Very comfortable my husband has has feet and leg problems these sneakers seem to help him alot

Bought them for walking. Feels like walking on clouds. My feet love these.

Bought these for my husband who is on his feet all day at the hospital. He had been complaining of pain in his heel, however since he got these, he says he barely feels the pain. Seems the hype is real. Will definitely recommend.

My wife got these shoes for me after many attempts, well they are the best shoes ever, should have listened to here. My knees don’t hurt anymore, my back is getting better and they are the most comfortable shoes, never had to break them in.

I am not a runner or even a walker. I've had my share of quality footwear, but I have little in-depth knowledge of high tech running shoes. I've found recently that walking makes my right knee hurt. Not mountain biking, or even hockey, but simply walking. Grumble. Now, at 61YO, I have taken a new job that can see me on my feet for up to 8 hours straight, and cover about as many miles as I care to (I don't!), all on a cement floor. Four different pairs of existing New Balance and Merrell shoes simply were not cutting it. I needed any help I could get to relieve the surprisingly extreme discomfort in my entire lower body that I felt after a long day. In poking around the Zappos website, looking generally at high end light hiking or trail/running shoes, I kept running across this Hoka thing. Never heard of them. I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about and looked into them. Search lead to read lead to purchase, and after two whole workdays? In an acronym... OMG! Within 2 steps, even on the thick shag carpet in the family room, I could feel the extreme cushion in the soles. They actually took some getting used to in terms of balancing, relative to walking on a normal shoe that feels like walking on boards by comparison. Having quickly adapted, and now having worn them for two workdays, the reduction in overall body stress has been immediately obvious, and quite remarkable. I've never liked running shoes. I always felt that I was on top of the sole, with my heel able to slide to this side or that, and always the whole foot sliding down a ramp and into the front of the shoe, cramming my toes. I'm probably a quarter size larger on my right foot, with a second toe that is a tad longish and very vulnerable to irritation, which can become extreme. Absolutely NO such problems in this regard with the Mach 4s in size 12.5D. The heel socket and ankle bone clearance are spot on and very comfortable for me, and despite the extreme light weight of the fabric of the uppers, and the notable cush of the soles, I feel like my foot is perhaps surprisingly well supported and stable. I would call the fit performance-snug, even laced moderately loosely, but without any hot spots or irritation. A tech savvy hockey player would say they had minimal negative space inside. They almost feel like a high end custom skate that is built from a 3D scan of the wearer's foot. Thankfully, these shoes only cost 10% of what such a skate does. I'm not normally this immediately impressed with anything, and I am definitely not disposed to being a fanboy. It's possible that I might someday find a more comfortable shoe, but I can't imagine it.

I LOVE THESE! I am a woman and wouldn't say that I have a wide foot overall, but a wider toebox. I got a wide pair of women's Hoka's, but it wasn't as comfortable as the men's pair of non-wide/normal shoes. I use these for Hiit/Tabata workouts which I do on carpet over concrete. They are padded enough that my knees don't hurt, since I am jumping and doing plyometrics off of an 8" workout bench. I would recommend, and if I hadn't already gotten the other wide women's shoe for walking, I would have gotten 2 pairs of these--one for workouts and one for walking. They are that good.
