I had foot surgery and needed an adjustable open toed shoe. The surgical shoe was causing me problems and my surgeon said open toed shoes would work. The problem is that the foot was swollen after surgery and it could not be too tight in the toe area. Your Hurricane Verge solved my problem. It is completely adjustable. Not only was I able to wear these out of the box but have been able to adjust the fit as the swelling has gone down. I do need a wide width which is why I ordered the men's size. I could not be happier with my purchase.

I have the gray pair. I wear these with fun socks I. Lots of colors. I get stopped all the time and people ask what brand they are. They're show stoppers!

Amazing fit, I'm a size 10 1/2 and got the size 10...very comfortable and beyond stylish, it's a little spacey at my heel but with the strap it feels fantastic

Surprised by the low ratings on these guys. I love 'em. These were my first pair of Tevas and I wanted something that was comfortable, but neither too dad-looking nor revealing of my not-super-appealing feet. These fit the bill. I went with them over Birks and couldn't be happier. Super comfy for long treks, but stylish enough to wear around town, they're just what I wanted. I found the strap system and fitting perfect, if the other reviews have you worried about that.

It feels good to know I'm wearing sustainable shoes and they feel comfortable with socks wearing out on adventures. I normally don't leave a review but I went to go test these last night and I was so happy with my purchase! I got the verge sandals because I have really wide feet and the adjustable straps looked more universal, and the arch on the shoe is phenomenal! I definitely feel supported walking around in my tevas! I will definitely be buying more tevas in the future!

Needed to replace the buckle Teva’s my boyfriend wore for 4+ years when they broke. He really likes the buckle. This design ran small on him. Had to go up a size and a half (normally 10.5, he needed a 12)

Fit and size are fine. I found that out of the box, my feet would ride forward on the sole after a few steps, which isn't fine. With some adjustment I may be able to keep them back where they should stay, but there isn't much adjustment possible to the closure straps. I chose these sandals for the snap closure, which should last longer than the Velcro one, but I would prefer the more common design where the closure strap goes laterally across the top of the foot rather than obliquely toward the toes, as I find it stabilizes my foot better on the sole.

I am a first time buyer of Teva's. I was very hesitant in buying sandals from this brand, because I didn't find them aesthetically pleasing to the eye. But when I receive mine, I absolutely love them! They actually look good on my feet! I did lots of research and read lots of reviews I did find that I had to go up a full size up and I'm glad I did. I'm usually a 10 wide and in these sandals I got 11 with the wide straps and they fit amazing.

The color is not the same as the picture. It is worse.
The shoe is very comfortable and sturdy. It protects my feet.
The strap comes loose as I walk. I always have to tighten it.

As others have said straps wont stay tight. I had to tighten and sew straps together so they wouldn't loosen. Otherwis would have been 5 star

Slight tendency of my feet to ride forward. I suspect that the diagonal instep straps are less effective at preventing that than are the more traditional (and simpler) front-of-the-ankle velcro strap.

Buying a replacement Sandel was my intent. Could not find it in any stores selling TEVA's. The Hurricane Verge looked like a match, but was not the same. Close bit not the same. Only available for order.I Definitely wanted the buckle virus velcro. Fine sand and velcro don't work well together.

This was a lovely shoe but did not fit my feet as well as the Hurricane XLT2. I have no complaints. The XLT2 is just so perfect for me that I needed to return this shoe. The return was accepted with grace and speed.

Great soles for use on smooth or rough terrain. My narrow foot slides forward in the sandal. Comfortable when I wear it a little loose. I prefer your other designs to keep my foot and sandals positioned together.

The shoes are very comfortable! We wear them hiking and walking on the rocks by the water. The only thing about them would be that your foot slides forward a lot and so you have to tighten the front strap a good bit for that not to happen. But over all we really like them!

Overall, this is a good sandal. The sandal provides excellent support. The only downside is the pressure you feel on the pinky toe. These sandals have to be broken in and your pinky toe will suffer greatly while you're doing it.

I had the original Tevas, and felt like I needed an upgrade. The sole on this are thick and are not slippery. Plus, it doesn't rub against the outside of my feet because of the padding.
My wife makes fun of them. They do look alittle clunky and heavy duty, but I took them to Hawaii and wear them mostly to the beach and during water activities, so they are very functional. I most likely wouldn't wear these if I were single. Ha!
