Just got these and they feel like walking on air. Never liked hiking boots because they are heavy; these are not. Also I have narrow-normal feet and these are nice and not too wide.

The fit is great -- I usually wear a 9 and ordered a 9.5. The insole is very cushy like a sneaker, which I love, and the boot overall is nice and lightweight. There isn't much arch support at all, though there's room to add an insert. These could have been my dream hiking boot, EXCEPT -- there is something poorly molded in the sole of the right boot that makes my entire foot lean inward -- not great for short walks, let alone long hikes! I don't know if this is just a faulty pair, or if it affects the design of all of them, but it's just not going to work.

I always order half a size up in hiking boots and running shoes. These fit as expected when doing so. The fit around my foot in these boots was excellent. Unfortunately, the top part rubbed exactly on my ankle bone which was a non-starter for a hiking shoe.

I bought these as a replacement for a pair of NF hikers purchased in 2016 as they were no longer waterproof. Today I went to shovel some snow, and the toes got slightly damp/wet. Will need further evaluation. Otherwise I like them. 4 .

Love the color, very light weight, very comfortable. The only thing it's a bit narrow, I'm a size 7 and walking down the path my feet hit the front making it a little uncomfortable, I would go for a 1/2 size up, other then that love the shoe.

They are comfortable and offer good support. Definitely saved me from rolling my ankle a couple times. They're stiff but I didn't have any issues with chafing on my first hike, even while walking through the river. I only wish the toe box was slightly wider.

Replacing an older pair of NF that are past their time. Reviews say too narrow, I was hoping it wasn't true. Sadly, it is. Can barely get them on without socks

These are incredibly lightweight and comfortable hiking boots, that don't look like boots at all. They do have a fore-aft rocking motion which feels very stable and you'll appreciate if you're a fast hiker. As for quality issues - I did have to return my first pair as the eyelet popped out as I was lacing up the boots. Awaiting on a replacement, so we'll see if those hold up. There is a possible issue with the back of the boot rubbing against the ankles, but for me, this was alleviated by careful lacing (looser on the top) and wearing quality socks. I can see how they might not work for everyone. They do have a snug, but true to size fit. If you want extra room for bulky socks or just out of preference, order a half size up. I did not and am happy with them (aside from the eyelet issue).

Kinda tight.. have narrow feet and was trying to find something with enough room to spread toes. They are good looking shoes just not super comfy for hiking for long periods of time. Still waiting for my refund, which takes forever..

The construction felt shoddy. On the left shoe, part of the inside of the boot was bubbling out and was pressing against my big toe.

Bought these to replace some Ultra Fastpack Mids. I've worn various North Face mid hiking boots as my daily footwear for over ten years now and these are the first pair I've actively been disappointed by. North face used to be fantastic for their ankle support, which I'm not experiencing in this boot. Compared to the previous fastpacks or the hedgehogs, the shaft which rises above the ankle is shorter by anywhere from a good half inch to an inch all around, and hardly encases the back or the sides. It feels like I could more easily twist my ankle if I fall out of balance in these compared to their more rigid, encasing cousins. With the previous gens, I could always catch my balance while falling--with these, I don't feel the same support that enabled me to do that. Even just standing in them, it feels like I might fall out of balance. The back sole sits lower and the toes are higher than the previous hedgehogs or fastpacks. It's more like an athletic shoe than a sturdy boot. If this is the direction that North Face is going to continue to go in for their mids, then I'm going to start testing out other brands.

I was so excited for these for so many reasons. I am trekking in Nepal for a few months so I was hoping these would be the ones. I took them on one 12 mile hike and I have never been so let down before with a purchase. I typically love most products from The North Face. But this time not so much, I feel like I spent a lot of money. And I will absolutely never be wearing these boots again. And I am apparently not able to get a refund so I am out a lot of money. Save your time and money choose a different pair of hiking boots.

Destroyed my feet within 3 miles on them. Customer service was unwilling to provide any solutions as well. Spend your money on more reliable products and companies. Not with the raw, blistered feet.
