I have MS with neuropathy in left leg and foot, as well as, RA which have destroyed my hands and feet. M doctor recommended some very expensive, unattractive, and most important, painful to wear! I had a couple pair of Merrill's, one. Ring this style and when my feet became too painful to walk inside my home without severe pain, I knew I had to find a shoe that would help me be able to be up and about walking. I found the mesh one styled like this one and love it beyond words and received tons of compliments. Since then, I realized this style shoe is going to be the best for me to continue with a higher quality of life, thus, about 6 months ago I bought the army green colored mesh slip on, as well as, the brown leather one like this black one, but not in wide. I've been trying to keep checking for a pair of the black leather ones, that aren't wide (1st choice as all others are not wide and fit perfectly, but keep being sold out, thus, (2nd choice), black leather in wide. Just a little advise about shoes. If it's a shoe that fits well and meets the needs of your feet, it's wise to invest in 2 pair, at least! Being a nurse, and on your feet for 12+ hrs a day, shoes need "a resting period" to allow the insole areas to return back to their original shape, thickness, etc. When you wear the same shoe, long days, day after day, they will meet their demise, sooner than later! I love the fit and the comfort! They also look great, have good traction, even on wet floors, and are easy to slip on and off. These are my new favourite shoes!

It is just what I was looking for. Great comfort throughout. Support was excellent for my flat feet. A long day with no discomfort!! At last!! The color and composition looks good with jeans and nice pants.

2nd pair I have ordered as they are so comfortable. Worn the first pair out after two years.

These are the only shoes I've worn for over 6 years. They are comfortable, yet provide great support for folks with bad knees and backs. Please do not discontinue!

After sandal season I live in these! So comfy..love them! The new pair is a back up not needed yet!

This is my 5th pairs, after our Minister gifted me with one last Christmas of 2009. And it lasted for 4 years, and still use it for gardening now. Since then, I have bought at least 5 of different colors. Very confotable & durable are my topmost quality fo these footwear.

These are great slip-ons. Really comfortable. Great fit. I've been a big fan of these shoes for many years.

This is the second Encore pair I've gotten, the first being the Breeze mesh style. Living in northern Minnesota, I wear boots outdoors nearly half the year. So this will be an "indoor" pair, to be worn in my house and taken to places where boots are hot and cumbersome. They're easy to get off and on, yet they provide good support. Merrill is the brand that works best for me. After a fall on the ice that busted up my right foot and broke my ankle in three places, I need footwear that provides good stability. I have three pairs of Merrill shoes and three pairs of Merrill boots, one that is 20 years old. They are worn, but useful to keep chains on for when I have to nip out when it's icy out.

Great fit as expected! Even with the lower back the shoes don't slip from the heal. I wore these in Nova Scotia in October. True to size in black leather.

These are my favorite shoes! I also have them in brown. Durable and comfortable. These shoes can go almost anywhere!

Absolutely love this shoe. It has good support, is leather, and attractive together with the ease of slipping it on.

Perfect for walking and standing. I have bunions and plantar fasciitis - these are my go to shoes and have never let me down. I could walk forever in these shoes. They are great for travelling - going through security is a breeze because they are no work to put in the bin. This is my 3rd pair of the same shoe and I am a big fan.

Wonderful for travel and sightseeing. Comfort, sturdiness, and safe on wet cobblestone streets. Feet feel great all day long.

This is my third pair of these shoes, over the last 10 years. I wear them for work and they last for such a long time. They have a good balance of lots of support for my feet, while still looking professional.

This is my 2nd pair of these, they're super comfy, and although they look like a clog there is a back so they stay on well. I work at a hospital and am on my feet most of the day, and these are perfect ! And non permeable, which is a footwear requirement for us

I am totally addicted to Merrell shoes. They are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned.

The toe box stretches a wee bit, but all the better for wide feet like mine!
