomon.

This is my 5th pair of Salomon's, best all around shoe. Wear working out, going to hang out with friends, these shoes look great all the time in any setting. The support is perfect. Thanks again for another superior product!

I bought these earlier this summer and have yet to put a lot of Km's but so far so good. Nice and light but with great heal support. Fit is good and the tread on these are really nice. Hiked in rain and no issues staying dry. Nice purchases thus far.

It would be good if the sizes were available, been trying for months to get a pair. Had Solomon's for years this is the best one.

I've been wearing these for a couple months and loving them. Comfortable, love the grip and stability. A very minor complaint is one shoe, the laces loosen slightly. Hasn't been to much problem, so still the 5*

Bought it a couple of weeks back and couldn't have been more happy with the purchase. Went on almost 6 hr hike wearing them and they were very comfortable. Best hiking shoes I have ever owned! Light weight and innovative lace design is an added advantage.

I have had these shoes for over a month now and I love them! They are extremely lightweight and have amazing grip that works well on wet roots and loose stone. The fit is on the snug side (which I love) and it feels like the shoe is giving your foot a gentle hug. You feel super secure and there is no movement in the shoe once you slip it on. I also love the color way that I chose (black, grey and butterscotch) This shoe checks all the boxes for both a trail runner and a hiking shoe and is the perfect option for the day hiker or the long trail backpacker!
