While this fabric is very comfortable and soft it is very stretchy and allows the "DDs" to bounce ALOT while walking and jogging. The bottom does not sit on the rib cage correctly. It simply does not offer enough support. The appearance of this bra is nice but not practical for contolling the "bounce" in everyday life. I wish Brooks could bring Maia back. My sales lady tells me there is "no way" so I will have to look for the best bra for me somewhere else after over 5 years of purchasing and enjoying Maia.

PLEASE bring back the Maia bra. This doesn't even compare. I have worn the Maia bra since before it was Brooks, was Moving Comfort. It was perfect for large breasted heavy impact support. This bra has way less support, my boobs bounce like crazy and it pushes them together like typical sports bra uniboob. The material stretches out immediately and the straps don't stay adjusted. Can basically just use this for walking. No support.

Bottom does not sit on the rib cage correctly. 2 straps on the back are terrible. I have bought all the styles that are close to the maia. They all are terrible and not anywhere close to what the maia is. Please bring back the Maia. listen to your customers.

I dislike this bra so much that I am reviewing a piece of clothing for the first time. The hook in the back has come loose numerous times, even while I am wearing the bra. The fabric is like a kind of rubber, it doesn't feel good on my skin. There are no size markings on the bra in case I liked it and wanted to buy another. In fact, I dislike this one so much that I am unlikely to buy another Brooks bra in the future.

Does not keep me in place. And my back chafes every time i wear it where the bra comes together to clasp.

Looked good. Had high hopes. So very disappointed. Bought two on sale. The rubbery material stretched so much during wear that I was no longer supported. The straps come loose at the most inopportune times, the cups squish the boobs together into a uniboob. And just as an added kicker, the label where it is sewn onto the bra caused abrasion and slight bleeding on my back. PLEASE BRING BACK THE MAIA!!!!!!! It did everything well: comfort, support, superior compression, wicking, held up through years of wear and washings, plus you provided great colors and patterns. The Dare underwire is an absolute FAIL! Never expected to be so disappointed in a Brooks product.

Returned it. Didn?t provide enough support. I miss the old Juno and Fiona styles and will be getting my sports bras elsewhere from now on.

I bought this in the hopes it would be a suitable replacement for the Maia. Sadly, it is not. It is a cheap, pathetic excuse for a sports bra that does not give anywhere near the comfort and support of its predecessor. Please bring back the Maia. The underwire sports bra is a niche in the market that Brooks had previously been successful at with the Maia. Now, it is failing miserably.

The super-easy-to-adjust clips on the bra don't stay attached when working out and so you'll randomly have a strap come un-done and have to stop your workout to find a place to take the whole thing off, put it back together and then put it back on. Incredibly frustrating! I would not waste your money on this one

The Brooks Maia was my go-to, not just for running and training, it was also comfortable enough to wear every day, and I had a drawer full of that style. But even the best bras don't last forever, Brooks no longer makes the Maia, so I went searching for an alternative. The Dare, in a word: FAIL!! First, this bra is NOT supportive, and worse, it pushes my boobs together. (Cleavage is ok if you're going to a party, but it's not something I want when I'm working out.) Second, while the fabric is admittedly soft, for this purpose, it's horrid - some kind of neoprene, rubbery stuff - like a wetsuit - that is also HOT. (I already sweat when I work out, thank you very much, why would I want to wear plastic wrap??) Only the cups are two-layer, as they should be, but the rest of the bra is made of a single layer of this material, with little holes punched on the sides (presumably to "breathe"?) The only remotely good thing about this bra is that it looks really cute from the front. I can't send it back, so I'm going to use it as a swimsuit top. And sadly, I'm now shopping elsewhere for sports bras. Sorry Brooks, this is goodbye. It isn't me - it's YOU. :-(

Man you guys used to make the most comfortable well structured supportive running bra for large bust (style 18) I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am in this one. Who on earth thinks that quarter inch wide elastic straps are going to support a 44F bust. Thank God I didn?t pay full price

Bought this as replacement for my Maia bras, which I have loved for years. I tried multiple sizes to find the correct fit (I'm a 36DDD). Initially it felt ok, but once I started exercising, nothing stays in place. The bra stretches, my boobs shift, and the bra straps keep coming unhooked while exercising. I have had the bra for about 6 months hoping it would somehow improve, but no luck. As the weather has gotten warmer, it's like wearing a sweat suit, it chafes, the band below rolls and it feels not much better than wearing a normal bra. Please bring back the Maia bra for us larger chested gals with heavy boobs.

Rubs while you are trying to move. And rides up. Just terrible over all. After a one hour workout I had heat spots. Just NO! Returned.

Terrible experience with this bra. Truly disappointed. I was a Maia devotee and this bra doesn't even come close to that one. There are two principal problems with this bra: First, the material is horrible. It stretches easily and does not hold its shape. I followed the online instructions for sizing and was a band size off given the amount this bra stretched. In addition to it not holding its shape, the plastic clips in the back that allow you to customize length do not stay put -- they slip as soon as you start moving, again, because of the terrible fabric. The second problem is that there is no foundational band at the bottom to hold everything up. If you take a look at the Maia, there is a strong fabric band that acts as a support to the two cups. There is no such band on this thing. As a result, the breasts don't feel fully supported + the underwire at the bottom digs in. I am currently holding on to a Maia bra that has a *broken underwire* and still using it, because I loved it so much. Sad that I have to start looking around for another brand.

As a long time runner and wearer of Moving Comfort bras, I was very disappointed with this bra. First time I wore it on a short run, it was so stretchy it was useless, even though I was wearing my standard size and it fit well when I tried it on. Then, it rubbed and chafed and hurt my skin in the center front panel, which I've never had with any bra, ever. I wish Brooks would make a safe, comfortable underwire bra. I gave no stars, because this actually hurt my skin. ok, so I couldn't leave no stars, I had to select one star, but if I could leave no stars, I would.

Bra fits true to size, seems well made, and holds everything in place. However, the underwire chafes horribly. Within a scant 2 miles of running, I had an actual abrasion in between my breasts where it was poking me. This was in cold weather with minimal sweat, too! This bra did not work at all and I had to send it back. Maybe it is my posture or a body shape difference... I dont see how anyone could be comfortable in this bra.

The material is so stretchy and after multiple wears it completely stretches out. I have had this bra for a few months now and I already need to purchase a new one because it no longer fits. I can't run in this bra anymore. I am actually back in my old faithful, the Maia bra from a few years ago. It's still holding up great compared to the Dare. I don't recommend this bra to anyone especially someone with a larger chest size.

Even though it has underwires you end up pushed together and it looks like a uniboob. I am currently a 36FF and the straps continue to loosen up all the way. For my girls the back band is not wide enough.

I would not describe this bra as ?run-ready? unless support is not an issue with your body. I do like the fabric but other than that, the bra did not perform to the price tag expectations! If you want a bra that contains your girls without the flop, this one is NOT for you
