I bought these shoes a year ago because of the great reviews and versatile, inoffensive style. I am a pretty fashion-conscious person and wanted shoes that were comfortable yet stylish as I went on my first trip to Italy. I took the next year breaking them in and found them to be comfortable but noticed some rubbing on the back of the heel. Purchased a roll of moleskin just in case. Well, the moleskin wasn't enough. I'm not sure what happened but I was wearing these around the streets of Venice and Rome with the back tucked under my foot because I was in constant pain. I drink a gallon of water a day and am a very active person who eats a varied diet with lots of protein and veggies and whole grains so this wasn't due to dehydration or being unhealthy - but my feet swelled up and the shoes cut into them. Blisters on my heels, sides of my feet, even with moleskin AND band-aids. I ended up borrowing my daughter's Keds for the rest of the trip (we are the same size) - no issues from then on. 2.5 stars as they're beautiful for what they are but not meant for walking 30k steps a day. I have a high arch and a narrow foot size 6.5 but these run small so I got a 7. I will likely use them again but not for the type of travel I bought them for.

Love the look but the band in front is uncomfortable.

I bought the shoe in my size and it looked so really nice on. The shoe is super cute but the front strap dug into my feet it left blisters. Expected more comfort from Sorel.

Looove sorel, have their boots and this sandal would've been perfect; but the back strap pushes my foot forward making my toes hang off at the front off the shoes! Sorel please please make this sandal without that vertical strap in the back,

Almost all my shoes are Sorel because they're always so cute and comfortable... BUT these are the first pair of Sorel's I've owned that I can't wear for more than 10 minutes. The straps cut into my feet, especially on the top of the toes, and it's sad because they're so cute. Can't recommend.

I have loved every single pair of Sorels I have owned, but these are so tight. I have really boney, little feet. These cut right into the top of my foot where the elastic is. I thought they were fine, but I walked around in them for a couple hours and they became super uncomfortable. The band is way too tight. Sad because they are cute.

These sandals felt nice comfy and airy but after 20 minutes the upper part that goes around the ankle and instep got very painful and the entire area was swollen. I tried to reposition the elastic part but nothing worked.

These are cute and appeared to fit fine. I have narrow feet so they weren't rubbing when I tried them in my house and seemed comfortable. Boy I was wrong. The front strap rubbed blisters to the point they opened up on both my big toes within 20 minutes of walking the first time I wore them. I only walked a mile but they started hurting halfway to the point I was wondering if I could make it back from the fire that was burning on my toes from the friction. When I got to a place I could take them off, my skin was literally peeling off my toes and they were oozing clear stuff from the wounds! Never in my life had I had shoes do this. This is beyond break in period, this is just straight up bad design. This was my first pair of Sorels and I'm so disappointed and frustrated, these will likely be my last. I was so excited to try Sorel too because they're shoes are beautiful.

The sizing is affected by the strap over the lower foot as it is not as elastic as other models of this shoe, being a harder leather. I needed to stretch the leather just to wear for the one occasion that I needed them.
