The shoes work very well and as expected despite being a dramatic change from the Nano collection. It's lightweight but still durable and runnable yet still stable enough for heavy lifts.
However, my gripe with the shoe other than the obvious design flaw of the heel collar is how the shoe holds your foot. My foot rolls side-to-side easily due to the thin knit upper material. It very lightweight and seems promisingly durable but the thin material lacks rigidity. This is not a big deal but the dealbreaker for me is how easily my foot slips within the shoe as I walk or workout. The outsole is stable enough, but because my foot slip inside ever so slightly, but lose responsiveness if I need to cycle through reps. I can cinch down the laces to produce a more secure hold, but it still doesn't do the trick and the lack of padding in the upper and tongue begin to cause discomfort on the dorsum of my foot. However, this a personal gripe that was a dealbreaker for me and the hold in the grand scheme of the shoe's functionality does the job. If anything, the shoe would be a good recommendation for people who don't require much responsiveness out of their shoe such as novice-level Crossfit and any other cross-training athletes. It's not like my feet were slipping forward and jammed up against the front of the toe box. It's just slipping enough for me to lose the responsiveness I expected out of the shoe.
I've had an overall two-star experience with the shoe, but that doesn't mean it's not a four- or five-star shoe for anyone else. This would be a great shoe for many beginner level athletes and can definitely fit in an arsenal of more advanced athletes for workouts requiring more runnability. However, my recommendation to stay away from this shoe is the lack of quality control. I've ordered two all-black pairs, and both have had excess glue, malformed seams, and misalignment of where the TPU carrier and the outsole meet. The excess glue and malformed seams is an issue I've only seen on the all-black colorway, but the misalignment of material I've seen in multiple colors from other reviews and photos online. The hold of the shoe is a minor gripe of mine, and it comes with the design of the shoe, but for the price the lack of quality control is something I find very disappointing for shoes at this price point.

Disappointed in this shoe. Expected a better product. The tongue is not attached to anything and there loop for the shoe lace to prevent it from moving. Tonge went all the way to the side of my foot during box jumps. Laces are a little long too. I would not recommend.

Upon first opening the shoes and trying them on I could tell two things were going to be the downfall of the Nano X1: the tongue is loose from the upper, and the material the back of the heel is made out of is basically sandpaper. I gave them a solid chance and used them for about 5 days for both working out as well as regular wear, but those issues made me return them. The heel material never broke down and softened up which meant wearing these longer than about 45 minutes would make my achilleas raw (even with long socks on as well). The tongue would slide all over unless they were tied extremely tight which would then make the entire toe box collapse on itself. I was disappointed as I was very excited for these shoes, maybe if these issues are addressed I will order an updated pair. Reebok handled the return very well and will definitely buy from them again.

Got two pairs of these; in a 9 and 8 (I am a size 9). The 9's were way too big so had to drop a full size.
They look okay, they're a lot more supportive but the heel.. holy molly the heel.
The wife and I would go for a walk everyday 4-6 miles each time - I had to do a 2 mile walk (if I could make it) every other day, the rubbing on the heel was excruciating. Ended up living in flip flops when I wasn't wearing these.
Sent them back and got the 9's instead. A superior shoe.

The looks and materials are excellent but I'm so disappointed on the comfort for this pair, I have just wore them for 2 days and they're already killing my feet. Just walking with them feels pretty uncomfortable, I can't think of working out or running with them... 1st thing is the rubbing at the heel, can't even walk without hurting a lot, may even bleed... The 2nd thing is the hard TPU for stability on the side, this thing is so uncomfortable for wide feet as you're stepping on the outer side of each foot the whole day. I attached a picture of the part where it hurts.

Not as comfortable as the Nano X's and pretty bland looking. The new rigid heel is also really uncomfortable for mobility work where you sit back on your heels (yoga, ROMWOD, etc). It's a step back from the last generation of Nanos.

Ever since Nano 9 you have put this plastic piece of the sole on the inside which digs into my arch, I have no liked the Nanos since the 8s, the 8 and 6 were a legit shoe but you guy are constantly changing the shoes. Never do you leave a good thing alone. Like No Bull they stick to the same shoe and just add different colorways.

The nano x is by far a Better shoe for me and
The hype was overrated. The nano x I will continue to buy as it's perfect sometimes different and new is not better and the nano x1 is flimsy for me in the toe box and my foot does not feel secure. Overall disappointing

I have every pair of nanos and I was super excited for the x1's. I ordered a pair for me and my wife the day it was released for members. I noticed upon unboxing it looked very small. The color was astonishing. I tried them on and immediately felt it was too slim/ too small and the sole was very hard, especially in the heel. Still love the nano shoes but I was shocked how small it was. That what originally brought me to the nano was the perfect fit for my wide foot. All my nanos from the original to the 10's and10 high tops fit me perfectly size 11.5 on all them. I returned the x1's and just got the HIIT trainers. I could of tried a 12 or 12.5 but I didn't like the hard feel of the sole and heel and figured the shoe wouldn't get any wider. I noticed my pinky toes and outer foot were almost hanging off the edge of the sole, that's how slim they were. I did double check and made sure the sizes were correct. Can't wait to see the next nano!!

Overall disappointing shoe - heel is not good and has caused a blister, some of the previous models have been much better - significantly lighter though at the expense of comfort

I used the new Nano for a HIIT workout. These days we are outside on tennis courts but I also used them inside on hardwood floors. The initial impression was these shoes are great and very comfortable. Running in warm up was good. I was very happy because this was the 8th shoe I tried and things were going great. Then I hit the cardio section and it was time for burpees. I just about fell flat on my face when I went down for the first one. The shoe did not support the movement and had at least 2 inches of slippage. I thought it was a fluke but had the problem on the next one. I move to different spots and tried a different form but slippage on every one. I tried them at home in the house and the same thing. I was soooo disappointed. I thought I found the shoe of my dreams and it did not work out for me. Just to make sure I was not broken I used another brand of shoe and had no slippage.

I have been ordering Nanos from their inception! Have loved almost every one. This years looks awesome and they are light weight. But they are more NARROW than any other Nano I have ever owned. It feels like the balls of my feet are on the edges of the soul. Feel like I will roll my ankle. Disappointed. Will be returning and ordering the X's again.

As a general workout shoe, this should perform well. For those who have been buying nanos consistently for years for Crossfit, I wouldn't recommend these.
The good - These are comfortable and breathable. For movements like double unders and box jumps, they are fine. For lighter barbell loads they should perform fine as well.
The bad - The raised heel makes me want to lean forward. For lifts, I feel like I'm catching more falling forward than in previous iterations of the nano. Maybe it's a learning curve, but they didn't feel natural. The toe angle ishigher as well, which will be great for workouts with short runs in them, but for heavier loads, I don't feel as stable as I did in previous nanos.

After owning previous ten generations of Nano's, I was disappointed at how uncomfortable these were. I wore them for an hour and had to take them off to finish my workout. There is longer a rope guard, and the area where one should be appears to not have been glued down correctly.

I don't recommend this shoe for CrossFit. The heel is too spongy which is good for running but not for heavy lifts. I don't feel like my ankle is supported as much as the NanoX either. The back of the shoe angles in toward the back of the ankle and gave me horrible blisters. The X1 looks heaps nicer than the NanoX, but for CrossFit performance the NanoX is a much better all round shoe.

I have a really extensive collection of athletic shoes as they are something i wear daily, for work and for gym. These had the makings of great shoes in terms of taking everything we love about nano but staying away from the CrossFit name. The one flaw this shoe has is why I couldn't wear them and had to return them. The heel digging in was absolutely the worst. It's stuff and high and I tried different ways to see if I can get rid of it but no. It made them unwearable. Where I loved nano 9 and X, this one just could not be worn no matter how all the other stuff was great. If they can fix the heel, this shoe is a must.

Having a little Issue with the back of the Heel Rubbing!! Seems really high and Hard and causing a blister after the first day... cant wear them! Doesn't seem to be a very Functional Design. I've owned every single nano since the very first one in 2011 and never had this issue.

Delivery was delayed and i think they forgot to shipped them, until i followed up via email. They came late and the shoes looks like used having no inserts and poorly wrapped in the box. First time in the last 10 years this happened to me with Reebok.

I've owned multiple nano's over the years. Extremely durable shores, great for training. I've owned the shoes for a month and they're falling apart. I've never had shoes break down so quickly in my life. Even if they weren't garbage quality, They slide around everywhere and the heal given me multiple blisters. Way too high and rigid, cuts in the wrong spot.

Not a good training shoe when comes to squats and deadlifts even though written that is durable for them. The old nanos were so much better these are more of a running and jumping shoe.
