True 8.5. I am a fitness professional and always looking for great shoes with comfort and support. These are comfy but not so much that they can feel unbalanced (the Bondi's feel like that to me). Hoka shoes are high quality and comfort.

I'm approaching 30 years old and have had foot, ankle, and hip surgery, these are by far the best. I have pain occasionally and it's worse when I'm not in the right shoe. I have tried all the other recommended brands, but didn't like any of them. These are the perfect balance of support and are light weight. I also had issues with "runner toes" and realized my other shoes were not wide enough and did not provide enough support for my toes. I got these in a wide just to be safe, and they truly make running so comfortable. Totally worth it and never going back to the other top rated brands. I am between a 9.5 and 10, I went with a 10 and would recommend sizing up a smidge, especially if you have wider feet.

This brand/style stands out for me because of the excellent cushioning of the entire foot, including the toes, in addition to the heel. With age, our feet lose their natural plantar padding, so what felt well-cushioned when we were younger is not so good now. For many years, I wore Mizunas, which provided superb ankle stability. But now I need more even cushioning, toe to heel, of the Hoka. Thanks, Hoka!

My new Arabic 5 shoes are amazing! I love how they feel during my runs, giving me just enough support and cushion to go farther than I thought could. Sometimes I need a 7.5 in other running shoes. In Hoka I wear a size 7. Thank you!

I’m not a runner but I need shoes for walking and daily wear that have stability (I overpronate and have weak arches). After trying countless brands and types of athletic shoes that were uncomfortable and unstable and ugly, I have finally found a brand that meets my needs. Never ever stop making these! I have crappy feet that injure easily, but these help me walk long distances without pain. I wear them with my orthotics. I do wish they came in either suede or Gore-Tex so I could wear them during a Michigan winter without getting wet feet. And I wish they lasted longer than a few months; that’s all the time I get out of them before my feet start to hurt again. And finally, I wish they came in more neutral colors that went with more outfits. (Gray, brown, black — and bright red!) But I’ll wear these as long as they make them.

I have really enjoyed my Hokas so far! This is my first pair and they fit great and feel good when I'm running on the road! I normally wear a size 8 in tennis shoes but I sized half a size down in these and they fit! The Arahi 5 is a good choice for people with flat feet or if you need arch support!

The size seven wide fit me very well. I was surprised since before I had surgery I had not worn sneakers in about 15 years since they hurt my foot. My foot is swollen now recovering from major reconstructive foot surgery, and I'm able to be on my feet most of the day at work, surprisingly! Thank you for making these shoes!

My podiatrist recommended Hoka to address the issues I have with plantar fasciitis, osteoarthritis, and stress fractures. I was a bit skeptical but was pleasantly surprised. I popped my orthopedics in and was good to go all day - no break in period necessary. I’ve ordered a pair for my husband.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Hoka's. I have wide feet and these shoes are so comfortable. My only complaint on this style is I miss the little loop at the heel of the shoe that helped when putting them on.
