This shoe was the first Merrell to not fit on the first try. I have always gotten the same size and had no problems with fit. It was tight and pinched my small toes on both feet. In addition it didn’t hold my ankles in place. Went to DSW and bought Moab Vent & they are perfect, like I expect from Merrell.

Very comfortable out of the box. Much lighter than the standard MOAB. Sneaker-like, but with vibram souls.

Great design, terrible execution. This shoe is massively too wide. (Size 13 - could be they just failed to scale the shoe as the sizes increased.) Would be fine for Sasquatch. The awesome upper material folds over on itself there is so much of it. Sent them back.

Fantastic hikers! SUPER comfortable with big cushy tongue and good support. Soles seem super grippy too.

This style feels much more comfortable than other styles of Merrells I have owned. Also, this style does not make a squeegee sound when walking on a hard floor after walking in any kind of liquid. I just hope the shoes hold up over time. I got for work, but they look good enough for casual wear.

I have been wearing Merrells for many years now and have always been happy with them until now. I initially ordered size 10 which has always been my size in Merrell. When they arrived my heel kept on coming up in the back on both feet on every step. I got them changed for a size 9.5 and even though the shoe is much tighter overall my heel still keeps coming up on every step! This has never happened with Merrells before and it is very disappointing. It almost seems like it is some crazy design change that they believe that it's good for the foot to move around in the shoe at the heel! No amount of changing the lacing or wearing different inserts make any difference whatsoever. I suspect if I walked any distance in these shoes I would get major blisters on the heel. I am very disappointed and I am not sure now that I would ever purchase another pair of Merrell's because of this. My advice would be to stay clear of these particular shoes unless you like your foot moving around in the shoe on every step you take.

Bought these shoes on sale. They were exactly what I needed to ease the pain from a bout of planters fasciitis. This allows me to continue my daily 4km walk to stay healthy.

LOVE these! Got them, put them on, took a 7 mile hike! No problem. These are my 5th pair of the Moab speed, they are great for hiking, walking, every day use.Traction while hiking is great, even in loose rocks. They are light weight. I buy a half size up. My favorite!

The shoes are very comfortable and sturdy. I have not had the opportunity to put them to a greater test than all-day walking. They have done that ver well.

Forget the running part, most comfortable i ever owned. Multiple surgeries on left knee and the support and cushioning have allowed me to run again.

Excellent as a walking shoe. This is my second pair. I use them in the winter because of the traction. The cushioned step saves my back during long walks. This is mostly why I bought them.

Love these shoes. The toe cap protector actually covers the wear spots which is rare with shoes nowadays.

Just tried the Moab Speed for the first time. I really like the fit, comfort and the light weight feel of the shoe. So far these are advancing toward being one of my favorite Merrell shoes. I have ben using Merrell for years. Did the John Muir Trail on a mid height Moab waterproof boot a couple years back and have replaced those with the same style. Light enough for every day use and rugged enough for hard trail. The Speed is not as rugged looking, but the comfort and weight make them a great shoe.

I bought 2 colors and they have been my favorite shoe I've ever had. I have scarring on my plantar tendon from working hard on my feet my whole life. These make the pain dispappear.

Love this shoe. I wore one pair out and had to get another pair while they're still available. Also bought a waterproof version for those rainy fall dog walks and hikes.

These shoes have been awesome from day one. I've put roughly 50 miles on them hiking various terrain in the Cascades and they have not let me down. They are lightweight with good traction and a steady wide base that gives me confidence when hiking over variable trail conditions.

Have two pair of the Moab Speed. One waterproof, one not. Use the Moab speed in warm, dry weather. Light weight, breaths well, and very comfortable. The waterproof pair works very well here in the NW, when it's cold and rainy. Both are great shoes.
