The Hoka Arahis sucked the joy out of my running stride. They are lifeless. They land with a plop, and offer little return energy. Hokas are supposed to be soft-soled and springy, and these are not. The soles are a lot stiffer than their marshmallow-like thickness would suggest. My other running shoes (Altra Escalante) have half the sole height but easily twice the cushioning. I ordered the Arahis in wide - they're not. My foot felt cramped in the toe box. Pity that you have to spend $130 to find these things out.

No real difference from competitors. Not sure it is worth the extra cost

Absolutely love the shoe
Wanted to buy another pair, but after wearing them, have a blisters on the side of my heels in both feet.
I am hoping it is not an issue long-term

I wear size 13. Arahi regular was too big on foot & lacing eyelets are very close side-to-side, so that I could not lace tight enough because each side's eyelets were touching each other & prevented tighter lacing. Heel also rather wide, although I do not have a very narrow heel. High level of cushion meant that even for only walking, the shoes were not very stable-=too much 'give' when they met the ground.

A few years ago I was introduced to the sneakers and I really like them. They are extremely comfortable and they are good for my flat feet.
Over the last couple years the color schemes have gotten worse. I still purchased but not fond of the options of colors.

Arahi 4 fits and stretches to accomodate my bunion well. They added some reinforcement across the toes of the Arahi 5 that does not stretch so I cannot use them. I hate when they change a good thing and make it worse.

Love my Arahi 4s, but the 5s are tighter around the toes even in the wide width.

Comfortable shoe but not for me. I found it to be not as supportive as I need and arch support was not adequate for me. It also feels a little too big.

They changed the model and the toe box is too big, they seem to be running about a half to a whole size too big. They tongue is too soft and hard to pull up expecially when you have a shoulder injury. The back heel area too soft and gets stuck on the back of my heel, which causes a cramp in my foot. They are so difficult to get on. Why do they always change the model that works to a model that is so uncomfortable!

the shoes didn't last long before they started to lay on the outside of my right foot I ordered a different style shoe but everything was out of stock on backorder so I settled for these because they couldn't get the others I'm sure I could send back but I'd be out of shoes again for a few weeks again but they were comfortable for a short time tho I wear a size 12 but had to settle for what they had a 12 and a half

I have a part time job where I walk a lot. I also have plantar fasciitis. I usually buy Brooks but people suggested these Hoka shoes. My feet hurt worse after wearing the Hoka's.

I had heard great things about these shoes but are lacking in stability. The weight of the shoes is good it's just the structure of the shoes aren't up to expectation

The shoe feels very unstable with no support. While running it felt as if my knees would bend way too far back. Stoped using the shoe after two attempts to avoid injuries.

ARAHI 5
I have been wearing my Hoka's on and off for the three weeks that I have owned them and I notice today that the fabric coming from the lace holes to the soles has separated from the mesh. I expected more from this brand but this is the second model that I have had this problem with in less than 30 days after receiving them.
