Used them on light hikes far, good light shoe, thread design is very good, the gortex has kept me nice and dry.

Purchased within the last month. Have used for walking the dog during the comfort adjustment period. Fit is a little different than the cross shoes I normally purchase. Size is true to normal and expected from Salomon. Not sure if fit is due to my foot being narrow.

Just got them, unreal fit right out of the box. True to size. Easy on and off with the lacing system. 4 stars only because I can't rate on durability yet but they sure look and feel well built.

Have bought and used these for a few months and you can tell how good they are when you switch from these to another pair of standard shoes.
Great grip and comfort. These are my 5th or 6th pair of salomon shoes.
I dropped a star because I'm being picky. The breathability really isn't as good as the ultra range.
These are the first shoes I have experience foot odder with. Not that you notice this in the hills or walkways.
Not sure if I'd get another pair for that reason but you can't fault the quality and usability of the shoes.

These shoes have a great fit, feels good on your foot right out of the box. No time needed to break them in. The thick heel is super stable and really provides a lot of cushion. I haven't had a chance to try them in the snow but I feel the lugs would provide great traction. I would definitely recommend them to a friend for moderate to difficult day hikes on dirt trails, mud or snow. Sizing felt right on the money, for me anyway.

On my 5th day in Iceland. Very comfortable, great traction and excellent on rocky trails but my feet were soaked after the first hour in a mild drizzle. Left worse than the right - weird. Very disappointed since my Gortex jacket kept me totally dry. These shoes can't possibly be made with actual Gortex. Now stuck with wet feet for 10 days after trusting the waterproof promises.

After a break from Salomon trail shoes I came back to see if the wet grip had improved and unfortunately it hasn't as far as I can tell, these still feel lethal on cold wet Norwegian rocks and roots, the continental rubber I've been using recently is way more confidence inspiring which is a shame because I love everything else about Salomon shoes. I'll just use these on muddy trails with little in the way of rocks and roots, as they do at least grip well in mud.

Purchased this shoe two months ago and have given them a good chance. The right shoe for some reason feels to have a higher arch which causes discomfort to the point they are not usable. If it was not for that they would be the perfect hiking shoe. They are completely waterproof, have good grip and the quick lacing is good.

Very nice shoe, but does not fit my feet. Causes some pain even after break-in. Should have stayed with the Speedcross which have always worked well for me.

I am very disappointed with these shoes. I bought them in august les then month ago and immediately had problems. They have stiches on the heel that gives me a bad blisters and the laces do not hold the shoe tight, so they need to be repaired every hundred meters. I think these are my last Salomon shoes

I love Salomon shoes and have had around 4 pairs of Speedcross. Got fed up of them wearing out after 4 months if I was lucky so decided to look at other options with a longer lasting sole. Iv now had these around 2 months with no noticeable wear to the sole. But that's the only good thing to report. The fit just isn't anywhere near the level of the speedcross.. the speed laces seem too long. They don't tighten evenly and the highest point they do tighten doesn't seem high enough. This means the top of the shoe stays open and just lets debris, stones etc in which becomes incredibly frustrating. I'd go so far as they are simply not fit to be an off-road shoe. Lastly, they don't deal as well with moisture and so my feet sweat way more in these.Salomon please just stick a better, more durable sole on the speedcross and keep us happy.

I tried these CROSS HIKE GORE-TEX shoes as soon as they came to my door. I was immediately disappointed when they were on. 4 steps in my living room and I felt real pain from the strange bunching on both arches. They went directly back into the box and are now on their way back to Salomon. I've owned many Salomon shoes and ski boots. I'm noticing a real quality issue with Salomon's products lately. I'm really disappointed with these shoes and with Salomon.

I am a long time buyer of Salomon shoes
This purchase was likely the worst fitting of the entire bunch
I thought the initial foot pain might be due to the newness of the shoes, unfortunately I've had the shoes for over a month now & continue to get foot pain every time I wear them
Far too narrow at the forefoot
