Moab Speed has been out on short hiking trails around town, and like my other Merrell's, will hopefully go international later this year! Lightweight, excellent trail wandering shoe. This is the shoe that gets you back out exploring the world this year!

Very comfy with no need to break in. Loved Arizona hiking in them.

Been a Merrell fan for years ... the Moab Ventilator is my go-to shoe in the cold weather months. But I wanted a lighter weight shoe for the warmer months and tried the new Moab Speed and am very happy with it. It has lots of cushioning, it feels right on my feet and I can already tell it will do the job comfortably and with support on my daily walks. My only issue was with the sizing .... I always wear a 91/2 in my Moabs but needed to get a size 10 for this new model. Between the toebox not being as high as my other Moabs and all the extra cushioning, my feet were crowded in my usual size and I was glad I exchanged my purchase for the larger size. Happy with my new shoes!

I freakin' love this shoe! It is so lightweight and supportive. The tread is amazing. From slip resistant to stability when we went hiking. Feels like a sneaker but could definatley take you on a hike! This is a wider cut toebox, which was great for me. Moved to one of my favorite Merrells! I wear them almost every day.

This shoe looks really good, sleek design,very light weight, but I should have gotten the wide width some times with Merrell, the regular shoe is just too narrow, for me its this one,

Cushy, light, look good, but not the most stable for my ankles on roots and rocky paths

Excellent traction during hiking, comfortable enough to wear everyday. Performed okay in rainy conditions. Kept my feet fairly dry, but shoes are still damp inside 12 hours later. Easily wore without the normal "break-in" period. Fits true to size and all sock thicknesses can be worn easily with comfort.

Love these shoes, just wish they had more padding on the insole. Love the colors and the tread.

Overall a good hiking shoe. I give it 4 stars because honestly the laces have been better in their other hiking shoes. These laces need a lot of effort to tighten and they still get undone!

I missed having the textured leather swen on the outside; was surprised to see the colors in on one piece of fabric

I haven't worn these outdoors yet just indoors to get the feel of the fit and to decide whether or not to return within the timeframe. These are very comfortable walking around the house although I had to wear a thick sock (thorlos) as the shoe feels a bit big in the heel area as if they will slip a bit. I normally take a 7.5 but purchased the Merrell Bravada 2 this past winter and had to go to an 8 for a good fit so decided to purchase this in an 8. I will be using these to walk 5-8 miles on a paved walking trail and fingers crossed that they give me the comfort I expect at this price line.

I ordered a size 9(which I worn for 10 year) and they were too big. Sent back and got a 8 1/2 and they were tight. I hope they go back to their original sizing.

Great fit. I've done 3 long hikes with them, no breking in needed. It was really hot and humid climate (tropical) and the shoes where not to hot and it kept my feet dry (aside from the sweat evidently). Felt comfortable and secure with the sole on slippery rocks, muddy and sandy terrains. Due to the cusionning of the sole here was no extra fatigue in my feet and joints aside from whatever long walks will do! I usually wear boots but decided on a smaller item for this trip. The transition was not a factor and aside from the ocasionnal ankle twist (a speciality of mine) there was no issue what so ever.

I just got mine . Love them . Very comfortable. They are my favorite color.

I bought these last month and they required very little break-in time. I feel like these run a little bit small. I normally wear a size 11 and my toes are right to the end of the shoe.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Hike 3-5 per week on sandy and boulder filled trails, zero issues.

I should have read the reviews more closely the shoes run at least 1 small and are on the narrow side. I usually wear a 61/2 medium but had to send them back for a 7 1/2 which is just long enough and still tight in the ball of the foot but now they slip badly at the heal. I'll keep them and make them work. Customer service on the return was excellent

The Moab Speed is a very light shoe! I love the color, it's comfortable and supportive in the arch. The toe box is very roomy. Looking forward to putting many miles on these girls!

I have high arches and they have pretty good arch support. What I love most is that both sides of the heel feel supported and my legs feel aligned perfectly. What I don't like is that the toe area is pretty wide and high. When I walk, all of the extra material bends and pops. My foot would be much more comfortable with that area tighter and nicely hugging the foot.

Hard ti compare to any other hiking shoes since this is my first pair of this type of shoe, but they were comfortable and felt very sturdy with good support. Hiked in Death Valley over sand dunes and salt beds mostly and desert terrain, nothing crazy but felt very good walking/hiking in them. Only gripe I have is that they are a pain to take off/on. Once on, don't plan on taking them on/off often as it was difficult due to the precise fit of the shoes.
