Cute, but my thighs ATE them. Im 160, 58 and very athletic build, they are cute and a great fabric but definitely not for me in terms of bunching and chafing. Returning because I dont see myself in a situation where I would wear these and be ok with them riding up so much.

The shorts have just enough pockets for a phone, keys and my lip gloss. So I can keep my hands free.

I love these shorts but was so disappointed that they no longer make them with pockets!! Would rate them a 5 if they had pockets.

Love these shorts because they feel like butter and are so lightweight. The 5 version is just the right amount of coverage and the waistband feels perfect. You barely notice you are wearing them. My phone doesnt fit in their back pocket so I carry that in my water bag. Im not sure the shorts would stay up if I did put my phone there. The shorts have two small pockets in the front for a gel and a key fob/house key/another gel. I definitely recommend these shortsso comfortable!

I USED to love these shorts. I am a fitness instructor and I am in shorts all the time. I changed to these shorts from lululemon and athleta because the chasers were SO PERFECT. This last seasons shorts have definitely changed. The waist is a bit smaller and the elastic in the liner around the legs is too snug. Please bring back the old shorts.

The phone pocket is too small. Otherwise the shorts have a nice fit and feel.

Wide waistband and 5 length make the Chaser a go-to short. Only wish there were more colors!

Really comfy, lightweight shorts. I took them on a hot, humid 4 mile run and completely forgot about them because they were so comfy. Love that the inseam isnt crazy short. Its hard to find lightweight shorts that have decent coverage like these.

I love these shorts! They are light and comfortable with a wide, soft waistband that doesn't pinch or bind. Soft fabric that wears well. These are my favorite shorts for all my workouts.

These are my favorite new shorts! I just bought them and have worn them twice already. I absolutely love them! They have a nice comfortable waistband and run slightly longer than most running shorts. I am 58, 56 and weight 128. I got a small and they fit just right.

Super comfy and light weight. My go-to running shorts. Spoiled now and wont wear anything else!

These had the potential to be really great shorts - but before I could wear them on a run, they ripped! I was wearing these around the house to do a light test on if they could handle the thigh rub, and within 30 min one of the seams had split. Fabric seems to be very flimsy, which is disappointing as they're the perfect running length for me

Fit is perfect, XS, 5'4" 108 LBS, the length is perfect too, I wear longer running shorts, and the 5" is great for an old gal! I wish the phone pocket was a little bigger/easier to maneuver. I ended up not using it. I really wish running shorts had a front phone pocket. Thanks!!

Doesn't ride up and stretchy.

I LOOOVE these shorts. Im 510 (145) and bought a medium. There is one smaller bucket in the back for gels and MAYBE a cell phone (havent tried yet) but they are light and dont bunch up in the middle when my thighs rub (ha!) which is nice. My only concern is when its hot and humid, I got the light blue and olive color, what will happen when Im sweating through long runs in this MN climate. We shall see. Overall would buy 5 more pairs regardless!

Greatest running shorts Ive ever had! Getting back into running after giving birth, so my body has changed a bit and its been hard finding good running shorts. But these are just super comfortable, dont pinch or squeeze or ride up!

Love the light weight material and very comfortable waist band. Short enough to run in and long enough for good coverage, so I can where them to the ball park when Im not running. Im 54 and 125 pounds and the small fits great.

I love the length and that they dont ride up as much as other shorts.

I so very much wanted to love this short. The material weight was nice and light, and kept the heat down. The waistband was comfortable. Unfortunately, there are too many design flaws to make this a comfortable short. First basic flaw is the seams on the inner leg - a small amount of effort was made to sew the serged seam allowance flat, but there was still half the material free to move and chafe the legs. Second was the lumpy seam on the inner liner. Experienced clothing manufacturers should know the best place for a seam start and stop, and it isn't where it was placed. Annoying, but not nearly as annoying as the fact that I was constantly trying to pull the hem down. My bad for trying out new shorts on a pace run. I bought two sizes and tried the too large first, and haven't decided whether I will bother trying the smaller pair. I do want to thank customer service for getting these shorts to me. The shipping company damaged the package and lost one pair of shorts, then just left the damaged package on my doorstep. Customer service had replacement shorts sent incredibly quickly! Wonderful help.

Love these shorts. So comfortable and not too short or too long. Ive bought at REI before and found more colors here. So I bought a couple more.

These running shorts dont ride up on me and it seems like all running shorts ride up on me. They are my go-to and I have them in 2 colors and will order more.

Great running shorts. Ive been wearing Chaser 5 shorts for years. I just bought a new updated pair and I was very impressed. I didnt think the Chaser could be improved, but Brooks did it! The waist band is even more comfortable than the older style and the ventilation in the back is wonderful. I run in a very hot climate so more ventilation is a must. Thanks Brooks for improving your products for us loyal Brooks runners. I definitely Run Happy in these Chaser 5 shorts.
