these are the most comfortable shoes i have had, i use them for hiking and jogging on local mountain trails, traction is great, these shoes transition from dirt to rocks with ease, the only problem i have encountered is getting the laces to stay tied and thats cured with a double knot. great shoes!

I am long time road runner who loves Brooks. I decided to try trail running. As I started training for my first trail race, I read lots of reviews and decided to try the Divide 2. The cost was reasonable. I was super pleased with my first trail training run. The shoe was comfy and responsive. I felt like I had good support and it was not clunky like I feared. It felt like I was running in a supportive road shoe. I look forward to my race.

These are comfortable shoes for flat road and trail. They have room in the toe box but also work for a narrow mid foot.

I am pleasantly surprised and how amazing these shoes are. I have put on about 100 miles in the last few weeks; about 3/4 of that on the steep, rocky trails in the nearby hills and the rest on the road. I had been running on pureconnect which were not great on the rocks up and down hill. The divide 2 have enough of the locked-in feeling once you get them broken in. I really appreciate the rock plate - it has made my rock running so much more enjoyable. They are not light, so don?t think you will race in them, but they are amazing for training.

I've put about 50 miles in these so far and they have been great. The rock plate works really good for gravel roads and they provided the perfect amount of grip on my local trails that includes some steep, albeit short hills. I had no problem transitioning into these from my Nike road shoes.

Other Brooks I have purchased felt comfortable right from the get go. This pair is taking some time to get comfy. Maybe it?s because they?re trail shoes and have a stiffer sole. Not as cushioned as I thought they would be. I think they will be fine after a few more outings.

The outer sole seems a bit soft for trails. Very comfortable but, I don't see them lasting too long with the soft sole, that is why I switched to these from the Ghost after many years.

A bit tight fit for the fit and a bit more padding understanding a that a firm footbed is necessary

I brought these to replace my casadia 15 EE. I'm a plumber and use them for work as prescribed by my doctor. They are adequate but,not as good as the discontinued casadia 15.

They fit well. I run all rugged trails and have bad knees so the chushion and wide toe box are good. Much better than the Cascadia 16 recently purchased. I think the Cascadia 14 was best (less rubber) and the 15 was OK. I only bought the Divide 2 because the Cascadia 16 was so inferior to prior models. I like the lacing loops. Like the Cascadia 14 which was the best!

Great grip, the tread does not give. Soft and overall comfortable off-road and climbing shoes. A little loose fitting around heel.

Shoe is very comfortable, and well made, which you can expect from Brooks products. There is more heel rise than I was expecting, as my last purchase was the Catamount (great shoe!), which is far more stable and ready for the rigors of Maine trail running and northeast trails in general. The Divide is a nice ?go between? shoe for road runners venturing off tar, but I am giving the shoe 4/5 stars as I think it could take some further development in trail worthy materials and style.

I wear my Divides daily to walk my private gravel road and on trails through my wooded acreage. Divide 2 fits and performs almost identically to Divide 1. The best feature is the design of the sole which provides very good traction, both wet and dry, yet does not pick up gravel, small stones, or mud clods. Hope Brooks never changes this sole! I did strongly prefer the colors and appearance of the Divide 1 which was more blue than gray, and a more pleasing blue. The Divide 2 is mostly light gray and charcoal with very little blue. Divide 2 seems to have a little more rubber reinforcement at the front of the toe box. Divide 1 has worn extremely well and are still in use after nearly 1000 miles. I expect Divide 2 to perform the same as the msterials and design are largely unchanged.

Great price, speed, fit, and cushion. Only recommendation is replace the feel of the tongue which feels like this is where the cost savings originated.
