Heavier athletes!!! Decent shoe, it does what it?s advertised to do, however if you?re above 6?2 235 like I am and run distance and springs regularly, this shoe does not provide the support needed, my knee pain has gotten worse and so has my shin pain. So far I loved the brooks adrenaline, they offered great support. These shoes are perfect for speed workouts, but anything over a half mile, and personally, I didn?t enjoy them as well as I did other brooks shoes.

These shoes are colorful & fun but they cut into my lateral ankle. I kept them anyway hoping they will soften there eventually.

Not a fan of the Launch 8, it definitely feels like a downgrade from the previous versions. The materials on the upper part feel stiff and of lower quality than previous models I've owned. I've had a pair of Launch 5 and Launch 6, but of which were much more comfortable than the Launch 8. I'm disappointed with the fit comfort and quality of the Launch 8.

The banana-themed design instantly drew me into these sneakers, but the fit ended up forcing me to return them. As a running sneaker they did not feel secure enough and I felt as though my heel was moving around too much due to back of the sneaker being too open.

These shoes are comfortable. I switched to these from the Ghosts that I used to wear because the Ghosts started hurting my feet in the metatarsal region. I loved Ghosts for a while, but I just can't wear those super high drop shoes for running anymore. I got the Launch 8 mainly to go for a lower drop, and I love the USA colorway. Pros: - Comfortable - Look great Cons: - The rubber has noticeable wear after only 150 miles - To channel another buyer's comment, the upper is quite sloppy. In this pair, I have to use the runner loops at the top because I keep feeling my heels slipping - The shoelaces are not the right laces for the shoe. They're flat, which is fine, but they're very thin compared to the upper material, which is more padded, when when you go to tie them, you've really gotta buckle them down well. - The tongue. It has nice padding, but it crinkles when you tie them, which creates a point of contention in the upper arch of my foot. Overall, I did run a 5K in this and ran start to finish without stopping, and did not sustain an injury. They seem to be wearing down rapidly on the sole.

Replaced Brooks Ravenna 10 with these and somehow the size is about 3/4 smaller than it's predacessor. And a lot less comfortable. I am also not a fan of the changed back heel/part you grab from the Ravennas - this new one is a lot stiffer and rubs against the back from your foot/leg.
I went from my favorite pair of shoes (the Ravennas) in 20+ years, to a disappointing replacement by Brooks. I guess I am moving on from Brooks completely now, since the Ghost 14 also runs a lot smaller than marked. (I tried those before these and also sent those back)
I'd also recommend:
Not sure now, but not Brooks with newer smaller shoe lines.

I got these to replace my Brooks Pure Cadence 5s. I’m not at all a regular runner I run when I need to get into shape for work. These Launch 8s are comfortable and light weight. There seems to be plenty of support in the heel/arch for a softer run. My only gripe is the laces feel chintzy. The laces on my old brooks had this nice 3D-ish design and were supple. The laces on the Launch 8 are cheap thin flat laces. Small gripe I know.

My last 8 pair of Brooks have been different variations of the Ghost. I thought I would try the Launch 8. I found that it was slightly larger than the Ghost and the material in the toe box was very soft. I'm 69 yrs. old and walk 140-150 miles per month, so these will not work for me. Returning them and will wait for better color schemes of the Ghost 14 or the new 15!

Bought these recently for walking our dog. I've been wearing Glycerine 19 and Catamount for street and trail running and really love those shoes. Though the fit is good, the Launch 8 seem to lack structure, even with my custom orthotics. I have narrow and sensitive feet and can't imagine running in these shoes.

I had high hopes for this shoes. Sadly they were dashed when I had them on. The heel in the left one was already blown out.

I don?t have much time in them yet due to the fact that they are so narrow compared to previous editions.

These are a nice shoe, but for me they just didn't work. I have worn 8 pairs of the Launch 6 and was disappointed these just did not fit the same. Quality is great, but the fit compared to the 6 is just different.

The two shoes have very different feel in the heels. One fits strangely on the heel and gives the feeling like the shoe could slip off.

Looks good. Feels okay. But been with this model for several years and this pair does not offer the arch support the earlier shoe provided. Disappointed.

The tongue of the shoe doesn't stay centered, which is very annoying. Overall, I found the shoe to be very uncomfortable.

I like a snug fit with my running shoes. These launch 8 shoes are comfortable but run wide at the front.

I used to wear brooks shoes strictly for work, but over the last couple of years I have accumulated work, fun, exercise, and just around the house kickers. These were the first ones that actually hurt the heal of my foot. I wore them only a couple hours for a break in and everything seemed ok. When I wore them at work I noticed discomfort so I took them out of my shoe rotation. After a couple of weeks, I tried them again and same result and only in the left shoe. Its sad because I love the design of the shoe, it just kills my foot to wear them.

I have heard so many great things about Brooks so I finally broke down and bought a pair. Definitely not comfortable as expected. Not enough cushion so the bottom of my feet hurt. I am still hearing good things about Brooks so maybe it?s just my weird feet.

I have High Arches. This is one of the most uncomfortable shoes I've worn. I returned shoes. It hurt the top of my foot. They have a tight toe box

I've owned various models of the Launch over the past 5 years, and it has been my go-to shoe when I'm trying to go faster such as track workouts and races up to a half marathon. Unfortunately with the latest revision, the toe box is smaller and now I get a black toenail on my long toe after running in the Launch 8. Sad to see they made the toebox smaller just to save money on materials

Not that good. Too spongy on soles and heels and no lateral support or stability whatsoever. Disappointed!
