I typically wear a size 9 and am usually comfortable in a size 8.5 for most shoes. I got these in size 9 and they are too small. My toes bulge out over the front and the back is too tight on my heel. I was really surprised since the reviews said these are true to size or run large; that is not my experience at all. The gel bottom is really nice and cushy; these would be very comfortable if they weren't too short for my foot, so I'm disappointed that I won't be able to wear these.

The shoes fit perfectly, but when I walked around, I began to feel a pain under the right side of my left heel. So that was the problem. Also, the shoes could use a little more cushioning.

I have a high arch and these shoes were too small in the arch for me. I had to loosen the laces so the tongue was barely touching the rest of the shoe and these still felt tight. I'm returning them. I am replacing Asics Kayano's which are very comfortable for me, so the GT-2000 do not have the same fit.

This was the third pair of the Asics GT 2000 shoe. No problem with the first two. Loved the color and style. However when this shoe arrived I noticed that it was much tighter in width than my previous pairs. I thought the laces had just been laced very snuggly. However after wearing for many weeks I developed ball of the foot pain. Rather than try another Asic GT 2000 I went to a big box store where I was told there had been many problems with Asics shoes recently. I settled on a Brooks shoe with plenty of room in the toebox.

I wanted to like these. They looked very nice. A full size smaller than marked. Almost no arch support. Disappointed. But Zappos will make this return super easy and I’ll keep shopping :)

This shoe is the ASICS GT-2000- 9 KNIT. It is a very different shoe than the standard GT-2000 9. The heel counter is made of a lightweight glue like plastic, that does not have the stability properties of the GT 2000 9. There are missing lateral stability struts and the lacing system is completely different, as is the material on the tongue. This leads to a shoe that does not have the stability or fit properties of the GT-2000 9.

Love the look and color but for me, they are not wide enough or have strong arch support. I have run many marathons in Asics but they seem like they have gotten narrow.

I ordered my usual size and a wide. The length was fine but the shoe was tight across my bunion. Did not feel like a wide at all. It was tight in a place where the laces were not in play. Had to send them back which was a shame since they were good looking and nice and light for summer. Customer service was great as always.

I’ve worn an 8.5 wide for the last 5 years - ordered these in that Size, in there was nothing wide about them. I even double checked because they looked like regular width ASICS. Highly disappointed.

I loved the look of these but wow were they short. I always order a half size up in running shoes in all brands. It’s been awhile since I’ve worn ASICS but these were really small. They almost felt a size smaller and more narrow than most ASICS.

My old running Gel-Kayanos were to the point of falling apart. A few weeks ago I went to a local running shop to replace them with the latest version, but they were out of stock in my size and I was told they could not order a pair for me The manager of the store recommended these shoes as a shoe comparable in style, fit, and performance. They told me that given my running style and other concerns this pair would be a great shoe for me and that I could return them if I didn't like them. Well, I don't like them and am now told I cannot return them. As someone with chronic stress fractures in my right ankle, it is imperative that I have the right shoe. I was wanting to shop local and trusted the "experts." They are NOT a great alternative to the Gel-Kayano shoe, and will now sadly sit and collect dust in my closet, only to be pulled out as backups. The sizing is the same as other Asics shoes, and I think for the right person these could be your best friend as they are light, well made, and comfortable.

Been running since 1980. After hip surgery eighteen months ago, I wanted a cushioned, supportive and comfortable shoe. I have had many running shoes over the years and know what matters. The GT2000-9 helped give me the confidence to run again and bears comparison with the best of them. Good looking shoe as well!

That the sneaker size runs small! If you are a 9 then go up to 9 1/2 to have more toe room. Especially if you need to place an orthotic in the sneaker:)

The shoes are all right, comfortable, light but under heel cushion I expected to be softer especially for someone with plater feliicies problem, but all the rest are fine

Normally I love your shoes but I think there's something wrong with them, when I walk I feel a click in the arch of the right shoe and it squeaks. It's driving me crazy.

I have worn these shoes for years. I would buy them ahead and be ready for the need of a new pair. The material used for the front toe area has declined in quality and has worn out very quickly. The rest of the shoe looks new except for the holes in the toe areas. I will be looking for another brand now.

This style shoe has given me shin splints while running. Very disappointing I cannot use them. I usually go with a less expensive model however being the runner I am I decided to spend extra for something with more comfort. Sadly, I can pinpoint this style shoe to my shin discomfort.

Good fit, but there was no support for the toes. Felt like very uneven support.

Hi! I have been a faithful buyer of the GT series. About 7 months ago I got this style and noticed that within 3 months, there was a hole in the cloth near my big toe. Usually my asics can last me at least 9 - 12 months before I feel the support getting thin. I thought this was a fluke so I ordered another pair. And the same thing happened within 2 months! This shoe has gone downhill in quality. The fabric is cheap and won't last long. I've never had holes in my asics before buying the GT-2000 9.

Not enough support than previous years. Felt less supportive and lighter and hurt my feet if I ran more than 4 miles. Would not buy again and have worn the GT 2000 for several years. Went back to previous years model.

I liked the look of these shoes. They were really tight when I tried them on, though, and they did not feel supportive because of how poorly they fit. The material did not feel very giving or flexible. I returned them and ordered my regular GT-2000s.

I bought this shoe and LOVE the way it looks. It is a joy to find my size- 12 narrow. However, within a very short time, the toes on both shoes had holes worn in to them. My size is correct so it is not from the shoe being too short. I wanted to love it, and I do love other styles in my size- but this one disappointed and needs reinforcement at the toe. I wish ASICs would offer even more shoes in 12 narrow!!!

I have had Asics before but I don't think these are the ones for me. My ankles hurt after running in them. I do love the color and the style. And the narrow width is fantastic.

The minute I unpacked the shoes I noticed right away they were too narrow. I have wide feet and when you order a wide show you expect them to be wide. So I am sending them back.
