Fit was fine, but the arch is too aggressive for my totally flat feet. I only wore them about an hour and my feet became red bruised and swollen. Had to go back to my Columbias.
I'd also recommend:

The toe box on this version is much wider and is causing blisters on my toes. Would not purchase again. This is my 10th pair of Hoka's. Arahi 4 was much better fit for me.

I had to return these Arahis because I have narrow feet, and I was swimming in them. That seems strange to me, since I had heard that Hokas run narrow!

I have returned this due to missing/inadequate support for overpronation.

I tend to pronate so I bought a show with stability. This shoe maybe me OVER supenate causing me massive hip pains after my first short run. They went immediately back.

I had a major knee surgery a couple years ago. I still run a lot but was looking for a shoe with more cushion to mitigate the repetitive impact. I made it less than a half mile in them. They feel incredibly awkward, changed my entire stride (not in a good way). I'm sure certain people can adapt to this shoe but it's not for me.

The Arahi 5 was recommended to me as I need a stability shoe to correct for overpronation. Shoes fit well, but left knee hurt after initial 6 mile run. Two days later, I took them for a long, easy run. Right knee started to hurt after about 10 miles. Now I still can't run 11 days later and counting. Shoes have been returned.

Great shoe, but not for me. The toe space was a bit wide and caused bruising and blisters. I promptly returned the shoes, but have not heard back.

Thank you for ruining a great shoe. I have been through 4 pair of the Arahi 4s. Within one mile in the 5s, my lower back was screaming, and so were my knees! What did you do to the shoe? It feels softer, like the Clifton, but I don't want a Clifton (for one they last half as long as the Arahi) So, I went to another brand......again. Grrrrrr.......

I am on my fourth pair of ARAHI's and I love them...except for the inside back of the shoe where my heel sits. I have an Achilles heel condition and my Hoka ARAHI's simply make this condition tolerable, but the inside back of the shoe wears out too quickly. I also wear Brooks and Brooks has developed an excessive wear paid in the inside heel area of its shoe. After over 1,800 miles of walking, my Brooks soles are showing wear, but the inside remains intact. C'mon, Hoka, I shouldn't need to line the inside heel area of my ARAHI's with duct tape to keep the material from wearing through. Have your designers check out a pair of high-end Brooks shoes. Thank you.
