I know the reciews are 50/50 on these sandals but here's my take... I like these sandals, a lot. I'm a true 9.5 and first bought them in a 10. Fit nice in some ways but too big in other ways. Tried the 9 and they are the ones I kept. They are a smidge (and I mean a SMIDGE) smaller in length than I'm used to but they work just fine for me! They aren't too small. So if you are a half size, go down or the length will be too long. As for the straps, you do have to play around with them to get them just right. I figured out what worked for me and I even thought the back strap would slip off... but they did not! So that gave me anxiety at first but it turned out to be fine. The strap drops a little on your ankle but doesn't slip if you tighten enough. The comfort though - SO COMFY. The most comfortable pair of sandals I own, and I have over 6 pairs of Birkenstocks. These are like walking on a squishy cloud but since they have some arch support, there is no pain for flat footed folks like me! Omg so comfy. I will say the foam soles do make my feet sweat. Not sure if it's me.or the foam or both but it happens. Not unbearable though. Also my shoes squeak a little sorta but that could be the sweat and the way I walk. Either way, while it has some cons, the pros do outweigh it for me. I have a bunion so I can't wear traditional Teva-like sandals because the nylon would rub on my bunion. These shoes have a neoprene lining on the straps in those areas so not rubbing! I'd say a day to break in and then amazingness from there on out.

I have a normal shaped foot and these sandals fit perfectly! They are quite comfortable and really fun! The straps can be adjusted to hug your foot. I'm ordering another pair.

Alpine sandal is comfortableand comes in good colors. My feet are two sizes different due to past surgeries and a neurological deficit that makes my left foot big toe and the little toe poke out I am returning the 7 to try a 6 that may align better with my toes--size 7 had plenty of space at the end so maybe the smaller size will work for both feet--will know in a couple of days. cute cute cute. This time I chose the gold color.

I haven't worn these out of the house yet so I can't say how they will truly feel for outdoor wear. I did walk around inside with them and after some trial and error with the straps, found them comfortable. At first I had the straps adjusted too tightly. After loosening them, the shoes were much more comfortable.
