While I liked the look of this water bottle, it is poorly built and not a great water bottle for kids. The inside piece comes off regularly which impacts the ability to open the spout to drink.

This thing is impossible to take apart and re-assemble. Plus, it arrived with instructions for a different model. I would give it away, but wouldn't want someone else to have the hassle. So disappointing!!

I have to twist the lid on very hard or it will leak from the side. You think it is all the way, and it leaks. Then you strain to make it tighter and all of a sudden it goes another 1/4". I like the old style better. It is also very difficult to clean the lid. Many parts to be removed to wash, then reassemble. I don't do that but will once in a while.

My husband bought the 20oz for me for
Christmas so I could take my coffee to work and be able to drink out of the same cup. I make my coffee at 5pm and by 12:30 am when I go to drink it it is lukewarm. Very upsetting.

Leaks! After drinking half my coffee the cup decided to leak. Covered my shirt in coffee in church. Wish I could return it - I'll never trust using it again! (Yes, the lid was on correctly.)

Does not keep coffee hot for longer than 4 hours. If you get rid of the packaging it came in then you can't return. Waste of money.

I've used this mug for two years and finally got fed up with it and replaced it. The mug itself is great design and keeps beverages at whatever temperature (hot or cold) for a very long time! However, the lid needs some design improvements as it is not the best for sealing. The gasket comes loose very often (see picture) and then takes some finesse and patience to see it correctly for a proper seal. And if it does seal properly, the fluid leaks out from between the upper and lower portion of the lid while drinking.

I've had it a number of months now. It has poured coffee down my chin ever since I got it. Ridiculous. Will not be doing business with hydro flask again.

We are a hydro flask family. We have spent more money on hydro flasks than I care to admit. We love our hydro flasks but this lid is the worst. After only a few thorough cleanings this lid leaks and there is no fix. We have replaced more than one and still have the same issue. It is a bummer but now we have moved to another company for travel coffee containers.

I was so excited for my hydroflask travel coffee container because I love my hydroflask water bottle, but it doesn't keep my coffee warm. I just took a 45 minute walk in 40 degrees and my coffee went from piping hot to luke warm. I'm not sure if I have a lemon, but I'm definitely underwhelmed by this product.

I have owned 3 Hydroflask 20oz coffee mugs with flip top lids. Loved everyone of them and wore them all out over time. Flip top lid was greatone handed operation, easy to cleansimple. Why do companies feel the need to change what works? And when they do, they discontinue something that wasn't broke. Hydroflaskplease listen to your customers and bring back the flip top lid!

I bought the flex sip too for my old bottle. Worst design I have ever seen!!! Who needs so many pieces for a top. I made it 1 coffee before I realized how rediculous it is. Some advice to hydro flask. Stick to the original flip top which I've used daily!!!! For 8+ years!!!! It's just a coffee lid.

I love hydroflasks, but I do not love this product and can't recommend it. It does an amazing job of keeping my coffee warm, but the lid is terrible. It's overly complicated. Despite disassembling and reassembling the lid dozens of times, it *always* leaks a substantial amount of coffee. I can't drink out of it without spilling coffee on my shirt, so I have to pour coffee into a cup, and doing so still leaks coffee on my desk/floor/wherever I pour it.

Keeps coffee hot for all of 20 mins. You're better off with a yeti! The only thing I really like about this cup is the color (fog) and the handle.

I use the 20oz tumbler and the lid constantly leaks. I'm so frustrated cause I have to take it apart multiple times each morning. I can't find another lid type for this size.

I purchased this to replace my older HydroFlask coffee tumbler because the old model lid started leaking after several years. This new one is even worse! It leaked from the very beginning. Coffee gets between the layers of the lid and drips out while drinking. It does keep the coffee hot for a while, but it's not worth it when it ends up all over my shirt.

I bought this coffee flex lid a few months ago. After a few months of use, the lid leaks when drinking. It also requires you to open and clean the inside of the lid every time you are cleaning the bottle. If you skip opening the lid to clean it, it will trap old coffee inside the flex lid. I just had to stop using the lid.

The lid leaks everywhere. Every time you open it the lower screw loosens and then leaks. Horrible design! Try to contact them and they make it impossible. Have many of their products and the 32 ounce straw cup leaks every where too. Should have know better!!@

I got this HF from one of your authorized resellers and the coffee started to taste weird, I clean my bottle or at least rinse it every day and I deep clean de sip cap (open it and clean the red rubber and everything) every week. I used a bottle cleaner tablet and it didn't helped. When I looked on the inside, I started noticing that there are some rusty stains on the "stainless steel". I tried to ask for the lifetime warranty but I can't find this product on the list, looked by sku and name and nothing!

I have used a 20oz Hydroflask coffee for years, my old lid finally gave out. The newer 20oz coffee with flex sip lid is a great bottle which keeps my coffee hot. I wish it was still shorter, but wider. I don't mind the new thinner bottle. BUT the Flex Sip Lid is terrible. Everytime upon opening the lid, with the pressure build up, I get sprayed with a fine mist of my coffee all over, typically my pants.

I went for a hike and wanted a coffee at the top of the mountain...it was not a very long hike, snake mountain in Vermont.
When I got to the top of the mountain the coffee was lukewarm....very dissatisfied.

Upon first using this flex sip lid, I was quite excited! Within a few uses the ring slipped out on its own. Upon properly cleaning and replacing the ring that is supposed to provide a seal DID THE EXACT OPPOSITE. My coffee now spills all over my chin and chest despite my proper reassembly. I've been recommending hydro flask up and down to everyone, I may have to take my business elsewhere! Extremely disappointed with this lid, bring back the old one.
