Love these shorts! They are definitely an improvement over the older style that I have. The zipper pocket for your phone works great. My iPhone 12 fits without a problem although anything bigger my be an issue. The waistband is very comfortable as well.

I've run for almost 7 years now and Brooks shorts are my one real constant. The new version packs in the features I HAVE to have (inner mesh liner, easy access pockets, phone pocket) with lightweight fabric that doesn't bunch or get in my way. Wicks moisture away so I don't get rubbed the wrong way [Dallas Summer running is HOT!]. The new flat waistband is ultra comfortable.

These shorts are soooo comfortable

Excellent shorts. Only worn on half a dozen runs so far, but the compression liner works perfectly!

This is the fifth pair of these I've bought, they are excellent--no chafing, plenty of pockets, excellent sweat wicking.

My own opinion but these are the best trail running shorts out there. I believe I have about 7 different pairs. The inner lining keeps things in place. The zipper pocket is large enough to fit an iPhone 14 max pro with case without being bulky. The various side pockets can hold a myriad of items (keys, gloves, headlamp) without losing any and without bouncing or feeling bulky. This is my go-to short every time

The sizing was right on. Light weight. Snug second layer. I have never owned shorts like these so would have liked to read, unless I missed this info, what uses are are for the pockets. Also, the front zippered pocket has An opening near the top towards the middle of my torso and allows access to the second layer. I am not sure whatnots for. I use the zippered pocket for my keys but have this opening in the back of my mind that the keys Might fall out through that opening.

Great quality shorts - have two pairs.

Just finished my first 25km trail race. These performed flawlessly. A piece of me died inside when I pinned my bib through them but I guess I'll remember that as a badge of actually using them. They do fit pretty big. If you wear boxer briefs I would say go with whatever size of those you wear. I originally got large but had to return them for mediums. The mediums fit perfectly. You want a tight fit to avoid chaffing based on my experience with the larger size I had to return. I would absolutely buy more of these in the future. I hope more colors, ideally a brighter color or two will come out as well. The most comfortable shorts I have worn for sure. And the icing on the cake is the pockets are great. I don't use the zipper one for my phone on runs but when I'm wearing them around the start/finish, etc. they support the phone well. The side pockets have been perfect for gels. Very easy to access. 10/10 with every way you could evaluate these.

Perfect fit, do feel it a bit short from the back waist, but fabric and feel are perfect.

Perfect fit, long liner makes them the most comfortable running shorts I've ever worn. Pockets are convenient and allow for comfortable and secure carrying of iPhone SE and Airpod case.
