There were no reviews when I purchased these so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. First, they are tight. So the length and width of the shoe is correct but the top part with the buckle closure had to be on the furthest out buckle to get my foot into it. The toe piece is huge and oddly shaped compared to the standard Gizeh. The material used for the straps was really stiff. I thought these would be cute because they are platform, but I am sending them back. My feet looked huge and they were just not comfortable. I wear a 9 shoe in most everything and in Birks I wear a 39. the size was correct for me but the fit wasn't good.

My podiatrist informed me that I need to wear shoes with arch support to alleviate pain that I experience in my foot. When I asked about what I can wear for a sandal and what I can wear around the house he recommended 2 brands, Birkenstock and Ecco. I went with Birkenstock because I was a bit more familiar with the brand. I purchased the last black pair of this one and I’m glad I did. It’s super comfortable and I’ve received compliments. I like the Gizeh style and the platform on these gives it a bit of a different look.

I was so excited to get platform Birkenstocks, and I liked the birko-flor or whatever it’s called. That’s not the material used in these shoes. These vegan birks are terrible! The material feels cheaper than anything target or Walmart would use. I tried them on and knew they would be blister city. Not worth $100 in my opinion, so I returned them.

LOVE these. Incredibly comfortable and so stylish. I get compliments on them every time. Can dress them up or down. The vegan leather is also very high quality and these have held their shape since I got them 2 years ago. Getting another pair in fact right now . Highly recommend!

These took a bit to break in and are not a comfy as my other Birks. But the major issue just occured at 7 months out from purchase. One of the buckles will not tighten and stay tightened on the smallest setting. This is not typical Birkenstock quality. Maybe because they are "by Papillio"...who knows.

I love this Birkenstock becuase I love them so much. I am women' size 5. Birkenstock does not mkae this style of platform in a plain size 5. I bought the sizes listed on the website which is 5-5.5 and they are a little big for my foot but I will keep them because it not a big deal. But if they were plain size 5 they would have been perfect. They feel comfortable and cute!

As luck would have it Zappos shipped me the birkenstock Gizeh AND the papillio platform so I was able to try both. For the Papillio platform, the upper straps were tighter but after loosening the buckle were more comfortable, also the straps didn't feel cheap like some reviews mentioned they were soft and lined with fleecy material. The shoe is clunkier than the birk Gizeh due to the platform and NARROWER. I felt the platform sole was slippery and I could see turning my ankle in these if I shifted my weight to the outside of my foot. In comparison the Birkenstock (non-platform) Gizehs were music to my feet, will return the platform and keep the originals.

Not as comfortable as regular birkenstocks. Surprisingly not stable. I roll my foot regularly while I do not in other shoes.

I normally wear an 8 1/2. Bought the 39 and returned for the 38.

I absolutely love my new platform Birks. They are so comfortable and sassy. I hope to get a pair in every color. Love love love!

I am typically a size 6.5, I had to order these in a 5-5/5. These are cute, but not quite what I expected from Birk. Living in Colorado, birkenstocks are a staple here. I have multiple pairs, and thought these would be the same. These shoes don't even come in a Birk box, and don't say Birk on them. The top of the shoe is bigger than the traditional birks and these feel stiff compared to other pairs I've purchased. I do like the extra "platform" part, as I am short. Haven't worn them much, but not as happy as I have been with other shoes from Birk.

Cute shoes, love that they're vegan. Unfortunately very unforgiving fit. If you have a foot shaped exactly right they might be great. I have a slight bunion on one side and the foot bed curves up like a bowl on the sides to cradle the foot, but that means my foot doesn't fit. The post between toes is also really hard, I'd probably have added soft padding to that if I kept them. I expect Birkenstocks to be a little more flexible for variance in feet. These are not.

Fit was perfect but there wasn't enough space between strap between toes. I felt a lot of pressure. I've worn the Gizeh style many times and never had this problem. It was the first platform Gizeh I'd tried though.

The instep....TERRIBLE. I have 4 pair of Birkenstock Gizeh and love. These have a lot of pull across the instep at the end of taking a step just before my foot leaves the ground. I have no idea why.... my other Birks don't do that!

I love the new style with thicker soles. The fit is always right. I’ve been using these sandals for over 20 years. Love my Birks!

The shoe fits well, the problem I have is that the platform sole doesn't allow the shoe to bend and it makes walking a bit uncomfortable, other than that I have no issues, but I need to walk comfortably so I am returning them
