toe too wide. No support for my overpronated foot.

Too short! A full size too small in length. The bottom looks more like plastic than rubber. That concerns me. I need a good rubber bottom that prevents slipping on wet pavement or slick surfaces, like highly polished floors. The mesh looks pretty thin, like it would not last very long. Toe box is roomy, but overall the shoe materials do not look durable and the shoe appears to be cheaply made. Not a quality, well-made New Balance shoe that will last, like the 993 or 990.

A FULL SIZE TOO SMALL! In New Balance I wear a 6. Read the reviews that said the shoe ran small, so I ordered 6.5. My toes are touching the end of the shoe! The shoe runs at least a full size too small, maybe even more. Also the color is way more WHITE than gray. I don't want white and they're way too small so I'm returning them. Wish they came in a true gray color, not silvery- icy white.

Awful shoes. The top opening is very wide, about 1/3 of this shoe is the massive tongue. So, instead of slipping your foot into a shoe and then snugging it up with the laces, you are literally strapping the shoe to your foot. Has a large boat like look to it. 8.5 Medium is the size here, my exact measurement, but my toe hit the end. Because so much of the top of the shoe is the laces I think your feet could easily go numb in these because that's where most of the vasculature of your foot lies.

I have been wearing 847’s for years…buying an average of 2 pairs a year. They’ve been my go to foot wear. I have no idea what NB did to this shoe, but it is just weird. Everything seems a little “off.” Uncomfortable, ill-fitting, rubbed along side of feet, very cheap looking and feeling, Sad design change.

Overall similar quality except a much smaller (one full size) and narrower. Could not get custom inserts or my foot into either shoe.

Super comfy shoe but the heel is huge , even the toe box was a bit too roomy and I wear a 2E width. Orthotics didn’t sit in the shoe correctly ,even without them the massive heel slippage made me send them back.

These are the first pair of New Balance walking shoes that hurt my feet. They were the shortest of my regular size I have ever had, and they are not being kept. They were one full size smaller than I expected.

I have Plantar Fasciitis and Achilles Tendonitis and need a firm sole to support my ankles and feet. My podiatrist recommended a rollbar shoe like the New Balance 847. I have worn other rollbar shoes before and they were comfortable. This shoe has no cushioning and every step hurt the bottom of my feet. The New Balance 928 has both rollbar and cushioing so I might try it. If it doesn't work I'll go back to the most comfortable and supportive shoes I've ever worn, the NB 993 and NB 990. The 847 has depth, which is good if you need to use an orthotic. But it is big and clunky and feels like walking on heavy steel plates.

Unsual fit for new balance. Toe box was short. Rest of shoe felt wide. Support felt off size as well.

TINY SHOE - at least one size too small. Weird.

I have never worn a more heavy and uncomfortable shoe in my life. I would think twice before ordering these painful shoes. I thought I would eventually break them in, but unfortunately they are going to Goodwill.

The fit and size was good, I bought these in April, already the sole on the right shoe started lifting. I had to put glue on it. The shoe had no support at all. After wearing them for any length of time my feet starting hurting. Was such a bad buy especially being 5 months old

Bought for walking and they hurt too much.

The toe box was short and too narrow for a 4E shoe. Toes rubbed at the front, although I have 5 other New Balance shoes in this size that are fine.

This shoe ran both long and wide. The style looks way more orthotic than I wanted- don't want to look like my grandmother.

Overall excellent sneaker.

Love this shoe

This is a New Balance shoe that I've worn for years! I keep moving up with each new version. I need the stability and comfort for walking and exercising. I remove the insole and put in my orthotics. Zappos always gives me excellent service!

My all-time favorite walking shoe.

These are EXTREMELY comfortable, which is tough to find for me, as i have a lot of foot problems. LOVE THEM!

I have worn the 847 for many years & find it to be superlative in support and performance. Also, the narrow width is a big advantage for me. I downgraded style because I don’t care for blue, particularly, but it’s worth it for the high quality.
