I've worn Birkenstocks for over 20 years, and I own several pairs. The Zermatt Shearling misses the mark for me. My problem feet need a supportive shoe and good arch support. This shoe has neither. I think the shearling footbed actually reduces the level of arch support. And the rubber outsole makes for clumsy walking on carpeted areas. It's just not the at-home "slipper" I was looking for, so I'm returning Zermatt.

the size was good but the quality of the sol is really bad. The outside of the sol become very sticky like if the material is melting. they are good to go to the trash after just a little more than a year.

Got these for my birthday and loved them. They replaced a pair of LL Bean slippers I’ve had for close to 20 years. The insides started to wear bald spots in a month, in 2 months there were spots 2” or more in size. After contacting Birkenstock, they said this is considered normal wear and suggested I buy new foot beds from their suggested retailer. As much as I loved these in the beginning, I’ll never own these again. I’ll wear ‘em down to nothing and try another brand.

The felt irritates the tops of my toes and the shearling is wearing thin after a month.

The fit was too short and they had NO support.

These showed up in a plain, brown box. I'm not convinced they are genuine Birkenstocks. That said, they do not provide anything close to the arch and foot-bed support that my other Birkenstocks provide. I'd gladly sacrifice the shearling for better support.

One footbed was fine and the other was misshapen and unwearable, with the hard arch too far forward. I tried wearing them without the removeable footbed but they felt too flimsy and unsupportive that way. Wearing them without socks was uncomfortable because the upper inside is just boiled wool, so rough and not really warm on bare feet. I never thought I could be disappointed in Birkenstocks but these are now garbage.

While comfortable black fur inside of slipper will rub off and color foot.

Liked the look of them but the size 36 was too big to qualify for a 5 1/2

I have been looking for a clog style Birk that isn't ugly to wear as "house shoes" since I have been having problems with my feet. Birks have always been great for me so I was excited when I found these since they are more or less slippers. I didn't want to wear outside shoes inside anymore. Unfortunately, even though there is a cork footbed in them, the material on the bottom doesn't give them the same support. My foot pain was back bad after 3 days of wearing them. I went back to my old Birks and they are feeling better. So I'm disappointed..... I purchased the Arizona Happy Lambs and hope they will fit the bill.

I own four pair of Birkenstocks. So, when I wanted hard-soled slippers, I ordered the Birkenstock Zermatt Shearling. They fit fine, but the food bed was strange, unlike anything I've experienced with this brand. The arch was placed too close to the toe of the shoe and there was another "bump" in the foodbed in the middle of the ball of the food. These two things made the slipper uncomfortable to wear. I also did not like the shape of the toe end of the slipper. I have returned them.

The right footbed has a hard lump between the arch support and the toe ridge. The left one is fine. I was willing to pay so much for the for color, durability, mostly biodegradable elements, and knowing this size in Birks always fits. I wish I had returned them right away because this lump has not compressed over the few days I've worn them and now it's too late. Way too much to spend on not-comfy slippers and a real disappointment.

I'm an 8.5 with narrow high arched foot .... this is a cozy and nicely styled slipper, but they just don't fit my foot. Returned them and went back to my old favorites: Haflinger boiled wool.

These were HUGE! A whole size larger in length even tho I ordered my usual size and width. Will try to exchange for a smaller size and see if that works

These slippers are very stiff, including both the soles and uppers, making them quite uncomfortable. Unlike the video, which is not an accurate representation.

My husband loves these slippers. But now, a little over a year, his toe has worn through on the top. It's not like he wears these all year round and everyday. Very unsatisfactory.

I ordered size 9 narrow. Box indicates size 9 narrow. However, the shoe is much too large overall.

I have socks with more of a sole

sooo cheaply made and uncomfortable. not plush at all. the shearling is thin and you can feel the edge between the top and sole sitting right at the toenail, it even feels like your nail could get caught on it while walking.

Very uncomfortable. I was very disappointed with these slippers. I expect slippers to make my feet cozy and comfortable, these are more like a structured shoe. The sizing is also wide for my foot.

I give up looking for comfortable slippers. These by far were the most uncomfortable.

Zappos has gone so downhill since Amazon took over. These shoes looked used. They were falling apart. Going back.

Ewww! These Zermatt shearling shoes were obviously tried on by someone else because the soles are covered with cat fur!!! I was going to give them as a gift for Christmas! please replace in time for Christmas!
