I purchased this jacket for all around walking and hiking to replace an older Arc'teryx fleece jacket. The Atom LT is incredibly light and warm and perfect to wear over a t-shirt or layering piece underneath. The jacket is light enough and not bulky so it works well under my Arc'teryx rain jacket. It's true to size and fits well.

This is easily the most versatile article of clothing I've ever owned. To call it a "jacket" is a misjustice as it does so much more. Have had my black Atom LT for 6 years and it's just now showing signs of pilling and wear. I'm talking 6 years of DAILY use, commuting to work on my bicycle, walking around the city, or relaxing at home. Either stand-alone or layered, it's become a second skin.
Rarely does a product come around that everyone should own, and this is it.
Get one. You won't regret it. I've since bought two hooded Atoms, but the collared version is still my go-to.

Excellent jacket! Wore it out hiking the other day, layered with a few other pieces, and I maintained the perfect temperature. Keeps the heat and is extremely comfortable. You can see and feel the quality of this jacket. It is extremely versatile and am excited to use this piece on my snowboarding and snowshoeing adventures this winter!

I’m going to cut to the chase because there is no need to echo the thousands of positive reviews on this jacket.
Pros:
1. Most awesome jacket ever. It’s the material mainly. How it envelops you with warmth and regulates temperature throughout the day is nothing short of MIRACULOUS. It feels so soft and silky next to your skin. (Yeah I’m a guy, but I can think of no other way to explain how nice this material feels…) You’ll wonder if they didn’t make a deal with the devil somehow in order to come up with this.
2. Buy the hoody version if you don’t already have one. Why? Because imagine all that amazing comfort and miraculous—literally miraculous temperature regulating warmth that envelops your entire body when you put on the jacket…. Imagine also have an silky, soft ROOMY hood to pull over your head when it is cold or rainy.
However: I’m reviewing the non-hoody version so I want to tell you how much I like it. I bought this version only because It was on sale in the color I wanted…. But let me tell you, the first time input it on I was blown away. I love the clean look without the hood. Very sharp. Will have many practical applications. I’m just saying: get the hoody for your first jacket. Buy this one second. Don’t let the price difference sway you. Spend a few extra bucks for the overall experience.
3. Style: it’s perfect. I feel like it goes with everything. I can wear it every single day. Because of that, I wish I had seven of these or more in different colors. Haha. Trust me, I get dressed all winter it’s jeans, a moisture wicking t-shirt and this jacket. Boom. I don’t even want to wear anything else. It’s a perfect mid-layer. Just keep a Gore-tex shell with you and you are ready for most anything.
Cons: Okay, so you know if there is an extreme upside, there has to be a downside, right? Well, as perfect as this material is, it isn’t very durable. It does show wear over time. NOT a dealbreaker for me at all. I wore this at least four days a week all winter. It still looks pretty good.
It starts to show its wear quickly. Some pilling under the sleeves where it rubs, the material loses its form/shape a little bit. Nothing too dramatic, but it starts to look worn out.
If you wear it like me, expect to get a year out of it. If you take good care if it, and don’t camp and hike as much as I do—maybe two? Maybe longer? That’s not a lot of time for a jacket this expensive, so that is definitely a drawback in my opinion.
Still, Indint care. Look for a sale if you have to. it’s worth it. Do it!

Started with a heavier piece of Arc gear- the Fission SV- but it became apparent that this is the main "entry" piece for most.
I picked this up spring of last year, and being a mainly Patagonia person until this point, I was pleased to find the fit worked even better for my 6'3 200ish lbs athletic build. Perfect arm length, hem landed juuuust right. Plus, as someone who runs warm, this jacket works for me into the high 30s/low 40s. Really a great piece of gear.
I grabbed the Binary colorway just recently to get some color variety- only had the Flux (reddish) colorway until now. With the updated model it seems my only small gripe- the loose zipper- has been fixed! Great gear

I bought my 1st Atom LT around 15 years ago. I still have that jacket, It was a terrific royal blue. Since then I've bought a purple Atom LT and a black one. Think I like this jacket, wrong - I LOVE it!
So now I'd like another one, but the colors are blah. I love the Green Bushwhack that the Cerium Hoody comes in. Looking at the colors of the Atom Hoody (which I also have), I really don't like those colors either. While I love the products, I hope Arc'teryx starts to finally offer women dynamic colors instead of pink, and other pale colors.
I'd even buy a second Cerium LT, but I'd want the green without a hood.
Please Arc'teryx, listen to your customers and make your wonderful products even more appealing to women by offering great colors.

I came across this brand several years ago and it is great to finally find a Men's XS that actually fits me. Since I struggle to find quality products that fit me I now own several different types of their jackets and they all work great.

I purchased one of these in black and it's got to be one of the best (synthetically) insulated jackets I've ever worn.
It's comfortable, lightweight and works either on its own or under another jacket or shell.
I've been wearing it under a Zeta AR and Interstate Jackets. Both of these are sized Large and my Atom LT is an XL. I'm somewhat between sizes, where I find XL shells too large and Large (slimmer fitting items) to be too small.
The Atom LT is definitely a must have jacket, whether you get it with or without a good.

I bought this jacket early last fall. I have used it right through the winter. In the shoulder seasons its worked great as a full jacket. When skiing it is a great mid layer. Its super comfortable and flexible making it easy to wear for any activity.

I bought this a few months ago as a mid layer for my Arc'teryx Interstate Jacket (Proteus). It works perfectly together, and the two Proteus colours match.

I got this jacket for an insulation layer under my work jacket, it works perfectly.
Keeps you warm and dry, very breathable on high excretion activities. Also, warm and comfortable to wear around town. Overall versatile jacket!

I bought this jacket for my husband last year. It's very light and warm. The Arcteryx brand is equated to the best in class. This jacket doesn't disappoint when it's in use.

Great as a layer for skiing or general purpose outdoor aerobic use in cold weather. Warm enough to wear about town, probably not warm enough for cold temperatures where you're standing around. Great fit, lightweight. My go-to jacket for skiing base layer or wearing out and about.

I bought this primarily as a casual jacket that would look sharp and not too outdoorsy but also had features way beyond a typical fashion brand. It does that but to an even higher standard than I was expecting.
It has clearly had a lot of thought put into the design, not just in terms of the features but the fit & feel. For such a light jacket it is ridiculously cosy and the panelling means it works with a range of body types. Even the cuffs are brilliant!
The only negative is that the hem drawcord is a little bit fiddly to loosen but that's hardly a day to day issue.
So, from buying a fantastic casual jacket, I've actually ended up with a fantastic jacket that works anywhere from around town to instant warmth on the hill. Very highly recommended.

This is the best jacket I have ever had. Was skeptical at first because I don't like puffy jackets but it's not really puffy at all.
I wear this jacket every day and want to get another color. The best thing about this jacket is that it "knows" whether you're hot or cold. When you're cold it keeps you warm. And when you're getting hot it starts to breathe. Seriously, I'm never uncomfortable (hot or cold) when I'm wearing this jacket. And it has held up to my abuse very well. I wear it every day and I'm not gentle on this jacket but it hasn't started to show signs of wear after 2.5 years. Buy this jacket, you will not be disappointed!

I bought this jacket as a base layer to go under my shell for snowboarding. It works wonderful for that. But then I found that every time I wanted to go outdoors I reached for this jacket! I live on the California central coast. I spend a lot of time outdoors hiking, mountain biking etc. This jacket is the perfect weight. It's lightweight and warm, wind resistant. It's nice fitting and the color (dark purple) is great to wear as an everyday jacket when out and about. I bought one for my husband and my son and they both pretty much wear it exclusively every day.

I love the Atom series of jackets and vest's they offer, great light weight warm synthetic garments easy to pack and wear, the DWR help's to shed light rain and makes the more usable. everyone should have a least 1 (I have a atom AR hoodie, Aton LT Jacket and Atom SL vest but i might be a bit Obsessed)
