I have the Cerium LT but needed something less insulated for cool days. This hit the spot. very light weight and just enough insulation for those 5 deg C days. This fits a bit looser that the Cerium, but that makes it perfect for my use. Could add a fleece underneath if more warmth is neeed.

This jacket is by far and away the best piece of gear I own. I'm a large, sweaty individual and I never feel stuffy or trapped in my Atom. It's super versatile, it's the first, and often only jacket I grab when the mercury dips. The insulation works as advertised and keeps you warm, even when it wets through. The fleece side panels give enough space for a thicker base layer or fleece and help dump heat when the going gets tough.
If you need one mid layer to rule them all, this is your jacket.

Our unit issued us all this jacket. I left for New Zealand and on the way we stopped in Alaska. We went snow skiing and it was perfect. I hiked all over New Zealand and even went jet boating with it. I was able to stay warm and dry. Shortly after I went to Arizona to the free fall school and it was in the mid thirties. I jumped out a few times and man this jacket did its job. Would 100% recommend to anyone for just about any use.

I have both hoody and this version. I like this version when I have another shell when it is raining and I like the hoody version when there is no rain and this is just enough. Both are unique and must have.

If you're only buying one piece of Arcteryx garment, this is it. I use it almost daily: as an insulation piece under my coat/jacket on my way to the office those cold mornings; stand-alone on my evening walks with the kids on those nippy spring or autumn evenings; all day when I'm sailing with my friends; and of course as a middle layer when skiing or alternatively as an outer layer on those warmer skiing days. It's my go to piece on almost every occasion. It's super comfy and it's like wearing a thin super light, super soft sleeping bag tailored to fit your body perfectly. I prefer the jacket to the hoody as I feel it is more versatile, especially around town. But I have the hoody too of course...

It's starting to be a little embarrassing but I can't stop wearing this jacket. I'm sure people are like, "Oh, look. There she is again in the same jacket!" Ha! No, I'm sure nobody is taking notes on my wardrobe but I have had several people say, "You really like that jacket, eh?" It is just so comfortable and cozy! We bought these through my work and my office can get a little chilly so I throw it on there and then it's just so comfy that I end up wearing it all day long at work. It comes time to leave and I don't want to take it off so I wear it home. I get home and want to go for a quick hike, and I'm like, "Oh, well, this jacket is perfect for today." So, wear it hiking. I do take it off in my house and it's probably not the best pajama top with the zipper and all so I don't wear it to bed. ;)

I haven't taken this jacket off since I bought it. It's so comfortable and feels like I'm in my sleeping bag all day. I'm very impressed by the warmth but also don't get sweaty riding uphill in mid 50s. Everything about this jacket just feels nice.
Downsides are the price. I think for a lot of people it would be better to put the money towards down which will last longer. There's also no stow away pocket which would have been a nice addition. Lastly, I do find visible branding quite crass and you definitely get that with this jacket.
I'm 5'3", 35"-27"-39" and the Small fits me perfectly with the exception of extra material in the arms.

I love this jacket! I probably could've done a medium but wanted to be able to wear hoodies and sweaters under so went with a large. For reference I'm 5'2" and 140 lbs.

I usually buy this sort of jacket with a good, but picked this up to wear as a mid-later underneath my Belstaff jacket on cold days and underneath a rain coat on wet/mild days, both for commuting in the UK. Really light and warm without making you over-heat. Nice finish with nice side pockets and excellent cuffs that don't slide up under other layers, or poke out of coat sleeves. Seems to have a decent DWR finish on it. Would buy a couple more of there was a wider colour choice (I have Navy but would like something brighter too).

Lightweight, easy to pack away. Despite how light it is, it's still very warm! Chic to use as a daily jacket. It's form fitting and feels like it's mase for me. I'm using the jacket more casually currently but looking forward to using it as a midlayer for skiing in Colorado.

I used this mostly as a midlayer, but it holds up with a long sleeve shirt in pretty cold temperatures. Combined with a merino base layer and my Alpha SV jacket and Stinger bib, the only part of me that was cold after skiing in 0 degrees F with 30-50mph winds was my hands because of inferior gloves, which has since been remedied.

I have a lot of Arcteryx. Entry to top of the line. The Atom LT is the best return on investment I've experienced. A very simple, unassuming, featherlight, DWR midlayer that can be utilized in all sorts of different scenarios. DWR doesn't mean waterproof. If it starts to rain or wet snow, you need a supplemental solution. But if it's just dashing from an Uber into a bar in Seattle, you're good. Try to shake it off. Synthetic filler isn't the quickest to dry. I've enjoyed this guy solo over a t-shirt, non-actively, down to 40f. It's impressive. When paired with a delta lt, you're good to 25f. Throw on a shell and climb a mountain. If you have friends who are skeptical of Arcteryx, loan them one of these. They'll understand.

I love my atom jacket, I bought it for skiing but have been wearing it a lot at home. It fits under most of my other coats, including my leather jacket, as it is very thin and lightweight but it is really warm. I would recommend it to anyone who feels the cold and I have been encouraging everyone in my family to get one

By far my favorite jacket! Very light comfortable and keeps you warm during most weather conditions. I own two of these jackets and recommend this jacket to everyone!

This jacket is my go-to item in late Fall, Winter, and early Spring. When the weather is wet or cold, I layer it under my Beta AR. The combination is perfect. The Atom LT is lightweight but durable and can safely be collapsed into a bag or pack. Springs right back with no evidence of wear. Easy to clean and quick to dry.

I owned the vest and now I have the jacket. So, I liked the vest enough to double down. The fit on these run a little large, so maybe size down a size if you're near the lower end of the size range.
For late fall through early spring, this is the perfect runabout jacket for in city days ranging into the 40s (Fahrenheit) and for nighttime dog walking. I'd not want to be in this jacket (only) at sub 40 temps for any extended period of time, though, I expect this with a longsleeve wool shirt ought to suffice for spring ski days.

I've gotten two for my in-laws and one for myself. Build quality is great as well as better than expected rain performance and good wind resistance as long as you don't let the side panels face the wind. Very lightweight as well.
Great for solo use in cool weather, but if you spend more time around freezing temps the AR Hoody may be a better bet.

I did a lot of research before buying my Atom LT, and so far have not been disappointed! I had a hard time choosing between black and black sapphire, but went with the black sapphire which I'm very happy with. I think it looks more natural in the outdoors (where I'm usually wearing it) but still looks professional in an urban environment (where I also wear it almost every day). I like the non-hooded jacket version as I'm typically wearing it with a hat or another hooded later (Zeta LT) if I really need a hood, but that's a personal choice.
It is not a jacket that keeps you super warm, but that's is not it's intent. It is extremely breathable and wicks moisture away. I also find it does a good job of working in a variety of mild temperatures and activities. Looking forward to using it as a mid layer skiing in the Rockies this winter.

this is my 3rd atom lt - i also own the ar model. i bought this one to add another color as i wear this model so much - didn't want people to think it was the only jacket i owned - lol. honestly i travel a lot, and use the lt and a beta sl shell combo year round, except for colder weather (below 0). it is super comfortable, lightweight and packs very easily.

This jacket rolls into a tiny ball, great for travel, and yet still looks super sharp. I used to buy small, but for this I purchased an XS, as their fit is so perfect. It has a bit of stretch from the side panels, which also allow for breathability. The fit at the wrists is perfect for me and holds the jacket in place. It keeps me warm through all but the very coldest of days, when I switch to a thicker coat. It also disappears under other layers, so it can be used in a wider variety of ways. Great coat!

Bought this as a possible layer under a shell for when it gets really cold. Discovered it is a great jacket solo for walking, hiking, anything outdoors that's casual.
Sizing: I'm normally a Large in coats due to wide shoulders. I tried a large and a medium in this jacket. I opted to go with the Medium. It is form fitting--but I can still put a sweater or fleece under it as long as they aren't really bulky. Even then the jacket would still fit, just be tight on the arms--but it does stretch so it wouldn't be unwearable.. I suspect though that if it is cold enough to be wearing something that bulky, I'll be wearing a warmer jacket....

This is hands down my favorite thing to wear for any active pursuit. I live near the coast in Connecticut and this comes in handy for all my winter runs but especially on windy days. I love the side gussets, which help you move freely. It's so lightweight that it feels like nothing on so you can layer to your hearts content. You can wash it but you don't need to wash it that much because it doesn't retain odors like fleece does. If it's under 30 I'll wear it over a thin merino base layer for a run. For skiing I wear it over a variety of layers and under a shell or even a heavier ski jacket on extra cold days. Sometimes I just throw it on as an extra layer around the house. It wicks moisture beautifully. It's pretty much close to perfect. I wear it more than any other layer I own. I'm hoping Arteryx will he help me fix this zipper cuz I love this thing so much!!
