Brooks must bring back, Glycerin 17 technology … That series was the softest cushion - brilliant technology. However, Glycerin 18 sported a harder cushion and the new Glycerin 19… Well, what can I say… Not a fan! They may have “added cushion” but it’s hard as a rock so I will be returning it. So, basically, “no thank you”

I?ve only had my Glycerin 19s for a couple of weeks, but they really seem to provide a soft landing with every step. My 56 year old hips and ankles feel much better since I laced up those Glycerins. I run on both the street and a treadmill. The fit seems to run on the smaller side, but I would rather the shoes be a little tight than have my feet slide around in the shoe during a run.

So far it's like walking on a cloud. Great for distance walking and just daily wear. Don't know why I waited so long to get new shoes. Especially these. So good I just got a second pair so I can alternate them.

This shoe feels really nice for its purpose. The weight is slightly higher than I enjoy but that about the only con. I do realize controlling weight in max cushion shoes is a challenge. I would have rated 5 stars if it was an 1.5 ounces lighter. That said I highly recommend. The outsole has great grip on both wet and dry roads. Lots of tread for long miles and usage. The outsole doesn?t feel like it inhibits foot movement. The midsole is on the firmer side of max cushioned shoes. I prefer that to a sponge that has no response. The midsole starts off firm but softens as you might expect as it breaks in. As I?ve put in the miles you can feel the midsole absorbing the road and my footstrike. On long runs I find it easy to pick up the pace if I choose to but with the understanding that this is not a speed shoe and the weight will effect your ability to sustain speed due to its weight. In the end you don?t buy his shoe for that reason so it?s a non issue. The upper breathes really well. The mesh upper flexes with your natural foot movement in combination with the laces keeps your foot secure with the shoes insole. I did not feel any tightness in any areas of my foot. I did buy .5 size up as I don?t like my long run/recovery run shoes to be too tight. I do find that the shoe is true to size leaning towards slightly small. I tried it on in medium thick running socks. If I wore a thin sock I could have gone with my normal size but I change my socks thickness with how my feet are feeling on the day. Also because the sole will get broken and the upper will stretch the shoe will naturally get more roomy The heel counter is well suited for this shoes purpose. It?s definitely there but not so rigid that it will cause heel pain. I don?t normally like shoes that have a super rigid heel. The runners knot will help of it?s too loose for you. I highly recommend.

The Glycerin is next level in the running shoe world. Perfectly balanced cushioning and responsiveness. A pure runners shoe. It should be called nitro-glycerin

My husband is very happy with his shoes. He says he can tell the difference between his previous shoes and the new ones. Previous ones are also brooks but few months old. He is an avid walker. I have ordered Glycerin 19 for Women for myself now.

Been running in the Glycerin 18's for 6 months and they are amazing. The shoe fit's like a glove and provides plenty of cushion to keep me on the move. I'll definitely purchase the 19's soon. Great job Brooks!

Wow...I liked the Ghost 13, however the Glycerin 19 is amazing! I?m 64 so having the extra cushion is indeed a game changer for my feet and knees. I have a pair for running and a pair for knock around. Great job Brooks!

Retired the new balance 1080v10 for the Brooks Glycerin 19. These are super soft and comfortable and am looking forward to many long miles in them. Just got to the 70km mark from three runs in them. They are snug, but they just lack fun. However, Come on Brooks! Bring some bounce into these shoes. They are just plain boring to run in. It just needs more midsole along the front to enable better fore-foot striking fun.

I have been buying Brooks for years, and this is the the worst pair I have received. I never had issue with heel rubbing or the bridge of the shoe until now. I use my Glycerin 17s instead of these, and now debate on a different show altogether.

Love, Love, Love this shoe. This is my 4 generation of this shoe and I cannot say enough about the cushion and longevity (both running and wear and tear) theses shoes deliver. Each year I'm able to get 475 to 500 miles out of these shoes. These work well for my long runs and equally as well for shorter speed work. Only shoe I need!

Very comfortable. Purchased same size as previous Gylcerin 18 and these felt slightly snugger out of the box, but after 2 days on the trail they are MONEY!

Very soft to wear when standing all day or long walks but not what I wanted to run with. Going back to the Ghost for my runs.

Best glycerin ever. I never really ?loved? previous iterations as I was a NB 1080 loyalist. I saw the new glycerin 19 and really liked the new look. So, I bought them. Put them on and showed the NB 1080 the trash can. These shoes are the best Brooks have released. I have very finicky feet and these are my new go-to shoes for everything. I may have to wear the all blacks with my dress clothes.

Great update. This is the softest Glycerin by far. They completely changed the midsole this year. The cushion feels more like a Hoka than a Brooks. The toe box is wider than the last model and the material is softer and stretches more. True to size, if this is your first Brooks, I suggest buying your larger size if you're in between.

I?d like to start out by saying that I received these shoes for free in exchange for my completely honest opinion. I?m not a professional runner, or professional anything for that matter, but after putting some good miles on these shoes I can honestly say I think they are great and unless something changes...will be my next marathon shoes! The toe box is very roomy without being loose around my foot, the ankle support hugs your ankle without rubbing, the bottom cushioning feels very soft, but not too soft like previous models. I?m on the verge of saying I can almost swear I?m feeling some energy return during my run this morning. I ran 8 miles but felt like I easily could have kept going. Lastly, previous models of the glycerin have always felt ?heavy? to me, that is not the case with these Glycerin 19?s...they feel as light as the Brooks Launch series, but still maintain that pillow/cloud hugging and supporting my feet feeling you only get from Glycerins. These are supportive and cushy enough for long runs, but also light enough and responsive enough for shorter/faster runs.

Well, this is different, but I think in a good way, perhaps maybe not to true Glycerin loyalists.?..The raised heel definitely gives v.19 a different ride, with a noticeably forced forefoot downward motion off the health, but still maintaining the responsiveness and increased cushion (and lightness) we?ve become accustomed to. Will take a bit of an adjustment compared to older versions, but definitely a stride in the right direction...Thanks
