I thought the shoes mostly because of the brand name and because of how they looked. I liked the rainbow appearance. Unfortunately, they lasted only about one year. they got several holes on the sides within months, and after a year, the treads on the bottom were almost completely flat. I used them mostly for daily walking on sidewalks, and hiking about once every couple weeks. I walk like 2 miles a day on average. I feel like shoes should last longer than one year.

I bought these shoes because I loved the design and because I have had great experiences with Merrell shoes in the past. However, after three months of normal wear, both shoes have holes at the pinky toe. The dark design is like a tough glue which prevents movement but it causes stress to the fabric beside creating a weak area which frayed and then became a hole. Disappointing considering the cost.

I tried these because I go through running shoes quickly... (NewBalance) I power walk 6-10 miles a day. I LOVE Merrell for winter and fall because they wear so well. So I thought I would give these a try for spring and summer. Unfortunately these do not have the support and stability I need for the type of walking I do. I average 4.5 miles per hour and I have high arches. I have had many complements on them and I do tell people they are comfortable. They are for day to day errands and stuff... If Merrell has a suggestion for me for a running shoe that has stability and good support I would appreciate suggestions.

Love the feel of the shoes BUT they have an industrial chemical smell. I've sprayed them with free breeze, let them sit in the sun several days and even washed them by hand. Can't get rid of the smell. Do you have any suggestions??

I am utterly disappointed in this model from Merrell. I owned two pairs similar to these, waterproof and great built. These are extremely lightweight and my toes feel crushed when running downhill. My size has not changed and I have been wearing the same size in Merrell's as before. 6.5 M I have small feet and they are not wide. Engineering!! Please redo this design and TEST them.

I bought these because typically I love Merrell's and think they make a quality shoe. That is not the case with this shoe. Started falling apart in less than a year and have absolutely no arch support. Only positive is the outer appearance. Worth less than half the cost.

These didn't last a full 6 months before the front sides started wearing open where the toe plastic covering and fabric meet. Now I have holes in both shoes and I haven't had them a year.

They are beautiful shoes that are retroreflective and light up like the night sky with glow in the dark soles. Unfortunately, they have already started to fall apart and i haven't even had them a month. I dont wear them very often and haven't even taken them for a hike yet. Although they are comfortable, it is unlikely that I will buy Merrell's again if this is the kind of quality one can expect.

I didn't like the fabric. It was different than previously owned Antoras Perhaps it was just this one color

Both shoe's footbed separating after barely 6 months of wear (I wore boots all winter). They are the waterproof gortex version and the fabric also started snagging immediately, but that was just a cosmetic issue so I ignored. Love this shoe, just poor quality construction.

I love the style of this shoe and how lightweight it is but sadly Merrell doesn't make shoes shaped for people with a longer second toe. Even when I size appropriately and tightened, the shoe feels fine unless I mimic going down hill and then my second toe keeps hitting the front. (If you have this foot shape you will understand what I'm talking about and how a bigger shoe size wouldn't be right). This is my second pair of Merrell shoes and they both have this issue whereas another brand I love does not. I'm really sad because I love everything else about this shoe but it will probably have to go back.

Unfortunately, I bought this shoe from a local store, or I would return it to Merrell. While I love the look and initial feel, over a few hours, my feet hurt. I think the shoe has little cushioning and my feet ache by the end of the day. I give it high marks for style, but low marks for quality because of the lack of comfort. Not for me.

These are well-made, beautiful shoes but they are getting returned. Previously, I wore the Mix Master 3 (and adored them) but they're discontinued, so I gave these a shot. The heel-to-toe drop was too noticeable for my running style and even walking, my heel would lift out of the shoe. Merrell used to offer a more diverse trail running selection but now it seems either 0mm (2 shoes) or max cushion, 6-10 mm drops are the norm. Though I've worn a hole through my Mix Master's sole, I'll wear them until I find a similar shoe, likely, unfortunately, with a different brand. Bring back the Mix Master! And shoes with a wider toe-box for those of us with triangular feet.

I read all the reviews and decided to order these shoes anyway… sigh. I’ve had them since august and don’t wear them very often and I noticed the other day I’ve developed holes at the toe crease on both shoes. These shoes cost too much for this to be happening after six months and not even everyday use. Im extremely disappointed and will be contacting Zappos customer service in the morning along with Merrell.

Although the shoes were very comfortable, both shoes split by the small toe area within the first month of wear.

I have owned a lot of Merrells in the past and been very happy with them and they usually last over a year with heavy use. I get a lot of complements on the color and design of these, but these got holes on the outer pinky side of the mesh within 3 months. Not the quality I expected from Merrell. Also the pink color came off the rubber on the back after a single wear.

I was surprised - I bought a pair of these last year and loved them. But this time, the fit feels much more snug and pinches my toes. Not sure if they redesigned or something. A shame, I loved my first pair.
