I have narrow feet with high arches. This boot fit well so it might not be good for people with wide feet. Comfortable right out of the box. I did a two-mile test walk without getting blisters. I expect they'll only improve.

Too tight. Very heavy weighted boot.

Really nice soft leather. Sooo comfortable from the first time I wore them. I have the black color too.

I could rate the boot a 5 but right boot arrived with a scuff.

Really, really wish these would have worked for me. I love the design and how lightweight and sleek they are for combat boots. I tried these on wearing thin wool socks and in the evening (because I want to be able to wear them in winter, for long city walks, and potentially all day long). I usually wear 7.5 in street shoes, sometimes 8 depending on the brand. My feet are not wide all over - toe box is on the wide side but heels are narrow. They were a little tight in width (right around the ball of my feet) even after loosening the lacing, so my feet seemed to "spill" over the edges a little bit, but the length was perfect and my heels fit nicely. I thought maybe I could make it work in spite of the tightness, but unfortunately there was a sharp, almost stabbing pain going straight down into the top joint of my big toe (right where the toe connects to the rest of the foot) on both my feet, even while just sitting. The pain went away on the right side after I loosened the laces some more, but it didn't go away on the left. I've experienced this pain in my left foot before from a different pair of boots (non-lace-up) and I know it only gets worse, not better, over time. Even if I was okay with using an alternate lacing technique (I'm not because it would mess up the style of the boot), I suspect the pain isn't the kind of thing I can fix with that, given that the boot design overall was a little narrow for my toe box to begin with. Not willing to risk long-term foot injury, so sadly these shoes are going back.

I absolutely loved these boots when I got them, but after one winter they definitely need replaced because of their appearance. Although still fully functional the material is scuffed and creased pretty bad.
