DO NOT ORDER THE KNIT VERSION OF THESE SHOES! This is my third pair of Nimbus but my first pair where I went with the Knit Top version. The “collar” of the shoe is horribly designed. The lip of the collar is extremely tight and sharp and digs into your ankles. Worst of all there is a hard, stiff tab that is like a knife on the heel of the shoes that dug into my Achilles so badly that they were bleeding after literally a half mile of running. I do not have fat ankles or anything like that. I’m 140 lbs and a regular runner, these are the only shoes that have ever done this to me and I’ve owned knit top shoes from Nike and Adidas that were never this uncomfortable. I took them off and walked home in socks and proceeded to cut the tab on the heel off with scissors. They were somewhat more comfortable after that but the collar is still way too tight and feels like your circulation is being cut off to your feet. Stick with the regular version of these shoes. I love the Nimbus and will continue to buy the regular version but I had to warn others before they bought these.

Do not buy. The shoes bit into my ankles due to the thin material that rides high in the rear of the shoe. After a mile it feels you will feel the bite and after a few miles you will be a bloody mess and walking home in your socks.

The Gel-Nimbus Knit is a beautiful shoe, but when you're a size 16 and there's no tongue, it's really really hard to get on. And, for that reason alone, I had to send it back. It's really comfortable, and I'm sure that if you have a smaller size foot, you will love the fit and support and looks of this model!

Not satisfied with the durability of these shoes. I’ve been rehabbing a plantar fascia rupture, so I have not been running. All of the work in these shoes is walking the dog along the sidewalk in my neighborhood or the carpet in the physical therapy center. On the outside edge of both shoes the “tread” is coming unglued in line with the flex point of the shoes. Could be better crafted for only 200 miles of walking under 3.3 mph and about 16 hours of rehab. Purchased may 2012, began to separate in early august 2012. The loose pieces get caught on carpet, stairs, and other materials, which can disrupt my balance. I loved my last pair of gel nimbus, but the 23’s didn’t perform the same. The tongue mesh is a nice change.
