I love my Clifton 8's for road runs, so I bought a pair of Gaviota 3's for work. After 12 days, the sole started to peel off and part of the upper ripped. I thought I finally found a shoe that could keep up with my day to day, but I'll have to keep looking.

The shoe is comfortable but after 28 days of owning them the rubber started coming off of the sole. I only wear these shoes to work so they were not worn everyday. After contacting customer service they tell me they are under warranty but I have to send them in and wait approximately 10 days after being received to be issued another pair or refund. These are my only shoes for work so I need to buy another pair just to wait on a replacement for poor craftsmanship. I would not recommend these shoes. They fell apart in less than a month and the company is not willing to fix it without putting the customer in a bind without shoes or a refund until it's convenient for them.

I'm a 52yo Fire Inspector that is getting in shape to attend the Police Academy for a promotion. I was told by a fellow firefighter that these would be a great shoe to walk/run in. But unfortunately the shoes I purchase started giving me pain in my achilles area, if I go without wearing them for 2 or 3 days the pain goes away. I was told by a local running store that carried the Hoka brand that the cushion in the sole is to soft. I'm also a big man 6'7" 300lbs, so maybe just the wrong shoe for me.

The outsole is pealing off. I tried sending a photo but it takes to long to upload. Will send back but is a waste of time and money. I will prefer not to buy again and use another brand.

This was the SECOND time I tried this shoe thinking there was improvements made on this shoe and NOTHING has changed. NOT the shoe for me. The shoe leaves no space for you to wiggle your toes and if you CAN'T wiggle your toes for movement NOT the shoe for me.

Decided to give Hoka a try after relying on Merrells. Since purchasing these shoes 60 days ago or so I've noticed a dramatic increase in my plantar fasciitis and Achilles pain. I use these in the workplace where I stand 4-5 hours a day. My merrells have never resulted in similar pain. Will not purchase again.

The sole is coming off after wearing three times. No running, just an average day. Very frustrating. I bought a pair of Hoka's a couple of years ago and they were average at best. I have been having bad plantar fasciitis, so giving them another chance. I really like these, my foot feels better, but the sole coming off is an issue. Awaiting for a new pair, but have to send these back first...

These look great. I really like them and there really comfy but the bottom soul is coming apart after less then 10 wears. Just walks,no running in them. Very disappointed in the quality. For the warranty claim I have to pay return shipping $20 and I already paid shipping $20 when I bought them so I'm gonna just deal with it. $40 total in shipping expenses makes it not worth it and makes me regret ordering directly and not buying local.

A lot of my healthcare co-workers sware by Hoka. And to begin with, they were super cushy. But I did notice my feet hurt when I took them off. After 3rd or 4th shift, my knees started hurting when I wore them. I guess it just depends on the individual. By the 7th sift, they didn't feel cushy anymore. And my knees and hips bothered me when I had them on. Had to stop wearing them. On a positive note, Hoka took them back and refunded the cost of shoes.

The rubber on the bottom of both shoes started coming off literally the day after I got them. These shoes are trash.

I like hoka's and have bought many pairs between my wife and I. But our last pair each has resulted in hurt ankle. Tendinitis, we are big people and bought pairs that were most stable. This was not a longevity pair working a 12 hr nurse shift.

I am 6'5" 250 pounds and these shoes were very stiff and actually hurt my feet. If your a big person I would go with the bondi however I have had a problem with my bondi 6 and bondi 7 making a very annoying creaking sound on the right shoe on both pairs when I walk

It was too heavy to walk. Not good grip, slipped at times while walking on concrete. Have tried Bondi6 with no issues. Won't recommend this shoes. P

Let me preface this by saying that I have worn my old pair of Gaviotas pretty much down to the nub and loved every mile of it. The new Gaviotas are just as comfortable and stable as the old ones, but I have a problem with them. I'm an older guy who does 99% of my workout on a treadmill. My old shoes started slipping a bit on the belt and figured I was time for a new pair of shoes. I also did a through cleaning of the belt, which did give my old shoes traction again. However, the new shoes still slip very badly to the point that they are extremely unsafe at any speed over 3 mph.

The shoes are very comfortable. I am 6'5" with size 14 feet and I weight 260lbs. I have been working out very regularly and with these shoes I was doing 6 or 7 workouts per week for about 1-2 hours per day. I used them for treadmill running (up to 3 miles a day) and basic weigh lifting. For the first 2 months they were fantastic! In month 3 I noticed I was getting holes in the fabric in my heel area. By the end of that third month my heels were getting terrible blisters, even through thick padded hiking socks. I decided I had to put the shoes away and have had them sitting in my garage for the past couple months. I'm extremely disappointed that shoes this expensive wore out in less than 3 months. My past workout shoes have lasted for up to a year and none of them have had the poor wear in the heel area that these shoes did. See the pictures for what I mean. The plastic inside the shoe rubbed my heels raw. I can not wear them anymore.
The shoe only wore out at that part and were otherwise perfect. And yes they do fit my feet correctly. I had no more heel slipping in these shoes than I do in others.
Edit: As many times as I try, the mobile site will not let me upload my photos so I'm going to unfortunately post the review with no pictures.

I used these shoes for less than a month and 30 miles. The bottom of the heel was already completely worn through to the base material. I have a pair of Gaviota 2's that are several years old and don't have much more wear than these. The material for the contact areas needs to be something more durable than the current material. I returned these and purchased another brand.

I didn't like this at all. It was too big length and width. The heel was cut short and it felt awkward. I'm used to wearing Brooks sneakers and I love them. I have about 8 pair different styles.
I'd also recommend:
