Love my tumbler but wish the lid had a flip top or slide top to prevent spills

I absolutely love this cup it keeps my coffee hot for a long time. The only problem I have is the open lid . I wish you could get a lid that closes , especially during this time.

I recieved my hydro flask last week and immediately opened it up and filled it up with lots of ice and some iced tea. I took it with me in the car, and to the track while i walked for an hour. After a few hours i opened the lid to check the ice in it and was very pleased that i has a lot left and my drink was still so nice and cold. The lid never got hot or drippy. I am very pleased with both hot and cold beverages in this hydro flask black lid!

I have been using this for almost a week now and I am amazed how it keeps my drinks cold/hot forever. I once used it for a cold soda and the ice didn't melt for 24 hours and same goes with any hot beverage. The only thing that I struggle with is the lid. It does not have a closure, so if you are taking this tumbler in a car or for a walk, your drink might come out. You can use this tumbler to sit and enjoy your drink in an office, library or at home. It is not for an outdoor adventure. But overall I am satisfied with this product since I am a full time employee and have to sit in front of the laptop for hours, this tumbe keeps me hydrated and active.

I received this hydro lid and good well in the hydro flask cup. It does not have a way to close the lid which is the only downfall. Keeps my coffee hot for about 4 hours.. kept my water cold for 6 hours. Overall don't over fill the cup as with this lid it will come out the top. Overall great to use at the office. Good press in design.

The Hydro Flask 22 oz. tumbler works really well keeping drinks ice cold for hours. The size is perfect and fits great in my cars cup holder. Easy to clean with a very nice sleek design. My only complaint would be there is no locking mechanism to avoid spills on this particular product. The outer edge is spill proof but the holes in the top lid make it easy to spill liquid when the tumbler is full. Other than that I would recommend!

Please make a lid that closes. It doesn't have to be completely leak proof, but something that actually closes would be amazing. This morning, I bent over getting into my car (forgot it was under my arm) and poured scalding coffee all down my arm, my bag, etc. Ouch. I love the mug, and that was totally my fault, but please consider a lid that closes for the morning frazzled, work bag, and kid-toting, set. :)

Love your products. Think the lid on tumbler could be greatly improved if the sipping port was about half as wide as it is. Difficult to get a sip without some spillage.

The tumbler is overall good it'll keep your drinks somewhat hot for 5 hrs & warm for 3hrs (I work out doors) but honestly the lid is killing me you would think they would have made a sliding lid to open & close. I haven't had luck finding any other lids that would fit the tumbler.

Dear Hydro Flask, please, please, please tell me you're listening to your customers and working to create a lid for your tumblers and wine and coffee cups that has a close/flip/slide top (seal) function. I would be a loyal Hydro Flask customer but for the fact that you do not offer this feature on the lid for these items. Customers have requested this before. I want to buy tumblers for my family for Christmas but sadly will go with another brand that has those lids as I think most people want the option to fully close and seal the lid to prevent spills when traveling, etc. Without a way to keep them from spilling it really limits their use. Not having this feature on a lid is a huge missed opportunity. And while you're at it, create a separate handle that can be slid onto your tumblers for people who want that option. People want choices!

Had this cup and lid for a year now. I just discovered the lid has a gasket that does come off. You should have seen the mold underneath it. I use the cup everyday and wash it. I was washing it tonight and noticed something strange coming out of the crease where I discovered a gasket. I didn't see that mentioned in the description. I thought it was all one piece. Check them.

Five stars for insulation, one star for the lid. Besides not closing, the bigger problem I have with the lid is spilling the liquid down my neck every time I try to drink. The hole is too wide and if not lined up perfectly with your mouth it spills. This is not a warranty problem as suggested by the company. It is a poor design issue.

Love the Hydro Flask brand because of how well they work! All my kids have them for sports so I got this tumbler for my husband for Christmas. He loved the tumbler but the first thing he noticed is that the lid doesn't close. Had I noticed this before ordering I wouldn't have ordered. I'm so disappointed (and surprised!) that they don't have a closeable lid for this!

I just received this awesome tumbler for Christmas! I love the style of the tumbler and the color is perfect. The lid however is a different story. It is hard to drink out of it due to the size or shape of the drinking hole. Please make a lid that closes so that it makes it easier for transporting. Thank you!

I literally spill every time I use this mug. It does keep coffee hot, or whatever is left of it.

Bought the 16oz tumbler and the lid is terrible. Reading the reviews it seems to be a LARGE problem with consumers. Maybe get your R & D dept to read the problems with the lids.I personally just purchased 2 of your top competitors tumblers and the lids actually prevent liquids from leaking. You guys are losing sales because of your crummy tops.

Love the cup but hate the lid. I saw a response from CS in one of the other reviews about going with the coffee style flasks. I have those and prefer them for coffee. I also have a lot of the 40 oz bottles. But for Daily use at home and ease of cleaning without having to pull out a brush every time I clean, I prefer the tumbler. I love the wide mouth. Love that I can stick my hands inside to clean with ease. I just hate that the lid is open like it is. I actually have to put a paper towel over it with a rubber band so dust doesn't get inside as I always have it out throughout the day. I don't think it would be too difficult for hydro flask to come up a new lid for these tumblers.

I love my Hydro Flask tumblers but wish there was enough room in the opening to accommodate a reusable straw.

They don't fit the hydroflask mugs I have and it's the second time I've ordered -- had to return the last ones you sent me.

I bought 2 of these after measuring my tumbler and they didn't fit. Now I'm stick with these lids.

Have a plainly marked 16 oz timber but sizing must have changed. First replacement lid was too small. Customer service was great. Immediately sent me a second lid. It is also too small for my tumbler.

I bought this lid for my 16oz tumbler not knowing that it does not fit it as it's the older pint style tumbler. There should be a disclaimer in the description that states that this lid doesn't not fit the older style pint tumbler.

I've had my tumbler for years and it's great. Well, it's great so long as I don't move around. The always open lid means that the slightest bump results in hot coffee spilling out the top and over the sides. I like to take cruises on my bicycle and I have a cup holder on the handlebars. The first trip to the coffee shop ended in a disaster. I had to stuff napkins in the opening to prevent hot lava from erupting from every bump in the road. I had to purchase a competitors cup with a magnetic slider to prevent eruption 2.0 :(. When a better tumbler lid option is available, I'll be first in line.

I have both the 22 oz and the 16 oz tumblers and the lid is too small for the 16oz. It is advertised to fit both.
