Want to love them, but could be better. I got them to try since I had heard good things about them not riding up. They were great about it the first few washes, but now ride up a lot more. I bought these in late July & after a cold winter & pretty light usage, they have a hole in the side seam already. They are super comfy, but I couldn?t see paying full price for multiple pairs. Worth trying, but catch them on sale.

Comfortable enough on first try on (purchased size L), but for me as a woman with thicker thighs, the fabric was riding up as I ran. Ended up exchanging for the 7" chasers.

Comfortable and lightweight but immediately started riding up during my run. Definitely not for larger thighs and running but great for walking on a hot day.

These would be so great except the waistband is overly thick and hot compared to the rest of the fabric. The leg sorta parts are super lightweight and don't have that annoying "tulip" shape that all other womens running shorts have so I like that but the heavy fabric of the waist keep these from being the ultralight hot weather item I wanted these to be.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
They were cute but not for running. I have thick thighs and a big booty and they rode up just when I walked. Maybe a longer length would work but sadly I returned

I bought these for my sister as a gift because they looked like the perfect shorts. She absolutely loves the weight, fabric, and fit. However, the rear pocket does not hold a phone securely which is crucial. She chose to wear them to compete in a 1/2 marathon this weekend but had to hold her phone in her hand for the duration of the race which is a drag in this day and age. Hoping this design feature can be addressed for the future and they will be the perfect shorts in her opinion!

Wanted to love these but anything shorter than the 7? rides up my thighs to an uncomfortable level. The material is great, light and breathable. I wear these around the house but not for running.

I love the fabric and the new higher rise on these, but I strongly prefer the old split short style leg that Chasers had back in 2019. The old style is my go-to marathon short for my bigger thighs. These legs fit a bit tighter than the old style which I don't love.

I love the short but it looks like a skirt when you put it in. I was looking for a regular running short.

I love that they don't ride up, but if you have thick thighs, they'll be skin tight. I typically wear a size 14, so I went with an XL originally and they fit great in the legs, but the waist was way too big. I returned and bought a large and now the legs are so tight and the waist fits just right. Kind of annoying because I had really high hopes for these.

Nice length that isn?t too short or too matronly but still rides up with active running. Wouldn?t buy for running unless you have major thigh gap.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I like how these shorts look and feel for daily walking. Super light weight, comfortable and nice looking. Then I went to go for a walk and realized there are no pockets. Can't do without pockets. I like the Chaser 2-in-1 for all that, plus pockets.

Sizing seams off. Ordered a medium, fit in the waist, but way too tight in the legs. Tried a large on at a local retailer and the legs fit perfect, but the waist was way to big. Love a 5 inch inseam and wanted these to work, but they?re just not for me.

Unfortunately, these shorts rode up in the front for me. They were also a bit tight on my thighs, despite ordering my usual size. They are nice quality and I liked the various pockets.

I wanted to love these but they rode up in front - a no-go for me. Otherwise they were comfortable, nice fabric, breathable. A hair tight around the thighs (I prefer looser in this kind of short). I tried out two sizes and both rode up.

I had such high hopes for these as a thick thighed woman. Alas, not to be. They immediately rode up in the inner thigh. However, I did get the 7" and they work much better. I could do a smaller waist, but then they'd be too tight on my legs.

Typically wear 7? chasers but thought I would try 5?. They are ok but will stick with 7?, like the side pockets on 7?. Also the extra 2? coverage is ideal for me.

Love the material and fit. Very comfortable. However, the shirts ride up my thighs during a treadmill workout. Love Brooks products overall!

Quality seems fine, but the size charts are incorrect. Based on the size charts I should fit a Medium, but the Medium I ordered is baggy, loose, and uncomfortable. I'm sending it back but am worried about getting a Small since the sizing charts are incorrect.

I love the material and length, but is more fitted than I like. Also a little bummed that, with thick thighs, the shorts are gobbled by my thighs. ?

These are very comfortable shorts but they did not work well for my running, they ride up terribly on me but I do love them for everyday casual wear.

I really wanted these to work but the thighs are just too small in comparison to the waist. In a medium the waist is too big and in a small the thighs are too small. Too bad because I liked the design.

Ultimately I returned these and purchased the 7" chaser shorts. i was really excited to try these based on some recommendations. I hate the dreaded "thigh gobbling" that happens with so many shorts, and unfortunately the 5" shorts did not spare me from this Chafe-tastrophe. However, I was super impressed with their design and the fabric that I was willing to return them for the 7" which did not disappoint! For reference I am 5"5, 160lbs, and love to run distances between 3 miles to half marathons. These started creeping up the legs pretty early in my run (thank goodness for body glide), probably within the first 1/2 mile. I loved the little waist band pockets which normally I find useless, however one has a key loop (bonus!) and the other was big enough for my tiny glide stick. The back pocket fit my iphone 12 (standard size, not pro, not mini). I don't think it would fit the pro size iphone tho. The fabric was really nice to feel, thin but durable. It has nice little vents in the back and the lining was comfortable without the need for underwear.
