Too tight around the heel.

I've worn the Gel Excite for several years with no issues. This new style is horrible. VERy narrow. The arch support is TOO high and stiff and hits my arches in a way that leaves me in agony in short time. The toe box is way more narrow. The laces are very short. And what the heck is with that horrid spray paint "fade" on the sole. SO unattractive !! Terribly disappointed in this years Gel Excite 8 !! Sent them back... no thanks

These shoes were very tight right above the toes. Not very comfortable.

I can’t remember the last time I had to break in athletic shoes. I wore them for a 2 mile walk, and had blisters. I also don’t like Asics’ lining - it always catches on my socks and pull them too tight. I am not a no sock person. Sadly, I think I, done with ASICS. ?

Great shoe. Got 2 different colors. Comfortable affordable. But cheaply made. I average 60-70 miles a week and my shoes usually last about 4-6 months until I change them. These barely lasted 2 before the mesh separated from the sole.

I have always worn a 9 in Asics shoes and these were so tight I couldn't get them on. Returned them. I ordered the Asics GEL Quantum 180 in 9 and they fit perfectly! Crazy.

The Gel Excite 6 is my favorite shoe ever! I don't know why Asics messes with perfection. This model seems narrower and longer. The toe box especially, felt tight. Not comfortable at all. I am so disappointed!

I wanted to like these, but they are way too narrow. When I work out on the elliptical, my toes and the front sides of my feet go totally numb! I have blisters on my pinky toes. Unfortunately, I can’t return because I wore these for a week and a half trying to figure out if I like them. If you have wide feet and plantar fasciitis, steer clear!

Great shoe except the left shoe is higher than the right. This is the same across multiple pair, 2 from Zappos and 2 at physical store Dicks Sporting Goods. Too bad, otherwise good fit, good cusheon.

Very small and narrow.

I ordered gel excite 8 b/c I was wearing the 7 series. They are rigid, the arch is different and somehow the top of my foot hurts when I wear them. (and it isn’t b/c I tie them too tight). I didn’t return them b/c I thought I just needed to wear them a few times. Dumb idea. I’ve only worn ASICS for over 10 years. First review. Awful. Awful. Shoe for me.

I love the gel venture trail version shoe, so much i bought multiple pairs! So I wanted a road shoe and tried these but every time I wear them my feet cramp! So much I have to take them off. I’ve tried multiple times to wear these and the same feeling each time.

I ordered this to help with my feet rolling outward when exercising, and I ordered a wide. The width was the same as my other 'medium' shoes. And the laces were very short.

Th shoes were used and dirty!!! I returned them immediately and didn't think of sending a picture. If it happens again I definitely will!

I loved Gel-Excite 7. This is my second time trying 8. The first pair was much tighter and just felt uncomfortable to walk around in. I thought it was a fluke so I tried again. This pair is worse. The quality and fit has changed, and not for the better. These shoes are going straight in the trash. I am done with this brand.

I have extremely narrow feet, and these are still tight for me. I have no idea what happened but I’ll be returning these.

Could hardly get my foot into the shoe. Looked at the box and size of the shoe because I thought it was the wrong size. Holy cow, this shoe was very small. Sent back. I wear size 10, always upsize in athletic shoes. This shoe felt like size 9, not 11.

I have always been an Asics lover, but something is not right with this shoe. I ordered my usual size and I could barely get my foot in these.

The material was okay but the shoe is not my size
