This is my second pair of this shoe. The fit and support are excellent. I am a mail carrier and walk 11 miles a day. I have tried almost every shoe out there in the 21 years I have been a carrier. These are my new favorite because of the support and they also hold up well, much longer than most other shoes

I wanted to love these sneakers. I was so excited when I saw them. But, for me, they did not fit as well as other dansko sneakers or shoes. They felt narrower than I’m used to with dansko and caused a callous on the side of my foot. Had to return them. Very disappointing. Hope dansko tries to modify this style or offer it in widths.

I wear a size 9 (but can sometimes fit an 8-1/2). I've been wearing Dansko Size 40 forever. However over the past year or two, they changed the sizing. So a Size 40 is swimming and I have to order a Size 39, which seems too small. Dansko - if a Size 40 starts at 9-1/2 to 10, and a Size 39 only seems to fit an 8-1/2, what are people who wear a 9 up to 9-1/2 supposed to do?

Quality with emphasis to details, but hard construction of heal was a painful grip. Otherwise these a an A+

I originally ordered my normal Dansko size but when the shoes arrived, my toe fit all the way to the end of the shoe. I returned them and ordered the next size up. They were perfect.

Dansko has been a go-to brand for me in hard soled shoes (mostly sandals, some close-toed for work). I was hopeful that these would work as well, and they almost did! I have always worn a size 40 and wear a 9-9.5 typically in other shoes. These were just a little small. The length would have been okay, even though there was not a lot of room at the toe, but the toe box was a little too narrow, and I knew it would be a problem with longer wear. I do like the look and was okay with the stiffness of the shoe, because I kind of expect that from Dansko. Cute shoe, but just a little too snug--the next size up would have been too big.

Loved these for the nearly two months I've had them, until this started on the toe box in the pic.

I read all the reviews and people said to buy a size up. But I have a couple of Dansko clogs so I thought they would fit fine. Ordered 2 sizes anyway. 36 & 37 and the 36 fit perfect. And one of my walking buddies happened to fit the 37’s. We live in the PNW so waterproof was a must. Dansko is known for it’s superior comfort so I was super psyched for the walking shoe. The mail carrier review was another reason why I was so gung ho to get them. They said something like “they’re super comfy after being on my feet for 8 hours & it holds up in all the elements.” To me they’re comfy & stable. I love the no slip Vibram sole and they are truly water proof. #worthit

After reading multiple reviews about the size running small, I ordered the Phylicia in my usual Dansko size and also in one size up. The larger size fits well and fits like all of my other Danskos that are one size smaller. So, the smaller size (which has consitently been my reliable go-to for the brand) goes back. I should add that these are incredibly comfortable! Thank you to Zappos for your amazing returns policy!

I work 12 hour shifts in a clinic and have worn Dansko clogs for many years. I have plantar fasciitis and lower back issues, and the Dansko shoes are the only shoes where I have great arch support and do not feel like my foot is on the floor, which can aggravate my lower back issues. I decided that since I’m getting older I would like to try the sneakers which I feel would be more stable. I originally bought these in my regular size 38, however my toe was at the very end of the shoe and didn’t have much room in the toe box. I was disappointed because other than those two issues, I loved the shoes for my 12 hour shifts. After reading reviews where many were saying they run small and to go up I size, I decided to order a size 39. These shoes are now PERFECT. my toe is where it should be and I have plenty of room in the toe box. Definitely recommend if you are on your feet all day. I have converted a lot of co workers to these shoes and they all say that they no longer hurt, feet, back, and/ or legs.

Awesome right out of the box. I did something I NEVER do -- took a new pair of shoes on a trip. Only wore once for about 30 minutes before taking on the trip. From running through airports to walking & light hiking on a week-long trip. These shoes were GREAT. I wore with a light pair of socks. Normally wear a 37 in sandals & dress shoes, but these are a 38. Good toe space (my feet are somewhat wide). Love the gray & light blue color. Fit like a pair of well-broken in favorite shoes. Can't praise enough.

These are high quality & I would recommend to a friend.

This shoe ran a bit smaller than some of my previous Dansko shoes - ordered the next size up - and they were perfect - they are extremely comfortable - wore them all day on the first day that I had them.

These fit really well and seemed like they'd be comfortable for street walking BUT I was looking for a more summery light-weight kind of sneaker, so back they go. I own a lot of Danskos though, and they almost always work for me.

These run small! Order a size up. I had read the reviews and didn’t heed the warnings. Even though I had just bought a pair of Dansko’s Paisley and they fit great at a size 39, these Phylicias were tight in the toes and felt short. Exchanged them for a 40 and they fit great. They already feel good.

Really happy with these shoes. I normally wear a 9 but after reading reviews went up to size 40 instead of 39. They fit me perfectly. Used them on a hike this weekend and they felt great. They aren't my heavy duty hiking shoe but will work great as an everyday shoe up here in Vermont. Don't know how they are on slippery surfaces yet but hoping they do the trick.

Like the firm sole, great arch support and perfect padding at the ankle and tongue without overdoing it. Hiked flat terrain day 1 and climbed hills on day 2. My finicky feet feet great. Usually wear 41 in Dansko, 40 in other brands

Too small. I’m really disappointed that Dansko doesn’t make them in a size 43. I have purchased other styles that Dansko offers in a size 42 and never had any issues. These were short in the toes. I gave mine to a friend.

About a size small to my typical size

Dansko clogs in 37 always fit me. This was my first pair of Dansko 'athletic' shoes. I ordered them because of the non-slip sole, and the fact that they are water repellent. The did not fit me as I expected - they felt too narrow (I should have read the reviews before ordering) and they seemed to be 'longer' than I expected, &judging by the arch support hitting in the wrong place. I judge I would need a 1/2 smaller, but it would have been way too narrow. Also quite stiff and not very bendable. Did really like the 'grippy' feel to the sole, sorry I had to send them back. Zappos super fast and accurate as always!

I am a Dansko fanatic. I selected these because I have other "P" series shoes that are perfect. This shoe has less underfoot and ran small, I have to return them. Not sure I am going to order a size bigger because the insole is less supportive than I expected.

I would say two sizes too small, from any other shoe. otherwise a great constructed shoe

I can’t really fully review this shoes because my usual size 7.5 was fitting small on me, other then that the feel of them is very comfortable, they are hard which is good for hiking.

I'm heartbroken that I can't keep these shoes. The construction is fabulous and I can feel that the Vibram sole has incredible stability and grip; but, they definitely run small. I tend to wear a 9-9.5 so when I ordered the 9.5-10 I was actually scared they would be swimming on me. Instead, my toe is pressing against the front of the shoe. This is a killer for me because I rarely find shoes with a heel cup that grips like these do. I have medium-narrow feet and the width is just perfect for me. If your feet are on the wide side I'd pass.
