These are more uncomfortable than other shoes I have had. Disappointed

This would be my 5th nano, but this is the first one that I cannot wear. In an attempt to create a shoe that is equally supportive for lifting as it is for movement, you over did it on the heal. Plan on wearing bandaids and thick socks for a while. The heal area is high and stiff. My wife got blisters with her pair. I then got blisters with mine and this after just walking a couple miles. Best looking model but just won't work for my workout needs. Missed the mark for my functional fitness workouts. With modern shoes, I don't see a need for breaking anything in. I'll stick with the previous two models and then wait for the next round. I will wear for casual outings as it is a decent look. Shoes box is just right. Fit is spot on. It's just that stiff heal. Too bad.

Do NOT buy these shoes. I have been wearing Nanos since the Nano 2 (still everyone's favorite I talk to) and owned at least 10 pair. The Nano XI are awful for Crossfit. They severely chaffe my achilles heel and hurt the tendon after running as the heel cup digs into it. Multiple people at my gym have described this problem. Terrible design. I don't understand why Reebok has to take a great design and keep screwing with it until it's is something everyone can hate. Go back to the 2, it was a perfect design that everyone loved.

I love the Nano X, so I set the bar high for the X1. The Nano X1 doesn't come close to the Nano X. Cons: Removed the inner boot and thicker top tongue for a cheap tongue that slides around Heel feels stiffer than the X Toe box is definitely more narrow Materials feel cheaper Pros: Looks GREAT GREAT color scheme The big no-go for me is that they removed the inner boot and just replaced it with a thin, cheap tongue. Very disappointing. Ive been wearing these for a week without any serious workouts and the insole print has worn off and the tongue just won't stay in place. For wider feet, these are definitely more narrow. I feel like this shoe came before the X and the X was the upgrade. Big letdown.

I had high hopes for these shoes. They literally destroyed my heals and caused blisters. I gave it time to heal then tried wearing them with thick runners socks and still blisters. I feel that they are a little big in the front as my toes can slide around in them a little. The back just creates friction and causes blisters.

I've always been a Nano buyer, but after wearing these X1's they have worn a blister onto the heel. The heel tongue is very stiff and taller than the other models. Shoe does feel less stable than the 9's. My worst Nano experience to date

Pro: Got the greenish Grit, actually really like the overall design & look. So much lighter than the X. Though the toe box tapers to more of a point than say the 9, it feels wide, although I worry about some toes rubbing up against the edge where it tapers. Con: This shoe just feels weird. On the left medial side, I can feel a bump (maybe the cage) that I don't feel on the right medial side...maybe it's just a bum pair I got? But even apart from that, when I walk I get propelled forward, but also inward toward the fronts of the shoes. I know this model is supposed to be more like a running shoe with the shape & drop, but not even my Reebok running shoes feel that weird & unstable.

For a training shoe, there is very little support around the ball of the foot, and coupled with the flat soul shape, there's nothing stopping your little toe simply rolling off to the side. Tightening the laces up to counteract this has it's own perils, as the edges of the tongue are not bolstered in anyway and continually roll in on itself, leaving a very firm roll of itchy fabric being pushed into the bones of your upper foot. Shoes are true to size and ankle support is solid, just don't expect this shoe to help you distribute weight across your foot

Good for walking but not much of an athletic shoe. Too loose

Would be perfect except for the heel backing. It's too high and points inward onto the achilles, causing painful bleeding, very quickly. I have seen many reviews commenting the same so hopefully Reebok fixes.

I bought a pair of X1 Nanos in January and with less than 2 months of use they are already falling apart. I am really disappointed about the quality of the product. Besides being very comfortable during the workouts, it should have a better quality and durability.

I absolutely loved the design and color both online and in-person. Unfortunately, these shoes are fairly uncomfortable. The sole cushion doesn't go all the way through and so it feels great under your heels but not so much under your toes. I ended up returning this pair.

I cannot find Nano model shoes on any shelves, which makes sizing very difficult. Nano sizing has changed, which made the process even more difficult. Ordering and exchange process is easy, but takes way to long. I have been a huge fan of the Nano, even with the price, the durability and confidence with these shoes are worth every penny, just don't expect an overnight miracle in getting a new pair, and don't expect to find in a local store either. Enjoy the shoe beyond belief, but less impressed with online service I'm limited to. Hope to get my exchange complete this week, but not holding my breath. This is week 3 of waiting since I originally decided to replace my old Nanos. Hope these last 3 years like the last pair once they finally get here.

But for the tall angled-in heal backing that caused bleeding/open wound, this would be THE perfect shoe. I can't use. This is the Nano X1 Grit. I don't know if a similar issue exists with the non-Grit X1. Reebok, I hope you are listening to the many reviews on different sites that point this out. Lower the heal backing and it's the best shoe you've put out yet and I've been buying Reeboks since the 80s.

The heel lip digs in to your achilles tendon. After a 1 hour work I had wounds on the back of both achilles.

I've religiously worn Nano's in the past and was excited to get these. When they arrived I threw them on and took my dog on a quick walk around the block. Within minutes, I was bleeding in my heel area from the shoe digging into the skin. I was shocked at this because the last few Nano's have been super comfy. This was definitely a disappointing addition to the Nano family.

The heel of each shoe came away within 3 weeks, along with at the back of the shoe "nano x1" also falling off

I went back to Reebok because of the Nano X and I really liked it. I decided to try the X1figuring it would be an upgraded Nano X, but it is NOT. The X1 feels very "cheap" and the padding around the heal is not like the Nano X. I immediately sent the X1 back and ordered another pair of the X.

My normal size was too small and a size up was too big. The toe box is oddly roomy and the shoe overall is stiff and clunky. These were returned.

Just received the X1 Grit and my first impressions looks wise was: wow they look skinny. I put them on and they are at least 1/2 size too small. I have owned the Nano 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 (worst nano ever), and X. I am size 11 in all of them but this one. The good: I actually think if the forefoot was wider like the X it would be one of the best looking Nano's. I like the shoe's where the laces fit the foot wide when laced up, not close together. This Nano has that. So the lacing system looks better than the X. This shoe looks clean. Simple. Love the way it looks. The bad: The width (too skinny) and stack height of the shoe make this shoe horrible. Remember when Reebok tried to make the 7 super stiff and more like a lifter? They tried to make this shoe a lifter. My fav Nanos are the X & 6. I'll be returning these and getting another pair of the X. I really like all black. Wish the X came in all black.

Disappointed in this shoe. Expected a better product. The tongue is not attached to anything and there loop for the shoe lace to prevent it from moving. Tonge went all the way to the side of my foot during box jumps. Laces are a little long too. I would not recommend.
