A great boot for cold days and snow. I have very bad feet so I wish they were a little more comfortable but I added insoles and that seems to help a little.

I was so excited to receive these boots so quickly. They would be perfect for taking the dog on walks in the woods and park, with mud, puddles, gravel and snow. The soles have great traction; they appear to be waterproof around the bottom, and they have a lip on the heal so you can get them off. They seem warm enough for winter, as well, and have pretty good foot support for walking. However, they were just too tight around the top of the boot, above my ankles, at the opening. It felt like I was wearing shackles. And I don't have large shins/calves, either. I ordered my normal size that I wear in other Merrells (8 1/2). The fit was ok with my wool like socks that I normally wear in fall/winter. I think if I sized up, they would be too big and slip, and the ankle may still be too snug. I really wanted to keep these, but they were too uncomfortable, so sent them back. I'll have to try to get to a store to try others on to see if others fit the same.

Really good traction. Comfortable easy to pull on. Roomy toe.

Great traction. A little uncomfortable at top of boot as I have short legs, and thick calves. Suspect if I were to wear them more they may "give" a little.

Excellent grip, warm, the edges of the boot that sit above the ankle are a bit stiff and need wearing-in to adjust to the movement.

Great boots! Warm light waterproof. Always had a great experience with Merrell. Just a little tight on the ankle but still worth it

Great boots, comfy and just what I was looking for, something I could slip into, waterproof, light and rugged. I found them stiff at the leg for the first little while but have worn them in now and that is no longer an issue, other than zipper is tough to get up when I wear winter fleece lined leggings tucked in. They are roomy and definitely would fit thicker socks however as there is lots of room in ordering my usual size (8). I wear them for my many walks with my dog and always have warm feet moving otherwise on a cold day not moving I did get cold feet. I really like these!!!

Runs slightly larger than the Merrell hiking shoes I have bought, just right for a thicker sock. A little harder to get on than I thought they would be with a zipper, but warm, dry, and wonderful. I wouldn't consider them an easy to get on and off boot, which surprised me.

Good boots. The only issue is with the zippers that do not stay in place. Les zippers se dzippent constamment

I purchased this boot before for functionality and easy on and off..and the zipper will not stay up. However It is a great little boot and has otherwise held up great and remains waterproof with great traction in mud, snow, ice! Disappointing about the zipper.

Unfortunately, the boot was too tight around the ankle and a bit too stiff for me. I love Merrell's and wear their shoes all the time, but not this boot.

Love the shoe, but the top ankle part is bent inward on one shoe and both shoe tops are very stiff. I wish the top ankle was a little wider. The rest of the shoe fits and is really comfortable.

I had high hopes that this boot would go with me to Iceland. I wear size 7 but couldn't even get my foot into a 7 or 7 1/2 with a slightly heavy sock. Both sizes are on their way back to Merrell.

Nice and light, but as others said, zippers keep unzipping Also a little stiff, the zipper hurts my ankle by rubbing on it.

I loved everything about these boots, but I had to return the because the ankle opening was too small to get my foot in.

True to size, aggressive tread, great for winter hiking in snow, mud, steep inclines. Zipper is challenging, comes undone if not zipped all the way up, sewn together at zipper there is irregularity, poor quality control on manufacturing, the leather bulges out. I kept them because i have been desperate to get out hiking in the snow, since they work, I'll make do. It's been a challenge to find a decent women's waterproof hiker with good tread, these are the best i found.

I bought the men's version. While the aggressive tread is great in snow and fit/comfort of the foot was what I have experienced with many Merrells over the years, the zipper is a major problem. I can't wear the boots much at all. The zippers are very difficult to zip up all the way. I've never been able to get the left boot's zipper all the way up since I bought them. You need to apply quite a bit of force pulling them up and there's no pull loop in the zipper. It's difficult to maintain your grip on the minimal tab. I actually threaded a small zip tie through the zipper pull to create a loop large enough to get a finger through. And the zippers don't stay up especially if you are doing something that flexes your feet around much. A boot that doesn't stay zipped isn't any good in snow more than an inch or two deep. I really wanted to love these boots but find they just sit in my closet.

I had to send this boot back. It was very difficult to get in and out of. I ordered the same size as my previous Merrell boots, 7.5, but these boots were too small. So I am not sure if the style is hard to get in and out of, or because the boot was too small I had difficulty.

I ordered these in early December in the color clay and was so excited when they arrived. Unfortunately, for this shoe, a half size smaller would have been the correct size. In placing an exchange I found out no more size 7.5 in that color were in stock, and wouldn't be again until October! Although there is a Merrell outlet store in my town this shoe is not offered there so I had to ship it back for a refund.

These are nice looking boots but they are not true fit size. I wear an 8 and when I got mine they were not even close. I couldn't even get them on. If you need a wide don't even buy. Hopefully I can get a refund.
