Both shoes tore open the back of my legs apart even though I got the correct size. I had to stop wearing them because they made my feet bleed

The heel collar (the tab that comes up the back of heel) is very tall and rubs the skin on back of my foot raw. Thick socks may help, but I typically wear just foot socks so these shoes aren't going to work. Size is also bigger than expected. My previous Nano's (in the same size) are some of the best shoes I've ever owned, while these are the worst.

This shoes hurt my heels even I wear thick socks. Very difficult to wear and take off because the shoes is so rigid. Uncomfortable even while walking.

Very disappointed in this shoe. Held off buying additional pairs of 9s and Xs because I expected this shoe to be similar, it is not. It feels like a flimsy heavyily cushioned running shoe. Does not feel planted or firm and the heel height is much higher than previous Nanos, would never want to squat in these. Please bring back the Nano 9, it was the perfect shoe.

After all these years of making nanos, I'm surprised this is the best they could come up with. The upper offers no support to your foot and even just walking my foot wants to slide off the sides of the sole. This is not a workout shoe and definitely not a lifting shoe. I'm a 10 in metcons, 10.5 in nano x, 10 in this was spot on.

After 5 pair of Nano's all size 9.5 that I have loved and fit perfectly, these were huge. Possibly they were marked incorrectly? But Reebok is allowing me to return after wearing them.

After less than a week of normal use (no runs, only casual wear) and these are starting to tear. This was my first pair of Reeboks and I am super disappointed

Context: I've been doing CrossFit for 9+ years, and have owned every iteration of the Nano since 2012, sometimes multiple pairs if I liked the design.
Past Favorites: Nano 2, Nano 3, Nano 4, Nano 9
Past Disappointments: Nano 5, Nano 10
Pros: They are very comfortable, offer good arch support & a wide toe box, and the design/aesthetic is my favorite in the Nano family thus-far. They are also extremely light and bouncy as you move. The heel is curved so your foot fits snugly, allowing you to comfortably wear them without tying the laces. These things make you want to wear the shoe all the time.
Cons: They simply don't perform in a Crossfit setting. The footbed is slippery when wearing athletic socks, and the mesh upper is almost too flexile and doesn't provide much stability, making for a very unstable-feeling shoe, as if your feet are going to slide through the mesh or off the side of the shoe. The increased heel drop height (old Nanos were 4mm, these are 7mm) make you feel like you're tilting forward. Lifting heavy in any capacity does not feel good in these shoes. Also the lack of a lace anchor to the tongue causes the tongue to slide to one side as you move, which also makes running/jumping/gymnastics/etc. annoying & uncomfortable. The heel is extremely stiff and digs into the achilles tendon which is also annoying during running/jumping workouts.
Overall: Just a very disappointing shoe, considering it has the potential to be the best Nano yet. Small mistakes add up to a very frustrating shoe that you want to wear but can't use. I would discourage anyone from spending money on this shoe, get the Nano 9, X, or wait for the 12. X1 missed the mark for sure, on par with the Nano 5 for the worst Nano thus far. Feels like a departure from a CrossFit shoe, but I don't think it would be functional for any kind of training except walking. This shoe feels like Reebok wanted to get away from the CrossFit training methodology but swung too far in the opposite direction. That coupled with some disappointing design flaws (tongue anchor is the big one for me) and it's a hard pas on my end.
Suggestions: Return to the 4mm Heel Drop. Attach the tongue with either a lace loop or a flexible fabric connection to the upper (I think the latter would make for a more stable fit). Reinforce the mesh over the toe box to prevent foot slippage.

Comfy shoe for gym unless you want to do a little cardio. Forget about jogging, first time wearing them on a short jog and can't wear them for at least a week with the blisters on the back of the heals

I got these to replace the nano 5s which I've been lifting in for years with no issue. At first they were great. I enjoyed the stability and the way they felt. During a squat session I noticed the heel felt funny, take the show off to find the padding for the heel rolled and created an awkward bump in the shoe. I've gone from enjoying these shoes to not wearing them in 4 squat sessions. For $130 dollars I get less out of these then $40 chucks that were purchased in 2010.

I've worn nano for 8 years. This doesn't feel or respond like any others. Too soft to squat/olympic lift and and too high & too much arch support to deadlift. Grit feels tighter in toe box than knit and rigid on achilles. If you lift heavy dont bother. Lost everything good about Nano. Essentially a glorified runner with a wide toe box that will rub your achilles.

These are the first ever Nano's that I have returned since being on the Nano Bandwagon from the Nano 6's (7's don't count and you know it). This shoe felt so cheap to put on, the booty cushioning system they used for so long, was replaced with this just harsh fabric that didn't feel good whatsoever. For the first time ever, I had to consider what socks I had to wear with them, that's something I've never had to worry about. I did a workout in them, and they just started to chaff away at my foot and making me adjust the tongue that would slide all over the place. Did I put it through a crazy ridiculous workout? Absolutely, and that's what my programming calls for sometimes. Did the shoe stand up to expectations? Upon unboxing the shoe, I knew this shoe wasn't going to par up with the prior generations and I was right. You may no longer have the CrossFit brand on the shoe but then you go and make this equally a Les Mill shoe? Nothing against Les Mill, they're amazing. Just don't make a shoe that claims can do both, they're different things. You lost sight of this and for the first time ever, I returned a pair of Nano's and I wouldn't even keep these if somebody sent me a free pair.

I thought this shoe would be at least comfortable, it has a very hard sole. Even after I put cushioned inserts in the shoe it is still too hard. There is no cushion in the sole whatsoever. It is very pricey and I have liked my Reeboks in the past and always get one size up for fit , as is what I did for this shoe and it fits about the same as the last ones. It does fit decent on heel area around my ankle, but that's about the only good thing I can say about this one.
This shoe would be a good shoe if it has some cushion in at least the heel for some comfortable shock absorbing.
Probably my last pair of Reeboks.

I wanted to love the Nano X1. I own every iteration of the Nano line, except the Nano 7, and love all of them. They have been great for anything I ever wanted to do in the gym, from plyometrics and explosive movements, to running, to lifting heavy weight while feeling secure and stable. Each iteration of the Nano has been comfortable, durable, stable, and incredibly versatile.
The Nano X1 is none of these things. While it has plenty of foam underfoot, the heel collar is aggressive, stiff, uncomfortable, and abrasive, chafing the Achilles' tendon horribly. The new knit upper feels good, until you realize it doesn't contain or hold your foot in the shoe very well at all. The high stack foam and new upper result in my foot sliding all over the place when I need it to stay locked in. On top of this, the tongue is no longer gusseted, so the tongue slides around while you wear the shoe, which is distracting. The heel to toe drop has been increased from 4mm to 7mm. Higher drops can work, as seen in the RF1 (6mm drop), but it doesn't work here. It is combined with an aggressive toe spring angle at the front of the shoe, which caused me to constantly be fighting to stay on my heels, and often launched me forward during overhead lifts, squats, wallballs, and Olympic lifting movements. I have never had this problem when using any other Nano, or when using most other shoes with varying degrees of heel to toe drop. This is the only shoe I've ever worn where I have to perpetually fight to keep my heels planted.
Overall, I didn't enjoy wearing these shoes at all. While they can be comfortable enough when you first put them on, they completely lose their appeal when you start using them and do not perform as well as other Nanos do. These do not feel like nanos. It feels like Reebok took their running shoe, made it a bit more stable, and called it a Nano.
It's hard to overstate how bad this Nano update actually is. I was so excited for this update I purchased a few pairs of these. All of them are now collecting dust on the shoe rack, and sometimes I slide them on to take out the garbage. Save your money on these. Just stock up on the Nano X or any other previous iteration. Nothing about these shoes make them a good purchase.

The shoe arrived and I was very happy with the look fit and quality. However, the overly aggressive angle of the heel cup just dug way too much into the back of my heel. I was so disappointed I had to return them. I hope Reebok learns from this in the nano 12.

Fits true to size and appears to be made well. However, you must be prepared to bleed if you don't wear socks that cover your Achilles. Terrible heel design for such an expensive shoe. They will rub you until you bleed within the first 5 minutes of any real exertion.

Disappointed by the approach and design of this shoe. This is not a Nano.
I put the shoe on and immediately took it off. The cage cut into the medial side of my feet, felt immediate discomfort. I have the most standard foot ever. Every Nano I've owned (6, 8, 9, X) has fit me perfectly. Not sure how this is an exception.
Deeply disappointed by this generation of the Nano. I will continue to wear my 8's, 9's, and X's as I wait for a drastic overhaul of the X1.
