I have the Patagonia Black Hole duffel 70L and I was looking for a new duffel that is smaller and more compact for a 3-4 day trip. This is exactly what I have been looking for. I love the rectangular shape, the color (sumac/bronze), and all the pocket storage - especially the divider in the middle that can be adjusted in two different places or taken off completely. The exterior quality is great and rivals the Patagonia black hole duffel. And I can foresee the backpack straps coming in handy for travel. Overall I am very pleased and would honestly pick the base camp duffel in ANY SIZE over the Patagonia black hole! 10/10 highly recommend

I was travelling to Quebec for a snowboarding trip this winter, it could hold up 7 days clothes, including two ski suits and pants, the side for shoes is great!

Used for a weekend getaway. The end zippered pocket held toiletries to keep separate from clothing. I think a pair of flats could fit in this pocket also. I liked the adjustable flap in the main compartment to separate dirty and clean clothes. Seemed a little big for a carry-on for flight. But might work if not over stuffed

It offers more space than it looks like. I love the separate compartment for shoes to have the separate from my clothing. I was able to survive with this bag only for a 9 day trip from Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Vegas and San Diego.

Fun fact: you can fit 2 BearVault BV500's in here PERFECTLY. I use this bag every trip to Boundary Waters. Lots of attachment points for bells, rope, pulleys, etc. LOVE this bag. Spendy, but worth it.

I bought this 2 yrs ago for a long weekend trip. I don't like to check luggage so this was perfect for a carry on. I was able to OVER pack for a 3-4 day trip multiple times. This is the only bag I use now. I was able to fit an extra pair of sneakers and flip flops in the side compartments and utilized the spot for my 13" iPad. The shoulder straps come in key since the bag can fit a heavy amount of clothes.

Beautiful bag and amazing how it can be transformed back into a mini bag for compact storage! The ivory white or crme is just eye popping! Love it!

Number of compartments, dividers is perfect but needs to be a little bigger. Probable push it to 45 to 48 still fit carry on.

This bag is perfect for weekend. Getaways and style is so sleek. Honestly, I couldn't ask for a better back and the bonus is that it folds into a little pack for compact storage

Got it as a gift for someone for Christmas. They love it. I have used it also and just wish it had a shoulder strap for use as a duffle but the straps that are present work well enough for that.

Using this for travel and I appreciate the quality of the product and how it folds up into itself. The thickness of the fabric suggests this will last for many trip.

I bought this duffel bag to pack my stuff in for a camping trip I went on, it's amazing for keeping your stuff nice and safe even outside in the elements and it has a ton of space for a bag that can be used as a carry on too!
